Every Plot Detail Revealed About Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Today at Star Wars Celebration 2017, we got our first major drop of Star Wars: The Last Jedi plot details from the film's panel, as well as the teaser trailer.
Here are some of the biggest things we learned, and the questions we still have.
CHECK OUT THE LAST JEDI TEASER ABOVE.
The trailer showed us images of Rey training with Luke Skywalker on Ahch-To, the planet from the end of Force Awakens. She's sparring with her lightsaber, as well as levitating pebbles using the Force. But it doesn't seem like this will go quite how Rey hoped it would.
Picking up right where The Force Awakens ended, Daisy Ridley teased "Rey has a certain expectation as to what she might be getting from Luke and what that might entail. And as a lot of people might know, it's difficult when you meet your heroes because it might not be what you expect." This is apparent, given Luke's final, ominous line of the teaser, "It's time for the Jedi to end."
Details About New Planet in The Last Jedi Revealed
More information about a new planet glimpsed in the first Star Wars: The Last Jedi teaser trailer has been revealed, including its name.
The new planet is called Crait, as EW has learned via The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson. Beyond its name, however, Johnson explained that Crait is a mineral planet that features an old, abandoned rebel base on it.

2 New Stills of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Rest assured: after a long wait to even see him in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Luke Skywalker is going to be a major player in Episode VIII, Star Wars: The Last Jedi. We also get to hear him in the trailer for the movie, which dropped at Star Wars Celebration 2017.
"He is so significantly important to this next film," Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy said on The Last Jedi panel at Star Wars Celebration 2017. He also isn't quite what Rey expects, according to Daisy Ridley.
How Shadow of War Fits into the Lord of the Rings Universe
For the entire month of April, our IGN First is diving deep into Middle-earth: Shadow of War, the hugely ambitious sequel to 2014's Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
As part of that ongoing coverage, we sat down to ask the Vice President of Creative at Monolith Productions and the man behind the story, Michael de Plater, everything we could about the game. How does it fit between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings? What's up with those Nazgul? How hard is Shadow of War going to be? All that and so, so much more. The little footage we've seen so far has already generated a number of questions, so let's start unpacking them right now.

Finn Needs to Choose His Path in The Last Jedi
During the panel for Star Wars: The Last Jedi at Star Wars Celebration today, John Boyega discussed the evolution of Finn in the highly anticipated movie.
When last we saw Finn, he'd been badly injured by Kylo Ren, and Boyega said as the new movie begins, "It's been painful. It's been a process." He said he felt, Finn definitely stood up for himself," but the injury is something he had to deal with and "He's in recovery, but he will be back in The Last Jedi."
Oscar Isaac couldn't make it to Celebration, but Boyega said that when it came to the popular friendship (and some fans wonder perhaps even more eventually?) between Finn and Poe, Boyega said there'd "absolutely" be more for them, proclaiming, "There's my boy!" when a photo of Isaac as Poe was shown, and adding, "There's always a new adventure for us to go on."
New Character, Rose is the ‘Biggest New Part’ of Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Kelly Marie Tran will play Rose, a Resistance maintenance worker in the "biggest new part" in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Revealed during the panel for the upcoming movie, we didn't learn much about the character, other than that she will join with the core heroes from The Force Awakens.
We did, however, get a first image:
Tran herself said that she'd had to keep her involvement in the film secret from everyone she knew, including her parents: "I told them I was doing an indie movie in Canada."
