Super Nintendo PlayStation Prototype Now Fully Functioning
Perhaps the most valuable piece of retro gaming hardware on the planet just gained even more value, as the once-dead Super Nintendo PlayStation prototype has been brought back to full functionality.
Hardware hacker Ben Heckendorn, known online as Ben Heck, finally conquered the last piece in the SNES PlayStation puzzle, getting the CD-ROM to boot up a game.
It was known the Super Nintendo PlayStation prototype could power on, but it was unable to boot software from CD-ROM, or even play music. The owners of the prototype, which is the only known Super Nintendo PlayStation prototype in the entire world, loaned Heck the unit, with Heck promising he'd have it fully operational by the 2017 Midwest Gaming Classic.

DICE Unveils New Multiplayer Map for Battlefield 1
DICE has pulled back the curtain on a new map headed to Battlefield 1 called Prise de Tahure.
The developer shared a few details about the map in a post on the official Battlefield website, announcing that Prise de Tahure will soon be available to try out via the Community Test Environment.
Prise de Tahure is set during the autumn in the Butte-de-Tahure region after the Nivelle Offensive, where French raiders attempt to fend off German troops. The map features networks of trenches that cut through a number of villages.
Last month, DICE unveiled another upcoming multiplayer map called Nivelle Nights, which will be available for Battlefield 1 Premium Pass owners next month. As its name implies, the map is set during the night and takes place at the "muddy battlefields around Malmaison and Soupier."
37 Beautiful Shots from Nolan’s Dunkirk Trailer
“Cinema lives in wides and closeups.” That’s what Tarkovsky said. Or maybe it was Spielberg. I can’t remember, exactly, but some famous, world-renown filmmaker said something like that sometime, somewhere.
And if you think about it, it makes total sense: that special sense we often get from the movies where the world we see on screen feels bigger and more fantastic, where the stakes are higher, the sacrifices more painful, and the rewards more cathartic -- that feeling that we call cinematic, it comes from a filmmaker’s ability to blend the scale of big sweeping wide shots with the intimacy of close-ups. There are few directors today who do this as masterfully as Christopher Nolan, whose breathtaking full-length trailer for Dunkirk released this morning. Watch it below:
Kingsman 3: Matthew Vaughn Already Developing Film
The edit for Kingsman: The Golden Circle isn't even completed yet, but director Matthew Vaughn is already cooking up a concept for a third movie in the series.
During a press event to promote the Kingsman: The Secret Service sequel, Vaughn told members of the press that he has been developing the idea for the third film while working on Golden Circle.
"By the end of this movie, no one will predict where Eggsy ends up," he said. "Weirdly, Kingsman 2, when we were writing it, we were thinking about Kingsman 3 as well, which was odd. Big idea for that. This is sort of the bridge -- if we can pull this off and people go see it -- to the other one."
