Sony’s Pre-TGS Press Conference 2015 Dated

Sony is hosting its pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference on Tuesday, September 15 at 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. local time/ 5:00 p.m. AEST / 8:00 a.m. BST / 12:00 a.m. PST / 3:00 a.m. EST.

Last year’s conference saw Sony showcasing Tomorrow Children, Earth Defense Force 4.1, Resident Evil HD remaster, Dragon Quest Heroes, Persona 5 for PlayStation 4, Yakuza 0, Resident Evil Revelations 2 and more.

Games that may get coverage at the upcoming press event could include the remastered version of Gravity Rush for PS4, Gravity Rush 2, the rumoured Final Fantasy XII HD remaster, Project Setsuna from Square Enix’s new studio Tokyo RPG Factory.

Four Brand-New Posters From The Program

The Program - which hits UK screens on October 16 - tells the story of the meteoric rise and dramatic fall of one of the most celebrated cyclists in history, Lance Armstrong.

Inspired by the award-winning book Seven Deadly Sins by David Walsh and directed by Stephen Frears, the film stars Ben Foster, Chris O'Dowd, Guillaume Canet and Jesse Plemons, and we're debuting posters of all four below alongside new character bios.

Destiny’s Xur Will Reveal The Taken King Exotic Gear Tomorrow

The official Destiny Instagram account suggests that gear merchant Xûr will reveal new exotic gear he will sell with the upcoming The Taken King expansion.

"My will is not my own, Guardian. The Nine have commanded me to reveal Exotic treasures you may discover in your future. I will speak with you tomorrow. - Xûr, Agent of the Nine," the post reads.

The post could be interpreted that Xûr will make an unscheduled appearance in the Tower tomorrow show off the new items. However, it’s far more likely that Bungie will outline the gear on Instagram.

Optimists will see if The Agent of the Nine turns up before his usual weekend appearance when the weekly reset hits in a few hours at 2:00 a.m. PST. Otherwise, fans will get to check out the fresh gear on Destiny’s official Instagram account.

Two Creepy New American Horror Story: Hotel Promos

The next season of American Horror Story will continue to up the creepy quotient.

You can experience a taste of the creepiness yourself with these two super-short promos (they're both currently region locked to North America).

American Horror Story: Hotel, the fifth season of the series, will be filled with familiar faces from previous seasons with a few new entries.

Kathy Bates is set to return alongside Chloë Sevigny, while newer cast members include Max Greenfield (New Girl) and Lady Gaga.

5 Best Moments from WWE SummerSlam 2015

WWE managed to successfully pull off a four-hour SummerSlam Monday night, with little room for pauses, backstage segments, or breaks. The biggest non-wrestling stretches we got came at the top of the show, with Jon Stewart as host, and then right before the Undertaker/Lesnar match at the end when they aired the big pre-fight video package.

So how was it? Well, it was good. Not as good as WrestleMania 31, but it was solid. I think marks would have been a lot higher for this one had Taker/Lesnar not ended in such a screwy fashion and had been given a cleaner finish, but the match up until the final minutes was great. Where’s the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Review?

Today is an exciting day at IGN. Our review for Metal Gear Solid 5 is on the site, and we gave it a 10, denoting it as a masterpiece. At the same time, we’ve also published a Review-in-Progress for another great game, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, though we haven’t attached a score to it just yet. This has led some people to wonder: why would we wait to score one game with an online component and not another? That’s a good question! Let me answer it for you.

It’s no secret that online elements are quickly going from being a marketing bullet-point to a forgone conclusion. Just about every modern big-budget game ships with online functionality of some kind. The question we have to answer is how big of an impact do those online elements have on the experience? Just like any other game feature, the answer can vary wildly.

Fatal Frame Wii U Is an eShop Exclusive

Fatal Frame: Maiden of the Black Water for Wii U will only be available as a digital eShop purchase.

Nintendo has revealed that players will be able to play the prologue and the first chapter as a free download; those wanting to play beyond will have to purchase the full game for $50 USD via the eShop or the in-game menu.

Fatal Frame is out in North America on October 22, following a Japan release of September 27.

The Japanese survival horror series, which has a cult following in the west, sees the players destroying ghosts but taking photos of them with a special camera. The Wii U's gamepad will act as the camera.

Planet of the Apes 3 to Shoot This October

War of the Planet of the Apes -- the next installment in 20th Century Fox's simians vs. humans franchise -- is reportedly gearing up for shooting this fall.

Deadline reports that the Matt Reeves-directed sequel aims to begin filming in October in Vancouver. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes also shot there.

The site adds that young actor Gabriel Chavarria (East Los High, the upcoming Low Riders) "is making his deal now to be one of two human leads." Andy Serkis will reprise his performance-capture role as ape leader Caesar.

Gambit Reportedly Finds His Femme Fatale

The Gambit movie has reportedly found its female lead in French actress Lea Seydoux (SPECTRE, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Inglourious Basterds), who is said to be in "early negotiations" for the 20th Century Fox-Marvel movie.

According to Variety, "Seydoux is in talks to play Bella, the head of the Assassin’s Guild in the world of X-Men." The character's better known in the comics by the name of Bella Donna Boudreaux.

Seydoux's name first surfaced in connection with the role earlier this month.
