The Most Pointless Sequels Ever

With Terminator Genisys hitting screens this week, the new Ghostbusters commencing principal photography, and The Last of Us 2 potentially a thing, Alex, Chris and Daniel discuss pointless sequels and select their best and worse.

The Top 6 Things We Want in the iPhone 6s

The first (alleged) photos of the iPhone 6s hit the web this week—and while the information’s still trickling out, we already know what we’d like to see announced in September.

Most of these items won’t be a surprise to iPhone fans, nor will their scope. If Apple’s pattern holds, we’re in for a year of iterative updates; next year will be when another round of big changes arrives. But even with that in mind, we can’t help but hope for a couple of things that we likely won’t see just yet—or ever again.

Watch Charizard and Weavile Duke It Out in Pokken Tournament

Charizard and Weavile have been revealed as playable characters in the upcoming Pokémon fighting arcade game, Pokkén Tournament. Also, the game now has an official release date in Japan: July 16, 2015.

Charizard takes advantage of his fire-breathing and flying abilities in combat. His ultimate move, known as a "Burst Attack," transforms the Flame Pokémon into Mega Charizard X. Take a peek at Charizard's reveal trailer below:

Living up to its nickname as the Sharp Claw Pokémon, Weavile dashes and slashes its way through its foes. Being a dual dark/ice-type, Weavile is also capable of delivering chilling blows, which appear to be Ice Punch and Ice Shard. Here's the reveal trailer that shows Weavile in action:

First DLC For Arkham Knight Gets a Release Date

Warner Bros has announced that the first story driven add-on for Batman: Arkham Knight, Batgirl: A Matter of Family, will be available on July 14 for season pass holders.

Everyone else will have to wait an extra week until July 21, when it will be available for £6 (other territory prices TBC).

Batgirl: A Matter of Family takes place before the events of Arkham Asylum, and allows players to take on the role of Batgirl for the first time in the Arkham franchise.

It takes place in an all new location, with multiple missions, side quests and secrets. There is also a new hacking mechanic for you to solve puzzles with. Additionally, there is Dual Play functionality with Robin to perform dynamic take down moves.

Black Ops 3 CE Details To Be Revealed At Comic-Con

Treyarch will unveil the new Call of Duty Black Ops III: Zombie mode, and its "star-studded" voice cast, at Comic-Con on July 9.

The developer will also reveal details of the Call of Duty: Black Ops III Collector's Editions at the convention.

Zombies director and lead writer Jason Blundell will lead the panel to debut the "mind-bending tale of the undead", during which attendees will receive Zombies memorabilia only available at Comic-Con.

Comic-Con visitors will also be able to participate in the Black Ops III Zombies Escape Room Challenge, which requires attendees to work together, solve clues and escape the room before time runs out.

Could This Be The SNES PlayStation Prototype?

Pictures claiming to depict Sony and Nintendo's prototype SNES PlayStation have appeared online.

A Reddit user (via NintendoLife) posted images of the console system, a prototype developed in collaboration between Sony and Nintendo that would be able to play both CD-ROM and SNES carts. However, when Sony announced the system at CES 1991, Nintendo announced at the same event that it was working with Phillips.

Techland Launches Summer with Dying Light Campaign

Techland has announced that it will be running the Summer with Dying Light Campaign during weekends in July and August.

Throughout the six specific weekends players will be able to take part in unique events, starting with the Spider Crane weekend from July 4 - 5. This gives players unlimited grappling hook shots and almost no fall damage.

The Harran Marathon will be the following weekend from July 11 - 12. Four unannounced events are scheduled for July 15 - 16, August 15 - 16, August 22 - 23, and August 29 - 30.

Techland is also running a Drink for DLC Campaign, where players must post pictures of themselves drinking water in order to unlock future free DLC content.

James Bond Broadway Musical in the Works

Merry Saltzman, the daughter of Bond film producer Harry Saltzman, is bringing Bond to Broadway.

Through her Placeholder Productions company, Saltzman has secured the rights to a Bond stage show, the executive producer revealed to Playbill. The show will be called James Bond: The Musical and will feature music and lyrics from Jay Henry Weisz and a book by Dave Clarke.

James Bond: The Musical will have an original storyline, according to producers, featuring "several Bond villains, plus some new ones." Saltzman also teased the inclusion of "our own Bond girl."

This Plastic Surgery Superman is Facing His Final Battle

Herbert Chavez, the Superman fanatic who has undergone 23 surgeries to look like the Man of Steel, may have met his Doomsday.

During a recent episode of E!'s Botched, plastic surgeons Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif were shocked to discover that Chavez had been injecting his chest and abdomen with MesoLipo in an effort to gain Superman's glorious abs. The illegal filler, which has left Chavez's chest covered in lumps, was described as "poison" by the surgeons.
