The Witcher 3 New Game Plus Mode Rolling Out Now
The recently-announced New Game Plus mode for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is rolling out now.
Currently only available on the Xbox One version of the game where the patch weighs in at 9.51MB, we should be seeing it on other platforms very shortly.
New Game Plus mode, which is the game's final piece of free DLC, comes with some caveats. First up, if you are level 30 or higher when beginning, your level will remain the same, according to the studio's community lead and website coordinator, Marcin Momot. Those below that mark will be bumped up to level 30 upon starting New Game Plus. You'll also receive a Clearing Potion at the start of the game, allowing you to reset your previously selected skills.
London Symphony Orchestra Performs Iconic Final Fantasy 7 Tune
Earlier this year, we were lucky enough to catch up with legendary Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu when he ventured to London's Abbey Road Studios to record a new album of some of the franchise's most iconic songs.
While there, we got to talk to him about the favourite compositions he's come up with in the past 20 years, while the legendary London Symphony Orchestra got to work. Now we have an exclusive video from that day, showing the recording of Words Drowned by Fireworks from Final Fantasy VII.
Fallout 4’s Story Will Stay Under Wraps Until Launch
During a recent hands off demo for Fallout 4, I was treated to a show reel of sorts that was almost exclusively focused on combat (for reference, it was the same demo that was witnessed at QuakeCon 2015, which you can read a liveblog of here). Although there were a few minutes during the demo’s opening that briefly skimmed across the majorly expanded SPECIAL system, it was otherwise about 20 minutes of the Lexington, Massachusetts wasteland being spray painted several shades of crimson by the exploded body parts of various ghouls and raiders.
It was certainly a spectacular sight to behold, but also a fairly shallow one since there was little revealed in terms of plot, characters or quests, and deliberately so according to Bethesda’s VP of PR and Marketing, Pete Hines.
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Reboot is “Female-Centric”
Despite the title, the upcoming League of Extraordinary Gentlemen TV series reboot is going to revolve around at least one female character.
This announcement comes from producer John Davis (The Blacklist), who spoke with Collider about the in-development series.
Doomed for Greatness: 20 Years of QuakeCon
The gaming landscape has changed a lot in the last 20 years. From 8-bit 2D textures to Ultra HD resolutions and everything in between, it’s impossible to ignore just how much our beloved gaming medium has evolved since its inception. More than 20 years ago, a young Tim Willits was an avid gamer and, like many people of that time, was completely blown away by Doom.
But while hardcore gamers spent hours mastering the daddy of the first-person shooter genre on Nightmare difficulty, Willits spent hours putting the id Software-released mod tools to good use. He invested his time making maps for Doom. On the strength of his creations, he landed a job at id Software.

Ronda Rousey Uses Fan Art to Lobby for Captain Marvel Role
Ronda Rousey really wants to be Captain Marvel.
The undefeated UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion said she'd like to play "Miss Marvel" in her recent Reddit AMA, but she's now taken it a step further on Instagram.
In a move reminiscent of Tyrese Gibson's bid to be a Green Lantern, Rousey posted some fan-art renditions of her as Captain Marvel with the following text.
"Since the reddit AMA I've received so many badass Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel edits! There were so many cool ones I couldn't pick just one to share - here's 1 series of 2 Big thank you to contributing artists: @bosslogix (two on right) and @salman.artworks (left)."
Forza 6 Multiplayer to Help Players Find Their ‘Perfect Race’
“What makes the multiplayer group distinct is that they’re not necessarily looking to win,” says Turn 10 creative director Dan Greenawalt, explaining some of the differences between how Forza Motorsport players approach the different modes in the Forza games. “What they want is that perfect race, against people that are like them, that are the same skill level and are as rough or as clean as they are, that speak their same language. People they can socialise with. Leagues help us accomplish exactly what they’re looking for.”
Leagues are a brand new competitive multiplayer feature for Forza Motorsport 6; a new system based on scheduled multiplayer races and honed to pit players against opponents of similar skills and compatible attitudes.
Disney Infinity: Twilight of the Republic Trailer Revealed
During today's D23 game-centric panel, Disney debuted a new trailer for Twilight of the Republic, the upcoming Star Wars-themed Playset coming to Disney Infinity: 3.0 Edition.
The gameplay trailer featured several action shots of the Clone Wars era. We saw General Grevious wielding four light sabers, the ruthless bounty hunter Cad Bane blasting away with his guns, and Darth Maul equipped with his iconic double-bladed light saber.
Throughout the video, Maul delivered a number of menacing lines, which appeared to be voiced by Sam Witwer, the actor who played him in the Clone Wars cartoon.
The trailer concluded with a shot of Darth Maul charging at Obi-Wan, Anakin, Ahsoka, and Yoda as they all attempted to hold him off with a collaborative Force Push.
Andrew Garfield Weighs in on New Spider-Man Casting
Amazing Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield has shared his thoughts on Marvel's decision to cast Tom Holland as its new web-slinging superhero.
"It feels lovely, especially because Tom Holland is a really, really great actor," Garfield told Entertainment Tonight at the Annual Grants Banquet. "He was in this movie The Impossible and he was just this incredibly powerful, sensitive, just wonderful young actor. And
a dancer, so his body’s the right
."
Garfield also confessed that he's glad to be turning the mantle over to someone else so that he can once again enjoy the character as a fan: "I’m just really excited to just be a fan again as opposed to bearing the weight of it."
