On Mastering Bizarro’s Backwards-Speak

You may know him from writing animated movies like Batman: Assault on Arkham and Justice League: War, but Heath Corson just made his comic book writing debut last week with Bizarro #1 at DC Comics. It features a comedic, cartoonish take on Superman's evil opposite and puts him on a road trip with Superman's best friend, Jimmy Olsen, and then of course hijinks ensue. We talked to Corson about his plans for Bizarro, what antagonists will show up, and how the heck you write Bizarro's famous backwards speech.

Here’s a Closer Look at Wonder Woman’s Costume

The Licensing Expo is currently underway in Las Vegas. The trade show sees Hollywood tout their upcoming films and TV shows to consumer goods manufacturers, licensees and retailers. One of the upcoming films with a display at the Expo is Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The Warner Bros. display includes the Big Three's costumes, and the photos below (via ComingSoon) give us an even closer look at Wonder Woman's costume and weaponry:

Assassin’s Creed Underworld Novel Announced

A new Assassin's Creed novel and an official Assassin's Creed Syndicate art book will be released later this year, Ubisoft announced today.

Assassin's Creed Underworld, the eighth novel in the Assassin's Creed universe by Oliver Bowden, explores the series' ongoing battle between the Assassins and Templars in 1862 London. Underworld follows Henry "The Ghost" Green, an assassin and mentor to Assassin's Creed Syndicate's twin protagonists, Jacob and Evie Frye.

The novel will be released December 1 in the US and November 5 in the UK.

Additionally, The Art of Assassin's Creed Syndicate will be released shortly after the game on October 27. The art book features 192 pages of previously unreleased concept art with commentary from artists and developers. 500 copies of a "special slipcase edition" will also be released, including signed Assassin’s Creed Syndicate concept art prints.

Destiny Adds Elimination Playlist as Crucible Activity

A new Destiny update adds an Elimination playlist to the line-up of standard Crucible activities, meaning you can now play the 3v3 mode during the next week.

According to Bungie's news blog, the standard Crucible version of the playlist has a few differences outside the weekly Trials of Osiris events.

Skill-matching, teammate matchmaking, and map cycling have all been enabled, while power advantages have been disabled. Finally, rewards are standard, meaning more marks and legendary items.

A recent leak suggests Destiny's next expansion, The Taken King, is arriving in September. Next week is E3, so we could hear more very soon.

The Three Stooges Get Animated

Those beloved icons of slapstick comedy, the Three Stooges, will soon have an animated adaptation.

According to The Hollywod Reporter, Superjail co-creator Christy Karacas created the animatic for a pilot episode and will direct it. Larry, Moe, and Curly will make their animated debut in the intended form of 52 11-minute-long segments filled with slapstick humor and limited dialogue. The eventual goal of the series will be to have different creators direct in order to provide a large array of takes on the characters.

The studio Titmouse will be responsible for animating these segments.

Disney Shares Details About New Frozen Ride

Disney has shared new details about its plans to construct the previously-announced Frozen ride.

Frozen Ever After is the new ride adaptation of the 2013 film Frozen, which The Wall Street Journal reports will replace the Norse mythology ride Maelstrom at the Epcot Center.

Like Maelstrom, the four-minute ride is a guided canoe trip through a Frozen-themed scene. Taking place during Arendelle's Winter Festival, Frozen Ever After will feature Wandering Oaken's trading post, Anna, Olaf, Sven, Kristof, and -of course - Elsa in Frozen's pivotal "Let it Go" scene.

Fantastic Beasts: Rowling Hints at US Wizarding School

J.K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them will reportedly take the magical world of Harry Potter to America. At least, that what the series' creator is apparently teasing on social media.

In response to questions from fans on Twitter (via THR), Rowling all but confirmed the existence of a wizarding school based in America.
