Deadpool: 5 Things We Learned at Comic-Con
The Fox panel at Comic-Con this past Saturday was a very super affair, with the casts of X-Men: Apocalypse, Fantastic Four and even Gambit taking the stage. But it was perhaps the Deadpool portion of the presentation that pleased fans the most, with Ryan Reynolds and director Tim Miller proving that they've hit that sweet spot for the beloved Marvel character that falls somewhere between humor, bloody violence, and R-rated insults.
Between the fun panel, the footage that Miller and the cast presented, and the interviews that IGN conducted with the Deadpool team, there was lots to ponder about the upcoming movie. Here are some of our favorite things that we learned...
Aside from the awesomeness which is the name "Negasonic Teenage Warhead," the sidekick character played by Brianna Hildebrand is wearing an X-Men costume. We could glimpse part of the costume in the footage played at Comic-Con, but Fox has since released a photo of the full get-up. What's great about this is it's a full-blown yellow and black spandex number, the kind that Cyclops joked about way back in the very first X-Men movie. But between this and the colorful X-Men: Apocalypse costumes unveiled this week, the days of being embarrassed by super suits is long over in Hollywood, it would seem.

Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns is Getting a New Event Type
Guild Wars 2 expansion Heart of Thorns is getting a new type of event.
Adventures, as they’re known, will be quick, single-participant events that “challenge you to master a wide variety of skills in a race against the clock.” Furthermore, Adventures will come with their own leaderboards for those who wish to challenge friends or guildmates.
Speaking via the official Guild Wars site, designer Byron Miller explains where the team’s at. According to Miller, during the conceptual phase the team looked at some of Guild Wars’ static content – skill challenges, jump-puzzles, renown regions, and so on. The plan was to determine which of the content types were considered a success, and how they could be improved if need be.

New Details on Gearbox’s Unannounced Next-Gen Title
Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford has shed some new details on what to expect from the studio's unannounced, original next-gen game.
Speaking at PAX way back in 2013, Pitchford confirmed the existence of two new franchises in development for the new wave of consoles and PC. One of those we now know is Battleborn, which evolved from the ashes of Furious 4, but little was known about the other.
During an interview at Develop: Brighton this week, however, Pitchford teased the new game may not be something we'd expect to see from Gearbox.

Will Sharknado Go to Space Next?
The Sharknado films have a reputation for being over-the-top, and it's possible they'll only get crazier as time goes on.
Speaking with IGN during Comic-Con 2015, Sharknado 3 director Anthony C. Ferrante discussed the future of the campy SyFy cult hits. According to Ferrante, Sharknado's future lies in paying homage to the films that came before.
"The thing is, what do we do by putting the Sharknado universe in another genre?" he asked. "Not parody, but almost homage. Like, in
, we do White House Down with sharks.
"So, sharks are
terrorists. They don't have guns, but it's that kind of thing. So, you have Finn, and a gun-toting Marc Cuban as our president taking down sharks that are taking over the White House. So, as long as we can kind of do different things like that, it makes it exciting."
