New Warhammer 40,000 Action-RPG Announced
Budapest-based developer NeocoreGames has announced Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr; an action-RPG it’s building in collaboration with Warhammer 40,000 creator Games Workshop.
NeocoreGames describes Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr as a “persistent sandbox action-RPG” and explains that the single-player campaign will thrust players “into a grim and secret war among the stars as the agents of the ever-vigilant Inquisition.” NeocoreGames also promises that, after the campaign concludes, the story will continue “in a colossal sandbox game” that the developer claims will give players “years of constant entertainment, gradual development and a continuous flow of content that enriches the action-RPG gameplay.”
The First 6 Hours of Dragon Age Inquisition are Free on PC
PC players can now play the first six hours of Dragon Age Inquisition for free.
Furthermore, PC fans looking to test out the online mode will be able play with “unlimited free multiplayer.” This includes both multiplayer expansions packs, so if you fancy hunting a high dragon with mates, you can.
In other Dragon Age news, IGN recently caught up with BioWare’s David Gaider to discuss gaming’s first breakout gay character.
“There’s a tendency for every character’s ‘default’ to be straight, white, and male in our industry – and nobody questions that default”, said Gaider. “No character ever has to justify why they’re straight, white, and male. The moment you make them anything else, you suddenly need reasons why that’s okay…or do you?

Gearbox has Done Concept Development For New Duke Nukem
Gearbox CEO has revealed the studio has already done concept work for a new Duke Nukem game.
Speaking during his opening keynote at Develop: Brighton, Pitchford explained he didn't secure the Duke Nukem license merely to release the ill-fated Duke Nukem Forever.
"I did not acquire the franchise merely so we could all experience Duke Nukem Forever. That was the toll to pay to give Duke a chance. That said, I liked that game," he said. "I got to see it from a slightly different perspective and it was marvellous to me.
"We’ve done some concept development
and I think the challenges are there. Gearbox is very busy. I think the faster way is that a correct developer can become interested and we can work with them. I think it’s a challenging problem. But, I’ll tell you one thing. When it does happen, there’s no doubt that the whole industry will turn its head and look.
Whedon Says No Avengers: Age of Ultron Director’s Cut
Don't expect an extended director's cut of Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Speaking to fans at Nerd HQ (as reported by Collider) during Comic Con, Whedon said he was determined to never do a director's cut - despite the fact the original Ultron cut had an extra 30 minutes on it.
"It has always been my ambition never to do a director’s cut of anything", said Whedon, "and always to make the movie with the studio that we both want to make."
Production on Ultron was famously difficult, which Whedon continues to be frank about.

The Commodore branded Android smartphone runs a custom version of Android 5.0 Lollipop and lets you play both old Commodore 64 and Amiga games with its preinstalled VICE C64 and Uae4All2-SDL Amiga emulators. According to Wired, unspecified developers are working on bringing some of the games to the PET before its ships.
The Best of Comic-Con 2015
San Diego Comic-Con 2015 is over, and we're once more left with an overwhelming number of memories of all the comics, TV shows, movies and games info and new material we got within just a few days. But what stood out the most and left the biggest impression? Let's run down our favorites, starting with movies...
Warner Bros.' burgeoning DC Cinematic Universe needed to make a splash at SDCC in light of having no competition from Marvel Studios -- and they succeeded. The studio debuted a sweet, extended trailer (and then almost immediately made it available online) and also brought out stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, Holly Hunter, and Jeremy Irons and director Zack Snyder to tout the superhero epic.
The Last Starfighter TV Spinoff in Development
An ambitious spinoff of the 1984 sci fi flick The Last Starfighter is currently in the works.
As reported by Variety, original Starfighter writer Jonathan Betuel has teamed up with 'immersive entertainment company' Surreal to develop 'The Starfighter Chronicles', which will be the first TV show to include virtual reality elements.
The series will not continue the story of Alex Rogan, the teenager whose video game skills propelled him into a real life galactic war in the original movie. Instead, it will be a "serialized story about alien law enforcement."
The SEGA Rally Reboot That Nobody Bought
In the mid ‘90s, SEGA Rally Championship was one of the most iconic racing games around. It was an integral part of the booming arcade scene; a demonstration of just what could be done with the rapidly changing 3D-focused hardware. It was fast, smooth and handled like a dream.
Fast forward to 2007 and SEGA Rally’s star was waning somewhat. The 1999 Dreamcast port of SEGA Rally 2 was but a distant memory, and – for whatever reason – SEGA Rally 2006 on PS2 was only released in South Korea and Japan. What the series needed was an incredible reboot. A game that would be both a technical showcase and a thrilling, super smooth return to form for SEGA Rally.
That game, my friends, was SEGA Rally Revo (or just SEGA Rally, depending on where you live), and not only did it seemingly sink without a trace, it was also at least partially responsible for killing the studio that was set up to create it.
