EA Has No Interest or Time for HD Remakes

Electronic Arts has little interest in re-releasing its old games, so don’t expect that Mass Effect Trilogy remake to release any time soon. When publishers release old games on new platforms, EA COO Peter Moore told IGN, “It feels like pushing stuff out because you’ve run out of ideas.”

Moore explained why EA isn’t into this approach to releasing games. “Remakes, because of who we are, and this broad portfolio of intellectual property...you add all that together, I don’t know where we find the time to do remakes,” Moore said. “We’re a company that just likes to push forward.”

Arkham Knight to Get Batman v Superman DLC

Batman v Superman DLC is coming to Batman: Arkham Knight.

The movie tie-in pack will be available from November and comes with a Batman v Superman-themed batsuit and batmobile.

Nintendo NX Reportedly Coming 2016 with ‘Industry-Leading’ Tech

Nintendo is apparently sending out dev kits for its upcoming NX console, revealing new details about the system.

The Wall Street Journal claims sources are saying the console will come with "industry-leading chips" to ensure it can compete with PS4 and Xbox One and coax back third-party developers, as well as a "mobile unit that could either be used in conjunction with the console or taken on the road for separate use".

All of this tallies with rumours about what the controller will look like, along with a patent filed by Nintendo earlier this year. What's really interesting, however, is what this means for the release date of such a machine.

Interestingly, the Skull Kid figure features the same pose as the one shipped with pre-orders of the limited edition Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL.

These aren’t the only Nintendo-themed figures on the way. At this year’s Summer Wonder Festival in Chiba, Japan, the Good Smile Company showcased Nendoroids, which are an excessively cute mix of chibi-Nintendo characters in the style of Funko Pop!, albeit with interchangeable parts and articulation.
