Supergirl Begins Production: See Video from the Set
While the Supergirl pilot was filmed several months ago, before the show was officially greenlit as on an ongoing series, production began this past Thursday on the show itself and the second episode. A new video has been posted from the set of the first day of production, showing the crew filming a scene in which Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) has her powers tested by Hank Henshaw (David Harewood) and Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh), as the cast celebrate the series truly getting started.
Also posted this week was a hard not to "Aww" at video presenting highlights from a recent Supergirl screening held on the Warner Bros. lot for mothers and daughters, at which Benoist made a surprise appearance.

Principal photography on Marvel's Doctor Strange commences in November, but Oscar winner Tilda Swinton reportedly still hasn't decided which gender she'll play her character as yet.
Swinton has been cast as Strange's mentor, the Ancient One, a character traditionally depicted in the Marvel Comics as an elderly, Asian male.
The Guardian has published a new interview with Swinton in which they claim "she will soon start shooting a Marvel blockbuster, Doctor Strange, but there is a Swinton-esque twist – she doesn’t yet know if she will play the part as a man or a woman."
Hulk Hogan Will Not Appear in WWE 2K16
2K has elected to not include former WWE superstar Hulk Hogan in the upcoming WWE 2K16.
This comes after a firestorm of controversy involving racial remarks made by the pro wrestler that led to his being fired from the WWE.
2K provided IGN with the following statement:
“We are highly respectful of the way that our partners choose to run their business and manage our partnerships accordingly. We can confirm that Hulk Hogan will not appear in WWE 2K16.”
After Hogan’s termination from the WWE, the organization removed his profile from its websites and Hogan’s merchandise from the company’s online store.

Japanese Train Redesigned to Look Like Evangelion Mech
Japan is taking one of its Shinkansen bullet trains and giving it a redesign to resemble a mech from the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Japanese train operator JR West is heading the project, with Evangelion director Hideaki Anno serving as a supervisor, in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the popular anime as well as the 40th anniversary of the Sanyo Shinkansen train line.
The "500 Type EVA," as it's now called, will get a purple paint job to match the Evangelion Unit-01 seen in the show, in addition to a new matching interior that will be stocked with memorabilia for riders to buy. Additional events are in the planning stages, but they have yet to be revealed.

Bethesda Won’t Make Another Mobile Game Unless It’s a ‘Good Fit’
Though Fallout Shelter was a success for Bethesda (earning over $5 million in two weeks), don't expect the game publisher to crank out more mobile games any time soon.
In an interview with IGN, Bethesda's VP of PR and Marketing, Pete Hines, said:
"We'd been thinking about
for a while. It was a case of 'We won't do it unless it's a good fit.'"
He continued, "This isn't the start of a formula where every time we make a game we need to do a mobile game... That's not why Fallout Shelter was great... People appreciate the game because it doesn't have our hand in your pocket. It did monetization in a way that people didn't have a problem with.
