Aquarium Octopus Trained to Photograph Visitors

An octopus at a New Zealand aquarium has been trained to take pictures of visitors.

Colossal reports that the octopus, named Rambo, was trained at the Sea Life Aquarium. The trainers mounted the camera inside her tank, and say Rambo figured it out within only three tries.

"That’s faster than a dog," said trainer Mark Vette. "Actually it’s faster than a human in some instances.”

It was organized as a promotional event from Sony, to market the durability of one of its water-resistant cameras. The aquarium charges $2 for a photo, which goes toward conservation efforts.

Steve Watts is a freelance writer who just knows that octopus is taking selfies when no one is looking. You can read more of his keen insights by following him on Twitter and IGN.

Sony's latest system software update for PlayStation Vita, which released late last month, frees up 30 percent of the system's memory.

During the Unite Tokyo 2015 event (via NeoGAF), the PlayStation manufacturer shared new details on Update 3.50, noting that it "allows for 30 percent more memory size usage with games."

What does this mean, exactly? Well, with more of the system's memory now freed up to run game software, one would reasonably assume owners of the handheld could very well see a boost in performance when playing games.

Dissidia Final Fantasy Arcade Won’t Boast Massive Roster on Day One

Square Enix has announced that Dissidia Final Fantasy Arcade won't boast a 50-character roster on day one. Instead, the studio plans to start off with a modest number of 14 playable fighters.

It was initially believed the game would launch with a whopping 50 characters from the Final Fantasy universe, but Square Enix has since clarified (via Gematsu) that such information was misreported, as it plans to climb to that number over time with post-launch support.

So far, a total of seven characters have been confirmed, including the Buster Sword-wielding Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII, Lighting from Final Fantasy XIII, and Final Fantasy VI's Terra Branford.

Here’s How You can Get The Elder Scrolls Online for $20

A $20 copy of The Elder Scrolls Online is on offer for those who are transferring from PC to Xbox One or PlayStation 4.

In order to obtain this significantly-discounted copy, however, several qualifications must be met. Those who purchased The Elder Scrolls Online and registered their copy by June 30, 2014 can now visit the PC/Mac store and buy the discounted console version under the tab "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for Console with account copy." It should be noted that this will only be available until May 9.

This discounted copy for either console will be exactly the same as other full-priced options, and the account used to play on PC will be copied and moved over to console, meaning players can continue to play on both PC and console. However, since the account will be a copy, the progress saved on either version will not carry over to the other.
