3 New Kirby Games Announced for 3DS
During a Nintendo Direct presentation today, Nintendo showed off three new Kirby games headed to 3DS this year.
The first, Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, will be available on the eShop beginning today and is free to start. Team Kirby Clash Deluxe is an expanded version of the Team Kirby Clash group mini game that previously appeared in last year’s Kirby: Planet Robobot and lets players choose from sword, beam, hammer, or healing abilities.
The second Kirby eShop title is Kirby’s Blowout Blast, which is due to be released this summer. Blowout Blast is also based on a Planet Robobot minigame, Kirby 3D Rumble, but will feature bigger stages along with enemies and bosses.
MST3K Creator on What’s Changed in the New Netflix Version
WE'VE GOT MOVIE SIGN!
Cult cinema companion series Mystery Science Theater 3000 returns to all our lives in a huge way on Netflix this Friday, April 14th, as a Kickstarter campaign made it possible for the series to come back strong in reboot-quel form - with original creator Joel Hodgson (working behind-the-scenes) and new host/test subject Jonah Ray leading us into the darkened theater.
While some things will never change -- namely mad scientists, quipping robots, and mostly unheard of movies -- other things will, as the aforementioned Ray takes over Satellite of Love hosting duties, Crow T. Robot and Tom Servo get new voices
, and Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt step into the mad scientist roles.
Hey! Pikmin: 3DS Game Gets Official Title, Release Date
During a Nintendo Direct today, Nintendo confirmed that Hey! Pikmin is the official title of its upcoming Pikmin 3DS game, and it will be released on July 28, 2017.
Alongside Hey! Pikmin’s launch, a new Pikmin amiibo will be available on the same day.
Hey! Pikmin was announced during a Nintendo Direct last year, but didn’t have a title until today. Since then, Nintendo hasn’t said much beyond confirming that it was still due for release later this year.
Universal’s Jimmy Fallon Ride Feels a Lot Like Mario Kart
Universal Orlando Resort and its two theme parks are filled with attractions based on big name franchises – Jurassic Park! Harry Potter! Transformers! Spider-Man! The Simpsons! But their newest inclusion stands out because a late night talk show isn’t exactly the kind of property one expects to get a theme park ride… and yet Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, which just opened at Universal Studios Florida, does just that.
I’m not exactly a big fan of Fallon’s incarnation of The Tonight Show, and it innately feels weird that any show of this sort would be the subject of a theme park attraction. Then there's the fact that this is yet another 3D motion-simulator, which feels like a pretty overused theme park go-to at this point. All of which is to say I was pretty cynical when I went on the newly opened ride last week. And yet after all that, I actually found it pretty fun.
Wrestling Wrap Up: Superstar Shakeup was Confusing But Fun
I have a question for you...
Do y'all feel shook up?
All jumbled and stirred and mixed up?
The SuperStar ShakeUp -- aka RAW/SmackDown Re-Accomidation 5000 -- landed this week, just a few days removed from Angle, (the returning) Balor, Nakamura, Dillinger, and the Revival all making big post-Mania splashes on main roster TV. So this has been a loaded few weeks with all the fixins. Fixins, which are an official food group here in the U.S.

Fire Emblem Echoes Characters Coming to FE Heroes
In anticipation for the release of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia next month, Nintendo's free-to-play mobile title Fire Emblem Heroes is getting an update that adds characters featured in the upcoming 3DS game.
The update, dubbed "World of Shadows," releases on April 14 and adds Alm, the Hero of Prophecy, Clair, the Highborn Flier, Lukas, the Sharp Soldier, and Faye, the Devoted Heart.
A new Paralouge accompanying the character additions will be featured in the update as well.
IGN spoke with Fire Emblem Heroes game director Kouhei Maeda regarding the team's post-launch plans for Heroes earlier this year. When asked about the possibility of new content that ties into future Fire Emblems games, Maeda remained tight-lipped, saying, "we can’t discuss details at this time, but I hope you'll be willing to be patient with us."
Greg Rucka Leaving DC’s Wonder Woman Comic
Writer Greg Rucka will be leaving DC's ongoing Wonder Woman comic as of June's Wonder Woman #25.
Rucka made the announcement via his Tumblr, explaining that the decision was his and that the series' twice-monthly schedule was making it difficult to keep up his commitments to his other projects. "I just can’t maintain the pace on the title while also fulfilling my commitments to my other collaborators. It is, genuinely, as simple as that." said Rucka.
Deadpool 2: Josh Brolin Cast as Cable
Josh Brolin has been cast as Cable in Deadpool 2.
IGN can confirm that Brolin, who currently serves as Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has signed a four-film deal to play the character who was first teased in a post-credits scene of the original Deadpool film.
The four-picture deal would likely extend beyond roles in Deadpool-centric films, as producer and writer Simon Kinberg has said that both Deadpool and Cable will appear in the planned X-Force movie.
Brolin first debuted as Thanos in Marvel Studios' cinematic universe, which exists separately from Fox's Marvel universe, in 2014. He also made a cameo appearance as the character in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron and is set to return in Avengers: Infinity War in 2018. He also starred as DC Comics character Jonah Hex in the antihero's self-titled 2010 film.
Scorpio Supports AMD Freesync Thanks to HDMI 2.1
Microsoft's Project Scorpio supports variable refresh rates, meaning display technology like AMD Freesync and Nvidia G-Sync are compatible with the upcoming console.
In fact, Project Scorpio already supports AMD's anti-screen tearing technology. According to a report by Gamasutra, Microsoft is "working with TV manufacturers to try and ensure Scorpio will support" variable refresh rates "in as many TVs as possible."
Televisions generally come with fixed refresh rates, commonly 60Hz for NTSC regions. When a GPU renders frames, it doesn't always do so at a fixed rate, and this difference in frequency causes screen-tearing. With variable refresh rates, the display can adjust to whatever the GPU throws at it, smoothing out the on-screen action.
