New Pestilence Comic Asks ‘What If the Black Plague Was Caused by Zombies?’

Writer Frank Tieri and artist Oleg Okunev are teaming up for a new comic book at AfterShock Comics called Pestilence. The series will explore what it would be like if the Black Death plague was actually an undocumented zombie apocalypse.

There have been numerous zombie stories set in modern times and in the not-so-distant future, but AfterShock editor-in-chief/co-founder Mike Marts worked on giving the genre a twist with film/TV writers Eric Bromberg and Brandon Auman, then presented the idea to Tieri, who was intrigued to explore it in a comic.

Wrestling Wrap Up: Why SmackDown Was a Let Down

There's an ample amount of assorted odds and ends to get to this week, but first on the docket, let's discuss the end of SmackDown Live this week.

...What in the hell?

Let me just say that I'm all in on Luke Harper being the (assumed) contender for Bray's title at WrestleMania. Sure AJ deserves it because we love AJ and want nothing but the moon and stars above for him, but AJ vs Bray isn't all that grabbing. Luke fits into the Wyatt family implosion storyline and I think he's an uber talented dude who could thrive on his own. Plus, Randy may even decide that now, after Luke is named the challenger, he wants to be in the match. To protect Bray. Or, you know, "protect" Bray. Then we get a Wyatt triple threat.

Logan Director: No Post-Credits Scene

Logan director James Mangold has confirmed the film doesn't have a post-credits scene.

Mangold revealed the news on Twitter while responding to a fan asking if this supposed scene was something the director wanted to include from the beginning. Mangold answered saying, "There is not a post credits scene."

Rumors of an extra scene being added to the theatrical release of the film first surfaced yesterday, where it was spotted that 20th Century Fox added an additional three minutes to Logan's runtime. There were also plenty of rumors that Deadpool would appear at the end of Logan, but Mangold denied those reports as well and hilariously decried the speculation as "fake news".
