Kevin Smith Making TV Series Based on Spawn Characters
Kevin Smith is working on a new BBC America series based on two popular Spawn characters.
Deadline reports Smith is attached to direct, write, and executive produce a show about Sam and Twitch. Created by Tod McFarlane, the two characters are NYPD homicide detectives who first made their debut in the Spawn comics helping out the titular anti-hero. Due to their popularity, they eventually received their own comic book series where the duo go up against an occult and try to solve several grizzly crimes.
“I bumped into Kevin Smith at Sundance and he is beyond himself excited about this, about the show,” said BBC America and GM Sarah Barnett.

While both were sworn to relative secrecy about what specifically will happen in Season 7, they did offer some solid teases of what we can expect.
Nintendo Switch eShop Purchases Will Be Tied to an Account
Things you buy on the Nintendo Switch eShop will reportedly be associated with a user account, rather than a specific piece of hardware.
On current Nintendo systems, if you buy a digital game for a console, it stays there and it can't be recovered if you want to download it on another system. According to NintendoLife, a statement in the Switch UI suggests this will no longer be the case when the Switch launches.
A NeoGAF user who received one of the new consoles early has apparently found a statement saying: "Your Nintendo account contains your Nintendo eShop purchase history and current balance. By re-linking your Nintendo Account after initializing the console, it will be possible to redownload any software or DLC purchased using that account. (Software that has been discontinued may not be available for redownload in some cases.)"
Sony Files Patent for What Looks Like a Switch-esque Device
It looks like Sony may be taking cues from Nintendo, as the PlayStation manufacturer has filed a patent for what looks like a new Switch-inspired handheld device.
As spotted by NeoGAF user ponpo, the patent was filed back in 2015 but was only just recently published. While the controller pieces on the side look as though they may be detachable, they aren't explicitly shown as being removable from the device.

Art from Cancelled Sci-Fi Game by God of War Dev Emerges
Images thought to be from a cancelled Sony Santa Monica project have appeared online.
The unannounced PlayStation 4 project, thought to have been a new sci-fi IP, had been in development when layoffs hit the God of War studio three years ago.
The images - originally on an artist's personal site who allegedly worked on the project for three years - were discovered by nerdleaks but have since been removed. However, a whole raft of duplicates, which include detailed concept, character art, and CG models, have been uploaded to Imgur.
