Clone Wars Would Have Wrapped Up Post Ep III
Beyond showing off a lot of art and early animation for episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars that were never completed, Dave Filoni and Pablo Hidalgo gave some intriguing hints at Star Wars Celebration about the planned ending they had for the animated series before it was cancelled.
As it turned out, the final episodes of the series would have “coincided with Revenge of the Sith and went past it.” Filoni said the plan was to have episodes that showed where Ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex (the Clone Wars characters fans had the biggest questions about regarding Episode III) were during pivotal events like the Battle of Coruscant and Order 66, before wrapping up with some episodes that took place in the wake of Episode III.
Funko Reveals New Deadpool & Avengers Toys
Funko has offered a glimpse of several upcoming Marvel collectibles due out this summer. If you're a fan of Deadpool, the Avengers, or plushies, you'll find something to like in this lineup.
Among the reveals are three new additions to the massively popular Funko Pop! line of figurines. Agent Melinda May from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is set for release in May, and Scarlet Witch will join the current Age of Ultron lineup in August. Hopefully her brother Quicksilver will follow. Meanwhile, Deadpool will ride in style thanks to the Chimichanga Truck set, due out this month. The set includes a new variant of the Deadpool figure holding a chimichanga.
Funko also revealed the first wave of a new series of plush figures called Mopeez! These figures measure about 4.5 inches tall and are designed to look slouched and frustrated, hence the name. This first series is scheduled for release in July.

Details of the Star Wars Battlefront Digital Deluxe Edition have been outlined by EA. Digital pre-orders for the game are currently open through the PlayStation store and EA's Origin service. Xbox One pre-orders are "coming soon."
Latching onto the digital deluxe edition of the game gives instant access to 5 in-game items. Two emotes exclusive to the edition, Ion Shock and Victory are available, along with Ion Grenade, Ion Torpedo, and the DL44 Blaster. You know, like the one Han Solo calls trusty when compared to hokey religions and ancient weapons.
Pre-ordering the game will also grant gamers access to the battle on the planet of Jakku a week earlier than those who didn't pre-order the game.

McKellen ‘Weepy’ Over Beauty and the Beast
The star-studded cast of Disney's upcoming Beauty and the Beast live-action adaptation gathered together for a first read-through of the script, and the legendary Sir Ian McKellen, who will be the voice of Cogsworth, has shed light on this initial "nerve-wracking" outing.
"There were clusters of white roses on the tables and a mike for each actor so we could be heard above the music from the electronic keyboard and percussion and the glorious voices of a 30-strong choir," McKellen shared in a post on Twitter.
Nintendo Reveals Console Sales Spike Compared to 2014
Nintendo has announced hardware sales of its Wii U and 3DS systems are up nearly 20 and 80 percent respectively this year, when compared with the same time in 2014.
The 3DS has been particularly successful, with sales rising nearly 80 percent over the first quarter of last year. In its second month on sale, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D added more than 184,000 units sold, bringing lifetime sales to more than 730,000. Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, meanwhile, enjoyed sales of 110,000 in its sixth month on the market, bringing sales up to 2.4 million units.
The Wii U, on the other hand, singled out Mario Party 10 for praise, as the latest entry in the franchise sold around 290,000 in its first two weeks. Other big sellers included Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Mario Kart 8, which have been out for five and 11 months, respectively. Smash Bros. sales now stand at around 1.6 million, while Mario Kart 8 is slightly higher on 1.9 million.

Ian McDiarmid Says the Emperor Is Dead, Dead, Dead
Playing off of Star Wars fans' knowledge of the Expanded Universe, Emperor Palpatine actor Ian McDiarmid had a little fun with the audience during his panel at Star Wars Celebration yesterday, at one point speculating that perhaps the character cloned himself before he took a header down that Death Star shaft in Return of the Jedi.
“The Emperor was too bright not to know that,” said McDiarmid of Darth Vader’s potential to turn back to the side of good and betray his master. “Maybe he cloned himself in time to be in the next movie.”
The Emperor of course made just such a comeback in the EU. But as we all know, the Expanded Universe is now dead. And so, it seems, is Palpatine.
