Da Vinci’s Demons Ending With Season 3
While fans of Da Vinci's Demons knew that Season 3 was coming at some point, Starz had kept quiet about a premiere date. When the series didn't air in the spring like the previous two seasons had, there was worry. Then it was left off the summer schedule as well.
Now comes the official word that Da Vinci's Demons will return on October 24th. Unfortunately, per EW.com, the third season will also mark the show's final season.
Series creator and executive producer David S. Goyer told EW, “While ending Leonardo’s journey is bittersweet for me, I’m happy we’re ending the story on a high note. Leonardo was famous for his mirror-writing, and there’s a symmetry to the entire series—between the first episode and the final one—that I think the maestro would have appreciated."
Why Game of Thrones’ Creator Was in Sharknado 3
If you were wondering why the bearded man in Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!'s movie theatre scene looked kind of like George R. R. Martin, well, that's because it was. And as is befitting for the Game of Thrones writer, he meets a gruesome death indeed. But just how did this amusing cameo come about?
In the cameo, Martin is watching a three-headed shark in the film Shark Wedding - until a live shark bursts through the screen and starts chowing on him. It's no coincidence that Martin's blood splatters across the woman next to him - who happens to be wearing a wedding dress. Nor is it a coincidence that a second shark shoots out of the screen, ripping off Martin's head in the process.
Pokken Tournament May Come to Stateside
Pokken Tournament, the arcade-based Pokemon fighter from Bandai Namco, may be coming to Dave & Buster's locations in the United States.
The popular arcade and restaurant chain will be testing Pokken Tournament, Dave & Buster's Senior Vice President of Entertainment & Game Strategy Kevin Bachus confirmed in a Reddit AMA.
"Yes. We will be testing Pokken," Bachus said when asked about the game, which is currently exclusive to arcades in Japan. "Candidly both Namco and I are more optimistic about that title and our typical guests than Tekken."
MGSV: Phantom Pain Included With Select GeForce GTX Bundles
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be bundled with select NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics cards and notebooks.
For a "limited time," purchases of a GeForce GTX 980 Ti, 980, 970, or 960 GPU, or a 980/970M notebook, will qualify for a free PC copy of MGSV: The Phantom Pain.
A list of retailers carrying the bundle can be found on the GeForce website. If you're buying an eligible GeForce card or notebook, ensure that your seller is participating in the "Game Like a Boss" MGSV: The Phantom Pain bundle program, as NVIDIA will not be providing download codes for purchases made a non-participating retailers.
23 Mods That Revitalize Fallout 3
Fallout 3 is a great game - there's no denying that. From it's massive and detailed world to its extensive cast of characters, it's never a bad idea to revisit the Wasteland. That said, the game was released back in 2008, so it understandably looks and feels a bit dated. Thankfully, the modding community has come to our rescue once again, and while it may not be as beautiful as Skyrim, there are tons of visual updates and gameplay tweaks that make replaying Fallout 3 as satisfying as any of its current-generation counterparts. Here's a brief overview of how to get your own modded version of FO3 up and running for the next time you want to dive into Bethesda's take on post-apocalyptic DC.
Rise of the Tomb Raider Coming to PS4 and PC in 2016
Square Enix has announced Rise of the Tomb Raider will be available on PS4 and PC in 2016.
The company has confirmed the PC version of the game will arrive in "early 2016", while console exclusivity will last for a year. This means Rise of the Tomb Raider won't land on PS4 until "Holiday 2016", as the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions are due for release on November 10, 2015.
The game, which up until now was officially being described as an Xbox exclusive, is being developed by Crystal Dynamics and serves as a sequel to the recent Tomb Raider reboot.
Following the announcement that Microsoft would be publishing Rise of the Tomb Raider, developer Crystal Dynamics' head of western studios recently talked about the partnership, and what it means for the future of the ubiquitous franchise.
ESL to Begin Drug Testing its Players
The Electronic Sports League has announced that it will soon begin drug testing its competitors.
The first randomized performance enhancing drugs skin tests will be held at the ESL One Cologne event in August, and more tests are planned to be performed at every event in the IEM, ESL One, and ESL ESEA Pro League competitions.
Last week, professional Counter Strike: Global Offensive player Cory "Semphis" Friesen admitted that he and other members of the Cloud9 team had used Adderall during an ESL tournament.
Adderall is a drug usually used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. In this case, it was allegedly used to increase focus and reaction time during the $250,000 tournament. According to Motherboard, Semphis will not be punished, as the league "can't punish someone if we are not 100 percent sure he is guilty."
