Marvel Teams Up With 12 Years a Slave Writer
Marvel is making yet another foray onto TV screens with an unannounced project, and working with Oscar-winning writer/producer John Ridley to do so.
The project supposedly involves reinventing another Marvel character for ABC, according to EW, but it's unclear who that would be. Daredevil, Marvel's most recent TV release on Netflix, did likewise with the titular hero in Hell's Kitchen.
Ridley, in additon to his Oscar for best adapted screenplay with 12 Years a Slave, executive produces ABC's American Crime drama, and is attached to the upcoming 2016 Ben Hur remake as a writer/producer.
Square Enix: More Unannounced PS4 Titles Coming in 2015
Square Enix will be making more PlayStation 4-related game announcements and releases before 2015 comes to a close, according to producer Shinji Hashimoto.
Speaking to Famitsu (via Gematsu), Hashimoto explained that Square wants "to help spread PS4 even more," and the recent announcement of a sequel to Dragon Quest Heroes is just one step in bringing that goal to fruition.
When asked whether or not now is the opportune time to buy Sony's new-gen platform, the Square Enix producer responded in the affirmative by noting that, in addition to the upcoming release of Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster, Square still has several unannounced PS4 games coming in 2015.

Star Wars Battlefront Will Let You Play as a Female Stormtrooper
Star Wars Battlefront will give players the option to play as a female Stormtrooper character, according DICE general manager Patrick Bach.
"Male or female characters are separate from customization," Bach said. The team tried to stay true to what players would want to customize within the Star Wars universe.
"You can’t do it in crazy ways. You can’t have a pink Darth Vader," he said, saying that the game's features are designed based around what the Star Wars universe is all about. "You want the Stormtroopers to look like Stormtroopers," Back added. Given the inclusion of females in the Stormtrooper corps going back to the time of Palapatine's rule, the choice of male or female is inline with the already established canon.
Star Wars Battlefront Trailer Features Vehicles, Characters
Developer DICE released a trailer for the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront this morning, and it featured a large number of vehicles, characters, and weapons that players will likely be able to use.
After watching it again, we've compiled a slideshow full of screenshots that may be teasing information about Battlefront in its completed form. Speeder bikes, AT-ATs, AT-STs, X and Y-Wing fighters, TIE Fighters, and the Millennium Falcon are all shown in the trailer, along with different alien races, gadgets deploying shields, jetpacks, and weapons.
Classic characters Darth Vader and Boba Fett also appear in the trailer, and based on Battlefront's history, it's likely either one or both of these characters will be playable.

Ex-Wonder Woman Director Wanted Braveheart-esque Film
Michelle MacLaren's sudden departure from the upcoming Wonder Woman live-action movie was reportedly due to the director's desire to create a more action-heavy flick akin to Braveheart.
According to Variety, industry insiders have indicated that since Warner Bros. wanted a more character-driven story that is light on action, MacLaren's desire for an epic origin tale was the reason she parted with the studio.
Since MacLaren's experience has been primarily limited to smaller-scale productions, including directing episodes of The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones, Warner Bros. apparently felt uneasy with her ability to truly deliver on her large-scale vision for the big screen.
Chuck Star Levi to Host Syfy’s Geeks Who Drink Game Show
Zachary Levi, famous for his role as Chuck in the hit NBC drama series of the very same name, will be hosting a weekly game show called Geeks Who Drink, Syfy has announced.
Levi will serve as the executive producer of this Syfy production, in which two teams of three face off in a trivia contest populated by questions full of nerdy know-how. Each team will include one celebrity captain and two trivia experts.
"To be the executive producer and host of Geeks Who Drink is an exciting opportunity to broaden my experience on both sides of the camera," Levi said. "Geeks Who Drink is such a fresh take on the game show genre, and something that we at The Nerd Machine believe will resonate with everyone who loves trivia and pop culture."
