Latest Mortal Kombat X Patch Rolls Out
The latest patch for Mortal Kombat is now live on PS4, and is "coming soon" to Xbox One and PC.
It features a number of character specific fixes, the full list of which can be found on the WB Games website.
Reptile and Tanya have received the most fixes. Reptile can no longer 2in1 special cancel into Floating Ball, a short cooldown has been added after his Invisibility (Deceptive), and the input priority of Floating Ball has been lowered. All of Tanya's fixes relate to Pyromancer. A bug relating to Dark Shroud and Devil's Dust has been fixed, and the damage of those has been reverted back to 10. Dark Shroud and Devils' Dust also now use the correct lifetime value from hotfix data.
What Modes Will Be Playable in Hyrule Warriors Legends?
Legend Mode and Adventure Mode will be making an appearance in Hyrule Warriors Legends.
The news comes out of this year’s Tokyo Game Show where Producer Yosuke Hayashi discussed which modes will be making the jump from the Wii U version to 3DS.
For those who haven’t played the Wii U version here’s a quick catch up. Legend Mode is Hyrule Warriors main story aspect, whereby players pick a character from a predetermined selection, then must complete certain challenges inside of a large open-area, all the while under attack from hordes of enemies.
Alternatively, Adventure Mode is a throwback to the Zelda games of yesteryear. Players navigate a map-like grid where each block represents a mission. This could be stuff like Kill X Amount of Enemies in XX Time or Defeat a Boss in XX Seconds.

Old-school Cartridges Are Making a Comeback via Smartphones
Ever wanted to use GBA-style cartridges on your mobile devices? If so, this may be of interest to you.
At this year’s Tokyo Game Show, Japanese startup company Beatrobo showed off Pico Cassette, a small cartridge which plugs directly into a mobile device’s headphone jack to unlock games.
As detailed by The Verge, the carts don’t actually contain games in the same way old-school cartridges did. Instead, they emit an inaudible sound that unlocks its respective app for play on your device, bringing a new meaning to the term “Plug and play.”
Currently, the Pico Cassette is but a proof of concept. However, Beatrobo is actively looking to land a content partnership to bring more developers on-board. Should that be successful, the startup plans to launch a crowdfunding campaign with the hopes of bringing the Pico Cassette to market.
