Rumor: Batman Arkham Collection Coming to Xbox One, PS4

Remastered versions of Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Asylum are reportedly being remastered for PS4 and Xbox One.

A source close to IGN Italy let the bat out of the bag, saying the two games will be part of a remastered collection in time for the holidays.

Last week, Sony announced a remastered version of God of War III will be coming to PS4, and Microsoft brought the original Halo series into the current generation with the Master Chief Collection.

The Batman games are certainly rich material for the remastered treatment. We gave Batman: Arkham Asylum a 9.3 in our review, and Batman: Arkham City scored a 9.5.

Famitsu Teasing Major Game Announcement for Nintendo Systems

A major game announcement for Nintendo platforms is coming very soon, according to the latest issue of Famitsu DS+Wii.

The Japanese gaming magazine is teasing an exciting Nintendo-related game reveal, which is coming in its next issue. While the translation of the article doesn't mention specific platforms, we can only assume that the plural use of "Nintendo platforms" indicates a launch across both Wii U and 3DS.

Seeing as how Dragon Quest is such an incredibly popular franchise in Japan, other around the web have speculated the announcement could be in relation to a new entry in the series, but with so little to go on right now, it really could be anything.

Batman: Arkham Knight Release Date Delayed

Batman: Arkham Knight has been delayed and will now be available worldwide on June 23.

The news comes courtesy of the game's official Twitter, and marks a three-week delay from the previously-announced launch date of June 2.

No reasons have been given for the delay as yet, but it's not the first time we've seen Rocksteady and Warner Bros. push the release date back. Originally planned for release on October 14 last year, the game was delayed until 2015 back in June. The news of today's release date confirms the game has been delayed by around eight months.

SHIELD: See Ward and Agent 33’s Return

We hadn’t seen Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD since the midseason finale back in December, but that will change Tuesday night. IGN has an exclusive clip for you from this week’s new episode, “Love in the Time of Hydra”, which you can check out above, showing what Ward and Agent 33 (Ming-Na Wen) have been up.

Dalton says that when it comes to Ward and 33, “I think what we’re seeing now is an unlikely duo who have both lost someone who gave them orders. So both of us have this question that we’ve been forced to answer: Who are we when someone’s not telling us what to do? I wrestled with those demons for six months in a padded cell before Season 2 and now Agent 33 is in a similar position and wondering what to do. I might have some knowledge in that.”

Halo 5: Guardians is getting a live-action trailer set to reveal a glimpse of the game's story on March 29.

Microsoft has revealed the trailer will be watchable online, and is set to build on the other elements of the marketing campaign we've seen so far.

The site featured a bullet image marked “traitor” which was again seen in a pulled teaser video on YouTube that was later posted on the teaser page.

This Character Almost Joined the Smash Bros. Roster

Takamaru, the samurai protagonist of the classic Famicom game The Mysterious Murasame Castle, was originally going to be included as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and its handheld counterpart.

Game director Masahiro Sakurai revealed this news in a recent video interview, in which he explains that because the character wouldn't be recognizable to the vast majority of Nintendo fans, Takamaru ultimately didn't make it past the cutting room floor. Instead, he was included in the game as an assist trophy.

You Can Help Name the Landscapes of Pluto and Charon

NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft is making its final its approach to Pluto and you have the chance to name its landscape and its large moon, Charon, with an official public campaign called “Our Pluto”.

Current images of Pluto are crude images of a light and dark landscape but that will change as New Horizons coasts past the outer planetary body in a few months to capture high quality images of its surface.

“Craters, mountains and other landforms will take shape before our eyes," Mark Showalter, member of the New Horizons Science Team senior research scientist at the SETI Institute, said in the announcement. "When New Horizons flies past Pluto in July, we will see a new, alien landscape in stark detail. At that point, we will have a lot to talk about. The only way we can talk about it is if those features, whatever they turn out to be, have names.”
