Shenmue 3 Kickstarter Reopens via PayPal

The Shenmue 3 Kickstarter is kind of back.

According to an update, developer Ys Net wants to give fans one more chance to back the game, this time via PayPal.

there are so many people told us they could not pledge on Kickstarter, or could not make the deadline,” reads the post, “and have asked for a PayPal page for another opportunity to contribute to Shenmue III.”

Described as the “Slacker Backer period,” the deadline for donations ends on December 31. Apparently, the three-month window was created to give new backers enough time to do so, but “short enough to keep the release date on track.”

First Look at Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and More

Here are the first photos from the Netflix original series Marvel’s Jessica Jones, which premieres its first season on Netflix on November 20th.

Based on the the comic series Alias by Brian Michael Bendis, the story follows Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), who, after a tragic ending to her short-lived superhero stint, is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases in New York City.

Ritter (Jessica Jones) is joined by David Tennant (who plays Kilgrave - AKA "Purple Man"), Mike Colter (as Luke Cage, debuting here before starring in his own Netflix series), Rachael Taylor (as Trish Walker - AKA Hellcat), Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, and Wil Traval.

New Trailer Shows Total War: Warhammer Dwarfs In Action

SEGA has released a new Total War: Warhammer trailer that gives the first in-game glimpse of the Dwarf race in a subterranean battle.

This Let’s Play of the 'Ambush at the Thundering Falls' Quest Battle showcases an early part of the Dwarfs campaign.

"In the vast tunnels of the Underway, a Dwarfen force lead by High King Thorgrim Grudgebearer is ambushed by a Greenskin horde," states SEGA. "Showcasing new features and never-before-seen units battling underground for the first time in a Total War game, this video is a taste of things to come and a glimpse into the dark and exciting fantasy world of Total War: Warhammer".

We recently had a hands-on tour with Total War: Warhammer's Dwarven faction, the hard-hitting, slow, well-armored faction with the some of the best ranged and artillery weapons.

Persona 5 Has Been Delayed

Persona 5 has been delayed until “Summer 2016."

That’s the news coming out of this year’s Tokyo Game Show, where a trailer - which we've embedded below - revealed the new date.

Curiously, Persona 5 was missing from this year’s E3. Before that, the publisher’s official website indicated a 2015 release window.

We’ve reached out to Persona 5 publisher Atlus for comment and will update the story should we hear back.

The First Trailer for Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter has Arrived

Square Enix has released the first trailer for the recently-announced Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 - Final Chapter Prologue, set for release next year.

The trailer, which you can see below, highlights some of the scenes you'll experience from the HD remaster of Dream Drop Distance, along with scenes from Unchained X called Back Cover, set to tell the tale of the Foretellers and revealing new parts of the series' history. The final part of the collection is Birth by Sleep 0.2 - A Fragmentary Passage -, which is a completely new part of the story taking place after the events of the original Birth by Sleep, told from the perspective of Aqua.

Metal Gear Online Launch Date Confirmed

Metal Gear Online will launch on October 6, 2015.

The multiplayer game will be available to download for free to anyone who owns Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

We think that Metal Gear Online "is the only competitive multiplayer game

New Ghost in the Shell Announced, Beta Incoming

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Online has been announced, and beta registration is now open.

The first phase of the closed beta begins on October 1, 2015, and is due to run until October 4. The second phase, we’re told, will arrive “shortly after,” the first. Anyone who partakes in the beta will receive an exclusive weapon skin known as “First Assault.”

You can sign up for the beta over on the official website.

Developed by Nexon, First Assault is a multiplayer first-person shooter. Each character comes with their own attribute system which mirrors the works of Shirow Masamune’s much-loved manga. So expect cloaking, enhanced vision, and other post-cyberpunk abilities.

Penarium Release Date Revealed

Team17 and Self Made Miracle have announced that Penarium will be coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC on September 22.

Penarium is a fast paced 2D arena arcade game where you guide protagonist Willy through a wicked circus show designed to kill its participants. It comes from Dutch developer Self Made Miracle in a partnership with indie developer and label Team17, most known for its Worms franchise.

It features 30 single player challenges, a single player arcade mode, as well as local co-op versus and co-operative multiplayer modes.

Penarium will cost £7 / $10 / €9, and there will also be a free trial version available for download. IGN played a bit of an early version last year, which you can check out right here.
