Atari Launches Asteroids: Outpost Today on Early Access
Asteroids: Outpost, Atari's reimagining of its classic arcade game, is now available on Steam Early Access.
For a limited time, Asteroids: Outpost will cost $19.79 USD, to commemorate the 1979 launch of the original Asteroids. When this offer expires, it will return to its regular price of $30 USD.
Asteroids: Outpost is described as an open-world, multiplayer survival game. You'll be placed on the Asteroid Belt, where you'll be able to mine materials, craft tools and weapons, build and defend a base, and attack bases belonging to others. While it clearly differs from the original, Outpost will pay homage to Asteroids through asteroid destruction animations and outer space themes.

Fifty Shades Director Not Returning For Sequels
Sam Taylor-Johnson will not return to direct either of the two sequels to the movie adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.
Speaking with Deadline, Taylor-Johnson said: "While I will not be returning to direct the sequels, I wish nothing but success to whosoever takes on the exciting challenges of films two and three."
Deadline reports that Taylor-Johnson's departure is the result of clashes over creative controls. Author E. L. James wanted to ensure that the film would please the 100 million fans of her book series, and Taylor-Johnson felt "creatively handcuffed" by James' wishes.
