Netflix’s Trollhunters Renewed for Season 2
Netflix has renewed Trollhunters for a second season.
Series creator Guillermo del Toro shared the news with Entertainment Weekly, noting that the team behind the show has been "working on a second season for a while now." Season 2 will span a total of 13 episodes when it makes its debut on Netflix sometime later this year.
The DreamWorks animated series centers around a teenage warrior named Jim, who was voiced by Anton Yelchin in the first season. Del Toro addressed how Yelchin's death last year will affect the series, saying the producers knew right from the start that they "wanted to preserve as much of the performance of Anton as possible."
6 Reasons Why Injustice 2’s Combat Feels Different
At first glance, aside from a big visual upgrade, Injustice 2 seems to play awfully similar to the original for a numbered sequel. Heck, I even wrote about it. But after taking a closer look, there are more than a few subtle additions that come together to make Injustice 2 feel like a new game that requires a different approach.
I spoke to the folks over at NetherRealm Studios to really dial in to what’s new, what’s tweaked, and why it matters. Here’s what sets Injustice 2’s combat system apart from its predecessor.
For the cost of one meter segment, any character can turn their forward dash into a far-reaching roll maneuver that’s fully hit-invincible (but can be thrown) starting on frame 2, and for up to 16 frames. In plain terms, this gives everyone a way to blow through the keep-away/zoning tactics that made many characters in Injustice 1 feel unassailable (I’m looking at you, Supes).
Survive Call of Cthulhu by Slowing Down and Understanding Your World
Part-crime scene investigation, part-RPG, Call of Cthulhu is primarily concerned with detailing and emulating the writings of H.P Lovecraft upon which it is based. Over the course of our most recent showing of the game - a 20 minute guided demo - we were presented with eyeless monsters, paintings acting as doorways to alternative dimensions, murder scenes in which children seem to have been the victims and a decrepit mansion that wouldn’t feel out of place in Resident Evil or a Dracula movie.
The inspiration for the game’s rules and workings comes from the official board game of the same name, a pen-and-paper RPG in the Dungeons and Dragons ilk, first released in 1981. As a result, this is a game that prioritises reading and listening for clues just as much as it wants you to act upon them.
Rocket League Announces Hot Wheels DLC
Psyonix and Hot Wheels have teamed up to bring two new cars to Rocket League on February 21.
The new cars — Twin Mill III and Bone Crusher — will each cost $2 USD and include exclusive new wheels and six decals. A Hot Wheels-themed antenna and topper will also appear as random post-match drops for all players the day the DLC is released.
Rocket League has been wildly successful since it was first released in July 2015. As of January 11, the competitive car-soccer game has over 25 million registered players across all platforms and was the most-downloaded game on PlayStation 4 for all of 2016.

Street Fighter 5 Character Reveal Coming Soon
The next character to join Street Fighter V will be unveiled today, Capcom has announced.
The following teaser image was posted on the official Street Fighter Twitter account, suggesting the character will have ice-based attacks:

The general suspicion among fans is that the character is Helen, potentially under her other name, Kolin, who players know from the game's General Story mode. As noted by Shoryuken, the changes made to the Street Fighter Facebook page for SFV's second season also suggest it's Helen/Kolin. The icon has been changed to have an icy background, and the silhouette of a mysterious character (that resembles Helen) has that same frozen look.
ME: Andromeda: Paragon/Renegade Removal Explained
In the original Mass Effect trilogy, your dialogue choices would very often give you points in either Renegade or Paragon, a sliding scale determining your overall morality. Mass Effect: Andromeda's creative director Mac Walters has explained why this system is no more in Mass Effect: Andromeda.
In an interview with Official Xbox Magazine (thanks GamesRadar), Walters said the old system "felt very Shepard." He goes on to say it "didn't really make sense if we weren't going to have Shepard as our protagonist."
Walters said the new system is "based more around agreeing and disagreeing." He said in the original trilogy, players would choose a dialogue response based on whether it was Paragon or Renegade, and not actually think about what they were saying.
Nioh Co-op Changed in Final Game Because It Was “Too Easy”
PS4 Dark Souls-alike, Nioh included full drop-in co-op in its three demo versions, but the main game doesn't include the same feature. After fans questioned the change, developer Team Ninja has explained why the feature is altered in the final product.
“You cannot co-op through the entire game because that would make it too easy for players to beat the game,” said creative director Tom Lee to Kotaku. “We want players to experience Nioh in how it was intended to be. We allowed players to co-op anytime in the last trial demo only because of the limited stages and time to try out the demo.”
Fallout Shelter Hitting Xbox Doesn’t Mean It’ll Come to PS4
Fallout Shelter arrived on Xbox One and Windows 10 this week, but that doesn't mean it will be getting a PS4 port too.
Asked by a fan on Twitter whether the move to console meant it could arrive on other platforms, Bethesda head of PR Pete Hines gave a non-committal response - but for good reason:
@Elektr0ns dunno. We didn't make it for Xbox. We made it for universal windows platform, which supports a variety of devices
