Football Manager 2016 and More Announced

Sega and Sports Interactive have announced three new Football Manager games that are scheduled for release this year.

As expected, Football Manager 2016 will be coming out on PC and Mac, but Football Manager Touch will also be coming out for PC and tablets. Previously known as Football Manager Classic, Touch is the quick play mode which has been within the full game before (and for tablets since March). This is the first time it will be available separately through Steam and on tablets. Football Manager Mobile will also be coming to all iOS and Android devices.

“For some time now it’s been clear to us that there is no ‘one size fits all’ football management experience,” says Sports Interactive head Miles Jacobson. "The introduction of Football Manager Touch as a standalone offering – playable across computer and tablet – means that we now offer something for everyone.”

Eco Challenges Players to Create a Living, Breathing World

Global survival game Eco has taken to Kickstarter to help fund its on-going PC development.

What’s a global survival game? Well, that’s where things get interesting. Eco is, in a nutshell, Minecraft with repercussions. Every action has a reaction. Chop down a forest to build a lovely shack, and there’s a chance you’ll live to regret it.

It’s not just about the solo play anymore (although there is a single-player mode). Eco is about global survival, rather than just the individual. The world itself is populated by thousands of simulated plants and animals – each of which will be living out their everyday life via a server running round the clock.

Ubisoft Announces Assassin’s Creed and Rabbids Theme Park

Ubisoft has announced it's teaming up with RSG to create a "next-generation" theme park based on properties including Assassin's Creed, Just Dance and Rabbids.

Due to open in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, sometime in 2020, the 10,000 square meter park will aim to build on the success the publisher has enjoyed since launching its Rabbids Dark Ride at French park Futuroscope.

Given the location, some sort of tie-in with Far Cry 4 would certainly make a great deal of sense.

“Together we are creating a place where every guest is a player, every ride is a playground, every visit is a game,” said Jean de Rivières, senior vice president, Ubisoft Motion Pictures. “In RSG, we’ve found a partner with a successful track record in working with international brands, a shared ambition to design the family destination of the future, and a wealth of expertise in theme park development.”

Halo Composer Wins Bungie Shares, Creative Control Lawsuit

Marty O’Donnell, former long-time Bungie employee and the award-winning music composer for the Halo series and Destiny, has won a lawsuit against the studio over outstanding shares, VentureBeat reports.

The final ruling by arbitrator Sharon S. Armstrong, published by Venturebeat, found that Bungie breached the duty of good faith and fair dealing when it withheld stock and participation in the Profit Participation Plan.

O’Donnell and Bungie parted ways on April 11, 2014, with the composer saying he was terminated "without cause." The developer withheld his shares citing a previous agreement that O’Donnell would give up his founders’ shares if he left voluntarily.

With work taking place outside of normal hours, Armello has been a passion project for the Melbourne-based League of Geeks; a studio made up of veteran developers from the local scene. The goal of the trip is to the sell the concept of a true digital board game for the iPad.

But also, the vision of Armello.

Daredevil S2: Bernthal Reveals Punisher’s Arsenal

This shouldn't come as much of a surprise, but The Punisher owns a lot of guns. He is literally a one-man army, and his forthcoming small screen counterpart will certainly live up to that lethal persona in Season 2 of Marvel's Daredevil.

Punisher actor Jon Bernthal took to Twitter to reveal his character's arsenal of guns. His one word caption said it all: "PUNISH."

Production on Daredevil's sophomore season is well underway in New York City. In addition to Bernthal's Punisher, new additions to the cast include Elodie Yung as Elektra and Stephen Rider as D.A. Blake Tower, a new ally of Matt Murdock's (Charlie Cox).

Star Wars Comic to Explain C-3PO’s Red Arm

C-3PO is sporting a shiny new red arm in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and an upcoming comic book will explain why.

Marvel announced Star Wars Special: C-3PO #1 this week, a one-shot comic following the protocol droid on a solo adventure. Somewhere along the way he'll get his red arm, presumably in a less heroic fashion than Anakin and Luke's robotic limbs. The droid did have a tendency to come apart in both trilogies after all.
