Christian Bale Top Choice to Play Dick Cheney in Biopic

Anchorman director Adam McKay wants Christian Bale to play Dick Cheney in a new film.

Deadline reports Bale is the top choice for McKay, and now it's up to Paramount to go ahead with the casting choice. McKay also wants Amy Adams to star as Cheney's wife Lynne, and Steve Carell to portray the former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. McKay recently just worked with both Bale and Carell on his last film The Big Short.

The movie, which is still untitled, will focus on Cheney's historic move from being the Halliburton chief executive to suddenly becoming, arguably, the most powerful Vice President in US history. McKay wrote the script and is aiming to start filming in September for a late 2018 release. Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, and McKay are among the producers for the project.

NASA Discovers Weird, Unexplained Circle on Mars’ Surface

A strange scaly circle on the surface of Mars has become the subject of much speculation for scientists.

Reported by the Daily Mail, NASA is currently investigating a strange mark on the South Polar layered deposits of the red planet and, while it's currently believed to be an impact crater, the icy surface can make accurate assessments of the terrain difficult.

An image from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter's HiRISE depicts the large crater surrounded by smaller pocs, and showcases the bizarre texture that has scientists talking. Images such as these can be used to help map the age of the landscape by their size and frequency, however, changes over time make this process increasingly difficult.

With the release of Uncanny Avengers #22 (by Gerry Duggan and  Pepe Larraz) and Captain America: Steve Rogers #15 (by Nick Spencer, Javier Pina and Andrew Guinaldo), we finally see Steve execute his plan.

Warning: this article contains full spoilers!

Ever since he stole the brain of a deceased Professor Xavier, the Red Skull has been more dangerous than ever because he wields the power of the world’s most gifted telepath. That's right, he's so twisted he installed pieces of Xavier's brain into his own in order to use his powers. (Gross.) Steve was restricted greatly by Red Skull’s ability to read minds, so he kept his distance and only communicated through holograms, Vader/Palpatine style, all the while playing a long shadow game against his master.
