What Savitar’s Identity Means for The Flash’s Future

Full spoilers for The Flash, including the identity of Savitar, continue below. Make sure to read IGN's review of "I Know Who You Are."

Finally the identity of Savitar has been revealed on The Flash and -- surprise, surprise -- it was Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) all along. Not the Barry you see week-in and week-out, though. Instead this is Barry from at some point in the future when he's gone completely evil, has a bad attitude and a burn on his face to match.

To be completely honest, the idea that a future version of Barry is the evil speed god Savitar seems a little far-fetched, even for this show. That said, it's about time The Flash embraces the true villainy of its leading hero.

We know what you're thinking, "Best router for gaming? Any serious gamer is on a hard-wired connection!" We hear you, but everyone still needs WiFi in their home thanks to the proliferation of smartphones, tablets, and other wireless devices. And with the arrival of 80211.ac you can actually game over a modem router connection if you're dealing with cable routing issues or another barrier that prevents you from using a wired connection. Plus, the newest wireless protocol (ac) is much faster than its predecessor, 80211.n, and also offers new performance-boosting features as well such as beamforming and MU-MIMO. This is good news for people who might have wanted to try some wireless gaming in the past but gave up due to insufficient bandwidth.

Top 10 Most Wanted Destiny 2 Changes

It’s fair to say that Destiny was a bit too successful to be written off as a simple proof of concept, but we hope the sequel makes it look like one all the same. These are the top ten features we want in Destiny 2.

Tank1

Aside from the Sparrow, player-controlled vehicles in Destiny never really landed on solid ground. Their appearances were infrequent and lacking in variety, and their inclusion in PVP was divisive to say the least. We’d love to see Bungie explore the vehicular design space to a much greater extent in Destiny 2. Multi-crewed vehicles are well suited for Destiny’s emphasis on team-play, and vehicular inclusions in the odd raid encounter would provide an extra layer of tactical depth. For instance, what if two players in a massive tank had to fend off encroaching waves of elites while the rest of the raid battled a boss? Finally, vehicles in PVP are only fun if the player is expecting them, so continuing to designate which queues contain vehicles and keeping it consistent across all maps is a must.

The Dark Tower: Stephen King’s Thoughts on the Trailer, It, and Cinematic Universes

I’ve been a fan of The Dark Tower for a better part of my life. Stephen King’s amalgam of worlds, stories, and terrors has served as a basis for my love of storytelling for quite some time. On the eve of its first trailer, I got a chance to talk with King himself, and discuss the movie, his process, and just how far his universe extends.

Asking King what he thought of the trailer, his reaction was simple. “I thought it was fantastic.” He elaborated, “Fans of the books are going to be delighted to finally see Roland and Jake on screen, not to mention Walter, the Man in Black.” Expanding on that, I asked him what he thought of seeing two of our most talented actors portraying these characters that he created so long ago. “It was great to see Idris Elba as Roland. He has terrific focus and tremendous energy as Roland. Mathew McConaughey is very scary and very intense as Walter. I love that right away you set up the tension between the two of them.”
