Monthly Archives: February 2015
Out This Week: February 17, 2015
With so many new games and movies coming out, it can be hard to keep up. Lucky for you, IGN is here to help with a weekly round-up of the biggest releases each and every week. Check out the latest releases for this week, and be sure to come back next Monday for a new update.
Note: The prices and deals compiled below are accurate at the time we published this story, but all are subject to change.
Wrestling Wrap Up: Massive Reigns/Bryan Brawl
Nevermind how we actually got here (fans booing the s*** out of Roman Reigns) or how the WWE says we got here (Daniel Bryan never got a title rematch/Reigns had The Rock "help him win the Rumble"), I'm loving the Reigns/Bryan feud.
Of course there are certain ways I'd like to see the Fastlane main event go (and end), but I'm totally sold on this feud. Mostly because I'm sure Roman "No Chill" Reigns, on some real level, truly does resent all of the backlash he's been receiving. Again, none of it wholly his fault, but instead the fault of the booking that practically set him up to fail.

Why Didn’t Battle of the Five Armies Make $1B?
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is a blockbuster hit that was expected to break $1 billion worldwide as the trilogy's first installment did in 2012. But even though international attendance didn't dip from the past two Hobbit movies, The Battle of the Five Armies will now make $90 million less than had been expected. So what happened?
It turns out The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, and its distributor Warner Bros., are the victims of declining global exchange rates. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Battle of the Five Armies had grossed north of $620 million offshore as of Jan. 29 for a worldwide total of $867 million. Were it not for the exchange-rate debacle, the film could have crossed $1 billion."

Sony: The Last Guardian is Still in Development
The recent lapse in The Last Guardian's trademark isn't indicative of any trouble with the project.
A Sony representative confirmed with IGN that the project was still very much in development. We have reached out to learn more about the causes of the lapse.
This is not the first time the game's trademark has expired, as it was reported to have done so back in 2012. Details surrounding its reported lapse are unclear.
Developed by Team ICO (Shadow of the Colossus, ICO), The Last Guardian is a game about a young boy and his bond with a large, flying dog-like creature. It was originally announced at E3 2009 and has since experienced multiple setbacks, including the departures of producer Kenji Kaido, executive producer Yoshifusa Hayama and Team ICO founder Fumito Ueda, the announcement that it was on hiatus, and its possible movement from the PlayStation 3 to the PlayStation 4.
