Hi-Rez Studios Releases Smite on Steam
Smite players can now use the Steam client to play the popular mythology-themed MOBA on PC.
Today, Hi-Rez Studios announced the release of Smite on Steam, gaining access to a much larger install base than its own proprietary service, with over 10 million players. Current Smite players will retain their Hi-Rez accounts as the game supports server integration between Steam and Hi-Rez’s infrastructure.
Smite is a MOBA utilizing a third-person camera angle instead of the familiar top-down view as seen in popular games in the genre like League of Legends and Dota 2. The playable characters are based on various mythological figures like Zeus, Loki, and Thor.
“The time is right for Smite on Steam,” Hi-Rez Studios co-founder and COO Todd Harris said in a statement. “The platform has evolved to include more quality free-to-play titles and, most importantly, better ways for users to discover them. Now is the best time yet to see what Smite is all about, and we’re excited to make it even easier for the more than 125 million active users worldwide who call Steam home to dive in for free.”
Wrestling Wrap Up: Sting Destroys Seth Rollins’ Statue
A wacky and wild week of wrasslin', folks. An eclectic grouping of past sins and present day silliness. Lana broke her wrist so she'll be out the rest of the year, TNA's threatening (or promising - whichever) a big reveal involving a huge name from their past (please don't let it be Hogan), and Daniel Bryan went goats*** crazy and recycled his own turds on Total Divas.
Top 10 Star Wars: The Force Awakens Toys
Last Thursday I headed to Disney's London HQ to play with most of the new Star Wars toys, before purchasing a good deal of them just after midnight to continue said research in the comfort of my own home.
Below are the findings of said research.
This list contains some pretty expensive Star Wars toys, but there has to be a place for the humble 3.75-inch action figure ($9.99/£9.99).
I mean, this is where it all began and it still underpins the entire range.
Like many action figures currently on the market, each Star Wars figure comes with a component of a weapon which can be assembled if you buy all three characters within a particular 'Mission Theme'.
Destiny Sequel Originally Set to Release This Month
Destiny was originally intended to launch in 2013, with a sequel initially planned for September 2015.
According to online court documents following the legal dispute between Bungie and long-time Bungie employee Marty O'Donnell, sequels for the sci-fi shooter -- referred to in the paperwork as Project Tiger -- were planned for every other year until September 2019, ending with a "largest downloadable content product" for Comet (read: Destiny) 4 in 2020.
Destiny: Exploring The Taken King’s New Crucible Maps
In about one week's time, Destiny is yet again set to evolve. The evolution of Bungie's shared-world shooter has been ongoing and the developer is yet again listening to fans and implementing some long needed changes. This week we get a preview of what to expect from the Crucible side of things. We already know that the Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris are going on a leave of absence for the time being, but in their place we're getting multiple new gametypes, including the popular Rift mode. Rift is Destiny's Capture the Flag with a few tweaks, including a large detonation that kills anyone near you when scoring some points on the opposing team. Needless to say, it's quite rewarding.

New Wii U Bundle Comes With Pre-Installed Mario Kart 8 in US
Nintendo has announced a new Wii U bundle is now available in North America.
The bundle will set you back $299 and includes a premium Wii U console with Mario Kart 8 pre-installed, along with a Nintendo eShop download card for the game's two DLC packs.
Mario Kart 8’s additional content packs have been a pleasant surprise for anyone still itching to race. The November pack wowed us with the addition of Link and Hyrule Circuit, before a second pack added a pair of Villagers, Isabelle, and an amazing Animal Crossing course, a track that randomly picks one of four seasons as a level motif.
And if eight new gorgeous tracks, four new karts, and three new racers wasn’t enough, there’s 200cc -- a blistering new speed level that really changes the way you race.

It’s been announced that Star Wars: The Force Awakens will hit UK screens a day earlier than previously announced.

The UK won’t be the first territory to see The Force Awakens however, with the film releasing in France on December 16.
So who is heading to Paris with us?
Chris Tilly is the Entertainment Editor for IGN in the UK and really, REALLY can't wait for this. He can be found talking nonsense on The Superhero Show and Twitter.

The shows will take place in Bristol on October 29, Cardiff October 30, London November 1, Southampton November 2, and Manchester on November 3. All will feature Yamaoka and a live band performing some of the series' most iconic scores.
IGN reviewed Silent Hill 2 in 2002, stating that "with Silent Hill 2, Konami has delivered a deep, if confusing and somewhat tiresome adventure that's scary in a disturbing, eerie fashion.
