The arc features the return of Lady Shiva and the League of Shadows. Shiva has some ruinous plans for Gotham City, natch, but her real goal centers around her daughter Cassandra Cain aka Orphan. Cass is considered the best hand-to-hand fighter in the DC Universe, even better than Batman, so Shiva is sick of how her daughter refuses to use her full, lethal potential and views Cass as weak, so she's continually testing her and trying to push her limits. This story has become a battle for Gotham with Batman's team taking on the League of Shadows and a personal family quarrel as Cassandra tries to come to grips with what she is and good ol' mom.
Ghost in the Shell: New Anime Project Officially Announced
A new Ghost in the Shell anime project is in the works at Japanese animation studio Production I.G.
According to an announcement posted on Production I.G.'s official website, the project will be co-directed by Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) and Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed Alpha).
For now, details are scarce. No title or release date have been announced, and we don’t yet know if the project will be a TV series or movie.
Ghost in a Shell began its life as a manga created by Masamune Shirow in 1989. The franchise was adapted into an animated feature film by director Mamoru Oshii in 1995, and has since expanded into a variety of other mediums, including video games and television.
Dwayne Johnson to Shoot Jungle Cruise in Early 2018
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is officially adding another project to his already busy schedule, as the Fate of the Furious star will begin shooting a movie based on Disney's Jungle Cruise ride in spring 2018.
THR reports that Johnson, who has been attached to the project since 2015, will also produce the project, which has reportedly seen several script rewrites. A search for a director is now underway, according to THR.
Jungle Cruise follows in the footsteps of Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean, which adapted the popular theme park ride into a billion-dollar film franchise. (A fifth film in that series, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, hits theaters this year.) Johnson will reportedly tackle the project following his slate of already scheduled projects, which includes an adaptation of Rampage, followed by Skyscraper, and then promotion for the upcoming Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which releases in theaters on December 22.

14 Live-Action Anime Remakes in the Works
We all know about the video game movie curse, but what about the anime curse?
Live-action and anime have rarely gone together well, but still, just about every major Hollywood studio is trying to jump in on anime with live-action remakes these days.
Would you have ever thought that an Alita movie would make $400 million at the box office? Imagine what a good Naruto or Attack on Titan movie could do. Or imagine how much attention a Cowboy Bebop or Sword Art Online remake could bring for a company like Netflix. Those are just four of the live-action anime remakes that are reportedly in the works at the moment. Some are further along than others in their development -- and some may be stuck in development hell for that matter -- but with Tokyo Ghoul S about to get a theatrical release, we figured it was a good time to check up on the status of them all...
Marvel’s Inhumans Explained
The Inhumans are about to get their moment in the MCU sun… so to speak. So we guess, “It’s All Not Quite Entirely Connected All The Time, So Sue Us?”
The ABC TV series, premiering this September, stars Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Ken Leung as Karnak, Iwan Rheon as Maximus, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, and Mike Moh as Triton. The opening two installments will get a special two-week IMAX run prior to the full first season’s eight-week network airing. Scott Buck of Iron Fist is showrunner, so…that happened. Anyway, let’s find out what these weird and wonderful characters are all about -- it’s time to give you the lowdown on Inhomo Supremis!
