Marvel Boss on Brolin Playing Both Cable and Thanos

Marvel Studios and Disney won't be making R-rated comic book movies anytime soon, according to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Feige revealed that, despite the success of Fox's Deadpool and Logan, Marvel will continue to focus on only making family-friendly comic book movies. In Feige's view, the reason Deadpool and Logan were successful wasn't because of their R ratings.

Thor: Ragnarok Director to Cameo as Planet Hulk Character

Taika Waititi is doing more than directing Thor: Ragnarok. He'll also portray Korg in the Marvel movie.

On Monday night, IGN attended an open house at Marvel Studios, where Waititi revealed that he's playing the rock-like alien in Thor: Ragnarok. Now while Korg sort of showed up in Thor: The Dark World — if that actually was him — the Kronan will see a makeover in the new film.

Korg debuted in the comics with the Planet Hulk storyline. Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi will portray him in the new Marvel movie. Black Panther: We Break Down the First Footage

IGN was among the media outlets invited to an open house Monday night at Marvel Studios' office on the Disney lot in Burbank for a preview of what's in store in Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe ... as well as to screen Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in its entirety! (Our film review cannot be posted until the studio-mandated embargo lifts so that's all we can really say about that until then.)

Black Panther was one of the upcoming Phase 3 movies that Marvel was most excited to tout. At one point, we were invited to screen both a behind-the-scenes featurette on the making of the Ryan Coogler-directed film as well as some dailies of scenes featuring stars Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Florence Kasumba, and Andy Serkis.

Code Vein Is Bandai Namco’s New Action RPG

The most recent issue of Japanese magazine Weekly Famitsu revealed more information on Bandai Namco's mysterious new project, teased last week with an animated short.

Code Vein is the name of the new upcoming action RPG, which was previously hinted at with the "Prepare to Dine" teaser. The "dining" refers to players' ability to chow down on monsters as super-powered vampires in the new project.

The animated teaser's tagline, an obvious nod to Dark Souls, led many to believe this new game would directly relate to the punishing series. However, the team behind God Eater is developing the new project, aiming to create a new "dramatic exploration hard action RPG," for unknown consoles, unrelated to God Eater.

Why 1 Million People Play PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds

For the past month, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has taken Steam by storm. The unusually-titled multiplayer shooter earned a whopping $11 million dollars during its first weekend on Early Access and has already sold over one million copies. It sits comfortably among the most-watched games on Twitch, next to streaming staples Hearthstone, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and League of Legends. The reason for this oddly named game’s sudden, meteoric success is simple: it’s really, really good.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds does what many games like it struggle to do: make large-scale, competitive multiplayer survival gaming exciting and accessible. The premise is straightforward. Up to 100 players parachute out of an airplane onto a huge island, where they must immediately arm themselves with any weapons they can scavenge from its abandoned towns, factories, and military bases. Over the course of each match, the size of the battlefield rapidly shrinks, as does its pool of survivors as players begin taking each other out. This imposes an increasingly player-dense playground for shoot-outs. By the end of each game, the last player standing or the last team standing wins.

Ant-Man and the Wasp Director Teases Sequel’s Suits, Tech

As has become customary for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, each hero goes through a visual update with each new appearance. Such is the case for Ant-Man, as well as the introduction of the Wasp in 2018's Ant-Man and the Wasp.

During a tour of Marvel Studios, Ant-Man director Peyton Reed and Marvel Co-Head of Visual Development Andy Park hinted at what viewers can expect in the upcoming sequel.

"One of the things with our movie that’s different and that I love is that all the technology — all the Ant-Man/Giant-Man/Wasp technology — it’s all a product of the Hank Pym character so it’s got to have a different look than the stuff that

Stark designs and all the other designs," Reed said.
