The Wolverine Foreshadowed the Ending of Logan

Logan director James Mangold had the film's conclusion planned out quite a while ago. In fact, he foreshadowed Logan's ending in an prior movie he directed starring the clawed mutant, The Wolverine.

Warning: Logan spoilers follow. 

In The Wolverine, a mutant who can see the future named Yukio tells Wolverine (Hugh Jackman): "I see you on your back, there’s blood everywhere. You're holding your own heart in your hand." While this prophetic word does come to pass the The Wolverine, when Logan must carve out a parasite that is embedded in his heart and inhibiting his regeneration ability, it is also realized in Logan.

At the conclusion of the film, when Logan is on death's door covered in blood, he's figuratively holding his "heart" as he grips the hand of his daughter. A fan on Twitter (via Collider) spotted the connection and Mangold retweeted the post, confirming that he indeed was foreshadowing this moment during The Wolverine.

Gran Turismo Sport Is Getting a Beta After All

Polyphony Digital president Kazunori Yamauchi has today confirmed a closed beta for Gran Turismo Sport will begin next week. Yamauchi discussed the news in a new post on the official Gran Turismo site.

The “initial phase” of the closed beta, which begins on March 17, will only be open to selected US PSN IDs. Those in North America interested in registering for a chance to join the beta can do so here.

Yamauchi explains participants will be able to choose from a curated rotation of cars and tracks each day to race online against others during the beta periods. He also notes this will be our first opportunity to see how GT Sport’s new Sportsmanship Rating and Driver Rating will work in-game.

John Carmack Fires Back at ZeniMax With His Own Lawsuit

Oculus VR chief technology officer John Carmack is suing his former employer ZeniMax Media for more than $22.5 million USD.

The lawsuit claims ZeniMax, which was revealed to have purchased id for $150 million, didn't pay Carmack the final installment he claims he is owed.

According to a report by the Dallas News, Carmack "received a convertible promissory note valued at more than $45.1 million," from the sale of id to ZeniMax in 2009.

Carmack converted half his shares in id into ZeniMax stock, and the other half is the subject of the lawsuit.

Deadpool 2: Atlanta’s Zazie Beetz Cast as Domino

Deadpool 2 has found its Domino.

Ryan Reynolds announced on Twitter that Atlanta star Zazie Beetz has been cast as the mutant mercenary who has quite the history with Cable.

Beetz recently had a breakout performance in Atlanta playing Donald Glover's best friend and the mother of his child, Van. She beat out five other actresses who were also reportedly up for the role, including Lizzy Caplan, Sienna Miller, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

The Top 10 Buffy the Vampire Slayer Episodes

20 years ago, Joss Whedon turned the just-okay movie he wrote -- but wasn't happy with -- into an exemplary, game-changing TV show that would influence dozens of sci-fi and fantasy projects to come while also elevating genre TV as a whole. Debuting on the WB network on March 10th, 1997, Buffy the Vampire Slayer showed the world that triumphant television could be made from stories featuring a teenage girl battling vampires, demons, and other assorted things that go bump in the night.

How Planet Hulk Inspired Thor Ragnarok

We got our first real look at Thor: Ragnarok this week, as Marvel revealed a bunch of images and plot points from the upcoming third film featuring Chris Hemsworth's Avenger. Steven Universe RPG Coming to PS4 This Year

Steven Universe is getting its own RPG called Save the Light, from Steven Universe co-creator Rebecca Sugar, Grumpyface Studios, and Cartoon Network. It's set to launch on PlayStation 4 later this year.

A sequel to the fantasy adventure show's 2015 mobile game called Attack the Light, the upcoming Save the Light features an original story co-written by Sugar and will let players customize their team with different characters from the show.
