Navigate Long-Distance Relationships in Cibele this November
Creator Nina Freeman announced today the narrative-driven game Cibele will release on PC November 2.
A game about "love, sex, and the internet," Cibele follows the story of two young people as they meet and interact through an online game with the intention of eventually hooking up. An autobiographical account, the events within are largely inspired by Freeman's own experiences while spending time in Final Fantasy XI.
Cibele will sell for $9 USD both on Steam and as a direct digital download. Visit the game's official website to learn more, or read IGN's Cibele preview to learn why one editor called it "the most realistic portrayal of two people flirting" they've ever seen.
Breaking Down the New Force Awakens Poster
Disney has gifted Star Wars fans early this year, as a new poster dropped the day before the company is releasing the first full-length trailer for The Force Awakens. The poster is a great tease for what will likely be a more substantial trailer than Disney has released so far, and includes plenty of great reveals to geek out over.
Here's a full breakdown of what we considered the biggest talking points from the poster -- and here's hoping some of our big questions (Where is Luke? Is that Starkiller base?) are answered in the upcoming trailer.
The Weirdest Alternative Costumes in Games
Alternative costumes can add some great visual variation to a game, be a source of humor on a second playthrough, or even come with a couple of neat perks.
While some unlockables still fit the game world, like the many variations of the batsuit in the Arkham series, others are just plain weird. Here’s our list of the funniest alternative costumes in games, in no particular order…
Halo 5: Guardians Spartan Companies Revealed
Halo 5: Guardians will feature a brand-new community system called Spartan Companies.
According to 343 Industries announcement on Halo Waypoint, Spartan Companies will allow players to more easily connect with friends and like-minded gamers. You can either join a Company or create one of your own, but your account can only be tied to one group at a time. It's also worth noting that each Company caps out at 100 members.
Companies are also granted access to their own private forums on Waypoint, where each player can check out the stats of their fellow group members. In addition to individual Spartan profiles, each Company has a profile page of its own, which features a customizable banner, motto, emblem, and more.

The new Halo 5 characters will come to Minecraft as a free update for people who own the Halo mash-up pack, which costs $4/€3.80/£2.70 on Xbox Live. That means Master Chief, Fredric, Kelly, Linda, Locke, Buck, Tanaka and Vale will soon show up in the sandbox game.
The original Halo mash-up pack already features 40 character skins and 31 musical tracks from the franchise. Plus, there are pre-made worlds based off Silent Cartographer, Valhalla and Blood Gulch, to name a few.
Counter-Strike: GO Tops Steam’s Most-Played Games
Steam's concurrent user base has reached a new high, as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive climbs its way to the top as the service's most-played game.
According to the latest data on Valve's Steam & Game Stats page, over 10.7 million gamers were concurrently using the service yesterday, surpassing the prior 10 million record set back in June.
As far as games are concerned, Counter-Strike: GO leads the pack of most-played Steam titles, followed closely thereafter by Valve's pair of free-to-play hits: Dota 2 and Team Fortress 2.
Valve's new streaming device Steam Link and its accompanying Steam Controller are set to release next month. While the hardware is currently incompatible with Mac, the company is working on a fix.
Ubisoft Offers Early Beta Access as Part of New Loyalty Program
Ubisoft has introduced Ubisoft Club, a new rewards program for its games. In its video introduction, Ubi says the rewards can be accumulated regardless of platform and can be used to grant access to in-game content, beta participation, "limited edition goodies" and discounts in the Uplay shop.
The program grants XP, badges, and Uplay Units for playing any Ubisoft game. Ubisoft Club is a rebranding and redesign of Ubisoft's previous Uplay rewards program, Uplay Win, which operated in nearly the same way save for the Ubisoft Club name.
The video encourages you to "sign up now," on the Ubisoft Club website. Of course, you'll need a Uplay account to take advantage of the rewards offered through the club.

Last Sons of America Puts a Sci-fi Spin on Human Trafficking
We've seen stories where humans are unable to have kids -- Children of Men certainly comes to mind -- but Last Sons of America from Boom! Studios is a bit more specific with its premise: What if Americans couldn't have kids anymore? Restricting the concept to the United States adds a sociopolitical element that heightens the real-world parallels of both adoption agencies and human traffickers.
