Apocalypse to Feature ‘Bigger and Better’ Quicksilver Scene
Quicksilver actor Evan Peters has shared a few new details on his upcoming role in X-Men: Apocalypse, teasing an even "bigger and better" appearance for the character this time around.
"Well, yeah, it’s always difficult to try to top something like that," Peters told MTV News when asked about his memorable scene from X-Men: Days of Future Past. "The special effects guys, man, they absolutely nailed that and did a fantastic job on it."
With regard to his upcoming expanded role in Apocalypse, Peters teased, "This year we’re working on something that’s bigger and better, keeping the same elements that worked, then adding a few new ones. I’m really excited to see it all cut together, and I’m excited for people to see it, too."
Pac-Man Champs Compete to Beat Impossible Level
It's supposed to be impossible to beat the 256th level of Pac-Man, but now, 35 years after the classic game's arcade debut, four of the world's best players have accepted that challenge.
The Twin Galaxies Pac-Man Kill Screen Challenge will be broadcast live on TGLive.com at 5 pm PT / 8 pm ET this Saturday, July 25th.
Pac-Man's notorious 256th level is a kill screen, a game-breaking programming error that, in this game in particular, causes the right side of the screen to become jumbled with numbers and letters. This error obscures half of the Pac-Man maze and makes completing the level extremely hard, if not impossible.
Sword in the Stone Gets Game of Thrones Writer
Disney is reportedly at work on yet another classic reimagining, this one based on 1963's The Sword and the Stone.
Variety reports that Game of Thrones writer Bryan Cogman is attached to write the script. Obviously the live-action version of a classic animated film won't be as dark and violent as the HBO series.
The Sword in the Stone was Disney's loose adaptation of T.H. White's novel, telling the story of a young orphan named Arthur who became the famous legendary figure King Arthur after pulling a sword from an anvil.
Disney has already made live-action adaptations of Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent, and Cinderella, based on its own animated library. It's also currently developing adaptations of Beauty and the Beast, The Jungle Book, Mulan, Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh, Tinker Bell, Fantasia, and Aladdin.

Check out this brand new pic of star Grant Gustin in his new Season 2 Flash costume - complete with new altered white chest symbol. A look we caught a glimpse of during his future/past fight with Reverse Flash back in Season 1.
In fact, the white chest symbol from Episode 17 happens to be executive producer Andrew Kreisberg's favorite Easter Egg from Season 1.
Xena: Warrior Princess May Return to Television
Update: The Warrior Princess herself, Lucy Lawless, has taken to Twitter to let fans know that this rumored Xena reboot is just that -- a rumor that has yet to be confirmed.
Sorry, friends! news of a #Xena reboot is just a rumor. I'd love it to happen one day but it's still in the wishful thinking stage.

Seeing how Lawless is married to the man rumored to be producing the reboot, Rob Tapert, she definitely has some insight on the reported project.
How M:I 2 Almost Cost McKellen X-Men and LOTR
A mixture of script secrecy and bad timing almost cost Ian McKellen two of his most well-known roles.
McKellen told People that he was offered a role in Mission: Impossible II, but the studio refused to let him see the whole script for fear of leaks. Against the advice of his agent, he turned the role down, despite the opportunity to work with Tom Cruise. The very next day he was contacted by both Bryan Singer for X-Men, and by Peter Jackson for The Lord of the Rings.
Even then, X-Men almost got in the way of the fantasy trilogy. "It had to delay, delay delay," said the actor. "So I had to call up Peter Jackson and say, 'I'm sorry. I can't play Gandalf because X-Men, which I agreed to do first, is overrunning.'"
Stephen Hawking Endorses New Project to Find Alien Life
Russian investor Yuri Milner believes there's life elsewhere in the galaxy, and he's willing to put his own money on the line to find it.
$100 million of his own money, to be exact. Milner is investing heavily in Breakthrough Listen, a 10-year project that will use telescopes exclusively for the purpose of monitoring and tracking any messages in space that might point to alien life. Professor Stephen Hawking has personally endorsed the project, and did so publicly via a recent conference call with Milner.
Selma Director Talks Passing on Black Panther
Selma director Ava DuVernay has elaborated on why she ultimately decided to pass on directing Black Panther, highlighting the sheer commitment involved as a major factor.
"For me, it was a process of trying to figure out, are these people I want to go to bed with?" she said during the closing keynote at the 2015 BlogHer conference (via THR). "Because it’s really a marriage, and for this it would be three years. It’d be three years of not doing other things that are important to me. So it was a question of, is this important enough for me to do?
"At one point, the answer was yes because I thought there was value in putting that kind of imagery into the culture in a worldwide, huge way, in a certain way: excitement, action, fun, all those things, and yet still be focused on a black man as a hero — that would be pretty revolutionary," she added.
