Soul Axiom: A First-Person Puzzler that Rides the Lightning
It begins on the deck of a ship, slick with rain and shrouded in darkness. A flash of lightning reveals a man's silhouette on the sterncastle above, and then he vanishes, leaving me alone with the wind and rain. It doesn't take me long to stumble my way below deck, where I discover a huge generator situated next to a pair of big electrodes. Gripping both turns me into a conductor for their electricity, and while it costs me a few screams, the ship hums to life, a huge neon sail suddenly unfurling from its mast.
I climb a glowing, newly materialized ladder to the crow's nest and zipline down to where I saw the man's silhouette, but the thrill of discovery doesn't last. The ship – which appears to be floating in the sky – comes under attack from a huge, winged shadow, which plunges its hands into the deck and rips out the generator. As the ship takes a nosedive, I plummet from stern to bow, take a falling lantern to the face, and black out.

Over 100K People Want Modern Warfare 2 Remake
A petition online for a remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has now surpassed 100,000 signatures.
Australian fan Ramez Zahra began the petition a week ago, saying in the petition description that he believes Modern Warfare 2 was one of Activision's best games. "Just a fun and enjoyable game," Zahra wrote.
He's not alone is his love for MW2. As of this writing, the total number of people who've signed the petition is sitting just below 110,000, putting it just 40,000 signatures short of its goal.
In our 2009 review of Modern Warfare 2, we gave the game a 9.5, saying it's one of the "best first person shooters out there."
Breaking Bad Creator: Stop Throwing Pizza on the Roof
Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan has some strong words for fans of the AMC drama.
On the Better Call Saul Insider Podcast released earlier this week, Gilligan asked fans visiting Albuquerque, New Mexico to stop re-creating a pivotal scene from Breaking Bad in which Walter White (Bryan Cranston) throws a pizza on the roof.
"They're
throwing pizzas on roofs and stuff like that. Let me tell you: There is nothing funny or original or cool about throwing pizzas on this lady's roof," he said. "It is just not funny. It's been done before. You're not the first."
Plants vs. Zombies Monthly Comic Series Coming
Protect your brains: starting with Plants vs. Zombies: Bully For You #1, Dark Horse Comics will be putting out their Plants vs. Zombies comics in print on a monthly basis.
For the past two years, Dark Horse has released their Plants vs. Zombies comics digitally and then collected them into graphic novels, but now we're getting them in print on a monthly basis.
These new Plants vs. Zombies comics won't be published as an ongoing series, however. Instead, every three issues will be a separate mini-series. There are currently plans for one year of mini-series.
Walking Dead: Now You Can Bake Carol’s Cookies
"And you'll get cookies ... lots of cookies."
AMC has posted the recipe for the cookies Carol made in this past Sunday's episode of The Walking Dead, a ploy on her part to win the trust of her seemingly naive new neighbors.
"In Episode 513 of The Walking Dead, Carol continues to play 'Suzy Homemaker' for the Alexandrians," the official blog posted. "That is, until one resident catches Carol stealing guns. Soon that little guy has a big decision to make: meet a grisly end or eat more cookies."
Who (or What) Is the All-New Batman?
Batman writer Scott Snyder is promising that major changes are coming for his ongoing Batman comic this summer. When the series returns from its brief, Convergence-fueled hiatus in June, readers will find a dramatically different take on the Caped Crusader. This hero looks to be more Bat-machine than Batman.

Snyder teased a major status quo change in an interview with Comic Book Resources this week. He said, "I'm not going to spoil it specifically, but I can tell you unequivocally, it is the boldest, weirdest, biggest thing we've ever tried on the book. I'm not being hyperbolic: You'll see it, and you'll be like, 'I can't believe they're doing that.'"
Concept Artist Claims He-Man Blu-ray Stole His Work
Freelance illustrator and concept artist Dave Rapoza claims that his work has been used without his permission.
Rapoza – whose work has been commissioned by the likes of Bethesda, Riot Games, Blizzard, and 20th Century Fox for X-Men Days of Future Past – believes his fan art of Skeletor has been used on the cover of the Swedish Blu-ray rerelease of 1987’s Masters of the Universe.
For comparison, here’s both the Blu-ray cover and the original image crafted by Rapoza.
