All the Characters in Suicide Squad
Director David Ayer’s Suicide Squad is currently shooting in and around Toronto for an August 5, 2016, release. That much is obvious to even the casual observer of comic-book movie news, with a virtual flood of fan photos and videos hitting social media in recent weeks from the exterior locations of the film.
All the Mutants in X-Men: Apocalypse
But despite all those images, we don’t know a heck of a lot about the movie aside from the fact that it will be the third DC Cinematic Universe film (after Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) and that it will star an ensemble cast led by Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and Jared Leto as a group of criminals turned anti-heroes. Really, many of the characters featured on the Squad and in the film aren’t all that well known to even semi-serious comics fans.
GRRM Confirms He’s Working on 3 New TV Show Concepts
Game of Thrones may not be the last George R.R. Martin-created property you'll ever see on television.
In a recent blog post, Martin confirmed he's busy working on a number of different projects, including the new book in the Song of Ice and Fire series, The Winds of Winter, three "short low-budget films" he hopes to produce, and three new series concepts for HBO and Cinemax.
He offered no further details about what these concepts are about or based on, although it's likely one of them is the Captain Cosmos project he was recently reported to be working on.

DC Comics Head Hints More On-page Ads Coming
At the end of May, it was revealed that DC Comics would be putting Twix ads on story pages in all of their June comics, which earned the ire of the comics community and created the hashtag of a lifetime, #TwixGate. Ads have been part of comics since the beginning, and it's not uncommon for 10 full-page ads to be found in your standard Marvel or DC comic these days, but for many, putting the ads on the same page as the story crossed a line.
PS4 Came Back On Top of Sales for May
Sony's PlayStation 4 was the best selling console for the month of May, according to numbers from the NPD Group.
The PS4 regained the title of top-selling console after faltering to the Xbox One's stronger sales numbers for the month of April.

Overall sales "across hardware, new physical software, and accessories declined by 13 percent," according to the NPD report. However, game sales for current-gen consoles rose by 8 percent in May. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to the top-spot for sales in May, beating out Mortal Kombat X.
Scalebound, Crackdown Skipping E3 for Gamescom
Scalebound and Crackdown will both be skipping this year's E3. Microsoft announced today it's opting to showcase the two Xbox One exclusives at Gamescom in August.
While both Scalebound and Crackdown were revealed during Microsoft's E3 press conference last year, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer explained on Xbox Wire that Microsoft's "jam-packed lineup of games to show at E3" makes it impossible for the company to give every upcoming Xbox One game "its well-deserved time in the spotlight." Therefore, Crackdown and Scalebound will be joining Remedy's Quantum Break "front and center" at Gamescom in August, "along with new game reveals for both Xbox One and Windows 10."

First Photos From AMC Martial Arts Series
AMC has unveiled the first two photos for Into the Badlands, the new martial arts show starring Daniel Wu from The Man With the Iron Fists.
Wu plays the warrior Sunny in Into the Badlands and travels with a young boy portrayed by Aramis Knight (Ender's Game). The two are trying to find enlightenment, with the story loosely based off Journey to the West.
Currently filming in New Orleans, Into the Badlands is the brainchild of Smallville creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who are working as writers and showrunners on the AMC series. They're also executive producers with David Dobkin, Stacey Sher, Michael Shamberg, Stephen Fung and Wu.
Into the Badlands, which AMC ordered straight to series, will debut later this year. The first season consists of six hourlong episodes.
