Hundreds of App Store Apps Banned For Storing Users’ Personal Info
Hundreds of iOS apps have been pulled from the App Store, following a report that a group of applications were extracting users' personally identifiable information.
The pulled apps had been using a software development kit from Chinese company Youmi, which accessed the personal information through private APIs. Information collected included email addresses associated with users' Apple IDs, device and peripheral serial numbers, and a list of apps installed on their devices.
According to a report released by analytics service SourceDNA and reported on by TechCrunch, for some time Youmi has apparently been testing what sort of information-gathering features it can get through Apple's App Review process.
Worlds: The Quarterfinal Come to a Thrilling End
Four teams remain in the 2015 League of Legends World Championships. After three long weeks of competition, two Korean and two European squads have moved on to face each other in the semifinals to attempt to punch their tickets to the finals in Berlin.
Let’s take a look back on how they got there.
It may have taken a while, but Origen was able to take down the Flash Wolves in four games in the first quarterfinal match. With no single game finishing before the 40 minute mark, the two late game-focused teams were happy to just farm up a storm for the first chunk of any given game, only to explode into brutal and chaotic team fights once they had sufficient items in their inventory.
