Mortal Kombat X: Modder Unlocks Rain, Sindel and Baraka
A modder has found a way to make unplayable characters from Mortal Kombat X's story mode playable, replete with their own move sets.
XVermillion posted a couple of videos to YouTube of Rain, Sindel and Baraka in training mode on PC, along with an explanation about how he did it on Reddit.
In essence, he took assets located in the game's source files and renamed them so they matched the names currently used by those associated with Shinnok. As a result, the game thinks you're playing with Shinnok, but in actuality you look like one of the other three characters and are able to execute all their moves without hassle.
Project CARS Goes Gold, Reveals 110 Different Courses
Project CARS has gone gold, meaning the game is finished and ready to be sent to manufacturers so discs can be produced.
This means further delays are pretty much impossible, and confirms yesterday's announcement about a May 7 release in Australia and Europe, with a May 8 release date in the UK.
"We know the wait for the game to be released was worth it, as we’re confident the quality and realism level we have achieved will provide our fans with the game they are all expecting," head of developer Slightly Mad Studios Ian Bell said. "Finally, we are also delighted to reveal the final track list. With more than 30 locations, Project CARS offers the largest track roster of any recent racing game."
US Government Once Again Discusses Console Jailbreaking
The US Government is once again considering the legality of jailbreaking consoles.
As reported by ArsTechnica, hacking proponents, along with industry members, are now fighting for proposed exceptions to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act as the Copyright Office reviews Section 1201 exemptions.
Jailbreaking, for those unfamiliar, allows the owner of a platform to modify – or ‘reverse engineer’ – a console, tablet, phone, or similar device, to run unsigned code. If acting within the law, this could be adding streaming functionality to the original Xbox, or running homebrew games on a PS One. The problem, the Law fears, is that by allowing users unrestricted access to unsigned code, people will modify a console so it can run – you guessed it – pirated software.

David 'The Hoff' Hasselhoff has adopted his power stance to release an aggressively '80s music video, and it is wonderful.
Titled 'True Survivor', the video was made to tie in with the Kickstarter-funded Kung Fury; an '80s-style action comedy movie centered on a super kung fu cop who goes back in time to kill Adolf Hitler. For more on the project, check out Kung Fury's Kickstarter page, which also features the film's hilarious trailer.

The Apple Watch Won’t Be Available In-Store Until June
It is likely that the Apple Watch will not be available for purchase in Apple Stores until June due to high global interest compared to initial supply.
A staff memo obtained by The Telegraph from Apple retail chief Angela Ahrendts says Apple is "only taking orders online right now" and this is expected to "continue through the month of May".
For those who have already pre-ordered, they should "start receiving deliveries from next Friday as planned".
If you're not sure whether to buy an Apple Watch, IGN has a guide to help you decide.
Introducing Mortal Kombat’s First Gay Character
Mortal Kombat’s first gay male character may be new playable Mortal Kombat X character Kung Jin, according to an interpretation of flashback scenes exploring the character’s past.
Kung Jin is a member of the Special Forces Unit and descendant of series regular Kung Lao. One particular flashback scene in Chapter 4 features Raiden urging Kung Jin to join the Shaolin Monks. “I can't... They won't accept,” Kung Jin says, with Raiden responding. “They care only of what is in your heart, not whom your heart desires.”
NetherRealm cinematic director Dominic Cianciolo confirmed the theories, tweeting “I see people are picking up on the subtle exposition contained in Kung Jin's flashback. Glad we have observant fans!”

Heartbreaking Images from Unfinished Clone Wars Episodes
The panel for Star Wars: The Clone Wars at Star Wars Celebration today gave the audience mixed emotions. On one hand, it was very cool to see a ton of art and early animation for many of the unfinished episodes that were in the works when the show got cancelled. On the other hand, it was a reminder of how much more Clone Wars we could have gotten, and regret over not being able to see these episodes in their completed form.
Joking that they hoped they didn't get in trouble for it, Dave Filoni and Pablo Hidalgo showed us a lot, including very early sketches and more formal character design sheets. Through these images, and with Filoni and Hidalgo explaining what we were seeing, we got an idea of what some of the aborted storylines for the show were.
