Bruce Campbell Announces Kickstarter
As a result of the fan response to the first season of the pop-culture game show Last Fan Standing, the one and only Bruce Campbell has announced that a second season of the series is being offered through a unique Kickstarter campaign, launching today.
Watch Campbell’s video announcement right here:
The first season of the show, hosted by Campbell, was shot live-to-tape from the convention floor of Wizard World Comic Con. The series gave con-goers the chance to prove themselves as “the ultimate Fanboy or Fangirl,” and to do so in front of a global internet audience on CONtv.
The Kickstarter campaign for Season 2 has loads of “Bruce-centric” perks, including signed Comics, Lunchboxes, Personalized Voicemails, and even a bowling party with Bruce. Can you imagine winning that?!

Jumbo Lex Luthor, Catwoman Figures Coming
A pair of jumbo-sized retro figures honoring DC comics characters is coming from Gentle Giant.
The collectible manufacturer announced figures based on classic Lex Luthor and Catwoman figures today. The Lex Luthor is based on the 1984 Kenner "DC Super Powers Collection," scaled up to 12" tall. The Catwoman figure is based on the 1992 Animated Series, similarly scaled up to 11" tall.
Gentle Giant has made a name for itself making oversized versions of classic action figures, like ones based on Marvel's Secret Wars or this life-sized Boba Fett.
Destiny’s Gjallarhorn Will Not Be Upgradable to Year 2 Damage Level
Destiny's most coveted and powerful weapon the Gjallarhorn will not be making a return with the launch of The Taken King also referred to as Year two.
The news came in the Bungie weekly update where the developer clarified some unanswered questions from the community. Many noticed that the weapon was not shown during yesterdays Year two reveal stream and questioned whether or not it would make an appearance. Players will still be able to use the weapon, but it will have a new base attack value of 160.
Year two weapons will have a base attack value of 280, and have a chance to be Infused. Infusion is a new system that allows players to consume a more powerful weapon to boost the attack value of a favorite piece of gear. When speaking about the change Bungie said "In addition to a bunch of brand new Exotics for you to discover in Year Two, we’re redesigning and redeploying some select Exotics from Year One" but they noted that "Gjallarhorn will remain a Year One Exotic at Year One levels."
John Cena’s 10 Best Matches
John Cena heads into SummerSlam this Sunday poised to win his 16th world championship. A feat that will tie the legendary record of Ric Flair - who, in case you were wondering, has gone on record saying that he’d be thrilled to have Cena match his long-standing number.
This past RAW, however, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins called Cena the “villain” of the tale, accusing him of holding WWE hostage for a decade by hogging the main event spot. When the two clash at SummerSlam, it will be yet another test to see if the company’s willing to run with “The Future” or if it’ll once again be a “CENAWINSLOL” scenario.

Dropsy Is a Clown-Hugging Adventure Game. Yes, Really
Dropsy is an unfortunate-looking clown who likes everyone and wants everyone to like him. He goes through life solving problems and attempting to hug people, but things don’t always go as planned. It’s up to players to guide this sensitive, carefree-but-resolute clown’s dilemmas in a new point-and-click “hugventure” spawned from a choose-your-own-adventure forum post on a long-running comedy website called Something Awful.
Like the early point-and-click adventures that came before it, Dropsy’s goal is to explore the world, solve puzzles, and hopefully win people over with hugs. His biggest obstacle comes from peoples’ aversion to him, with some outright hating him for one reason or another. He shrugs through it all as he happily trudges on despite his own tragic origin, which would give him the right to be a nasty, spiteful clown if it were in him. See, Dropsy used to be a circus clown. A fire destroyed his family’s livelihood and took his mother, leaving him with very little beyond his ailing father, his clown-face-painted dog, and the nightmares of the events that haunt him each time he goes to sleep.
First Look: Star Trek Beyond’s New Aliens and Costumes
Revealing new images and video from the Vancouver set of Star Trek Beyond have found their way online.
ScreenCrush scored the footage seen below of exterior filming in Vancouver. It reveals Captain Kirk's away team outfit (somewhat reminiscent of the away team outfits worn in the original Star Trek pilot, "The Cage"). Chekov is garbed similarly, while Scotty wears a variation on his more traditional red shirt duds.
More importantly, the footage reveals the distinctive look of Sofia Boutella's unidentified alien character, a species we apparently have never seen in Trek before. (But she does bear a bit of a resemblance to DC Comics villainess Silver Banshee!) Is Boutella's character that rumored Starfleet ship's captain "set up as Kirk’s match"?
