Street Fighter 5: Hands On With Karin and Rashid
Capcom continues to diversify the Street Fighter V roster with the recent additions of Rashid and Karin. It’s encouraging to see new and returning fighters that provide an entry point for new players and Street Fighter veterans. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed both characters -- both of whom are devastating brawlers.
Both Karin and Rashid have great mix-up options from the get-go, but I’m most curious to see what kind of advanced techniques players find once Street Fighter V is out in the wild.
Star Wars Battlefront’s Hero System Detailed
Star Wars Battlefront senior producer Jamie Keen has gone into more detail on the game’s Hero System (where players can assume control of iconic, powerful characters from the Star Wars film saga) in a new post on EA’s website.
Keen touched on several of Luke Skywalker’s powers (including his Force-augmented jump ability, plus Force Push and Saber Rush – which have been previously discussed during IGN’s hands-on with the Jedi at E3 in June). He also explained that as a Hero (or Villain) your health will constantly decrease, but players will be able to boost their time with the character by killing enemies.
Dragon Quest Builders Is a Cuter Minecraft
Before I put down the controller to leave my Dragon Quest Builders demo, I made my character look to the ground and furiously dig down. About four blocks deep, I hit rock that wouldn’t take damage from my basic weapon. The Square Enix representative asked, “Do you play Minecraft?”
Dragon Quest Builders understands the genre it’s leaping into; you hit dirt with a weapon and receive a cute block in return, eliminate enemies for resources to craft items, and eat food to keep your character going. Dragon Quest Builders doesn’t entirely feel like a Minecraft clone with a cute Dragon Quest skin due to a few elements, such as the hints at a greater plot in the trailer and NPCs ability to populate the town you create. However, until more details about the game’s objectives are announced, it still feels like this adventure has already been crafted.
Koei Tecmo’s Attack on Titan Game Follows Anime
In an interview with IGN, Koei Tecmo's Attack on Titan producer Hisashi Koinuma said the Attack on Titan game's story will come from the first season of the Attack on Titan anime.
Koinuma also confirmed that Koei Tecmo's Attack on Titan will not have any elements from the Attack on Titan live action films or new material from the manga.
This is the second Attack on Titan game to tackle the anime's story. The first, Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains, had severe issues handling the source material.
The Attack on Titan game is set for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita in 2016. For more news and features from Tokyo Game Show, be sure to head over to the TGS 2015 hub.
Bloodborne: The Old Hunters Is Gross and Vicious
Developer From Software does enemy encounters really well, and Bloodborne’s first expansion, The Old Hunters, is a strong reminder of what makes this such an incredible action game. It also highlights the horror of this nauseating and bleak world once more.
I brought the new bow weapon into battle against an enemy wielding what initially appeared to be a standard scimitar, but when he transformed it into a serrated whip, he was as lethal from afar as I was. Bad guys bringing big, scary weapons like this to the battlefield makes them terrifying because they’re similarly capable to you. That whip-sword is the same new weapon you can find for yourself in The Old Hunters.
Star Fox Zero Slips into 2016
Nintendo announced Star Fox Zero is delayed until the first quarter of 2016.
The message was delivered on Nintendo's Facebook page by famed game designer Shigeru Miyamoto. "We have been developing Star Fox Zero for Wii U with the aim of releasing it this year," he wrote. "Although we felt that the development had been progressing well, we now believe that we will need a little more time to work on areas such as the unprecedented discovery that we want players to experience in the game by using two screens, and further polishing the level designs and perfecting the tone of the cut scenes."
Miyamoto said the decision to delay the game was made last week. While he admits that the it would be technically possible to release the new Star Fox game in time for the holiday season, Nintendo wants to focus on polishing the game a bit more.

EA Forced to Remove 13 Women From FIFA 16 Due to NCAA Rules
EA has been compelled to remove 13 women from FIFA 16 due to NCAA concerns that these players would be putting their eligibility for college sports at risk by being included in FIFA 16.
EA has confirmed via a statement on its website that North America’s National Collegiate Athletic Association had contacted the publisher regarding the issue.
“Of the hundreds of players on these rosters, 13 are currently attending or likely to attend NCAA-sanctioned schools in the US,” said the statement. “The NCAA recently informed EA Sports that these 13 student-athletes would be risking their eligibility for collegiate athletics by being included in FIFA 16.”
Megan Fox Joins New Girl in Recurring Role
Megan Fox is headed to FOX's New Girl - to rent out Jess' room!
Fox has joined the show's fifth season for a multi-episode arc, appearing first in the sixth episode as Reagan - a gorgeous, straight-shooting pharmaceutical sales rep who comes to town on business and shakes things up. Reagan will take over Jess' room while she is sequestered on jury duty.
Another reason for this temporary shift in brunettes? Fox is covering for star Zooey Deschanel while she is out on maternity leave.
Top 10 Arrow Episodes
Beginning in 2012, Arrow drew viewers into the saga of tortured vigilante hero Oliver Queen and raised the bar for what fans could expect of superhero drama on TV.
