Doug Liman on Why He Decided to Not Direct Gambit

Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman recently discussed why he decided against directing the solo Gambit movie, saying he couldn't connect to the project.

In an interview with Collider, Liman explained that ever since making Swingers and Go, he's always looked for ways to tell his particular version of a film's story, which was not possible for him with Gambit.

"Ever since Go, I've looked for that personal connection where, because of the experiences I've had in life, if I tell this story, it will be fundamentally different than if any other director tells it, even if the experience I'm talking about is the previous movie I've made," Liman said.

Defenders: Luke Cage Star Teases One Big Bad Villain

Just like Thanos is a puppet master for the villains in the Marvel movies, there's apparently been a big bad behind The Defenders and each show.

Luke Cage star Mike Colter opened up to TV Guide (via Screen Rant) about the villains in the upcoming superhero series on Netflix. And he revealed that the Defenders are tied together from a single villainous someone or something.

“The villains that we’re dealing with are a combination of several entities, and they all have something to do with our separate stories that have played out in each of our own individual series," Colter said. "So this has been going on for a while.

Caulifla Is Dragon Ball Super’s First Full-Blood Female Saiyan

The latest episode of Dragon Ball Super introduced its first full-blood female Saiyan, Caulifla.

As reported by Ota-suke (translation via Crunchyroll), the lady Saiyan warrior from Universe 6 is voiced by Yuka Komatsu.

While she may look like a lawless child, Caulifla is said to have a "battle sense" that is unparalleled. It's also worth noting that Caulifla is in keeping with Akira Toriyama's vegetable-inspired naming tradition, as the lady Saiyan's name striking similar to cauliflower.

Quake Champions Open Tech Test Announced

Bethesda will open up Quake Champions to everyone for a limited time.

As part of the large-scale tech test, Bethesda is keeping Ouake Champions live from May 12 to 21. It's a notable departure from the closed beta, as anyone can get a code and the game won't just be available during weekends.

In addition, Quake Champions will feature a new Sacrifice mode during the tech test. It's a 4-vs.-4, team-based multiplayer battle.

The shooter doesn't have a release date yet, but Quake Champions will be free to play when it officially launches.

Prey PC Players Reporting Game-Breaking Issues

A few days after its release, a number of users, including IGN's reviews editor, have reported encountering game-breaking save issues and other problems in Arkane Studios' Prey.

IGN's Dan Stapleton, who posted his Prey review in progress last week, encountered a bug 30 hours into the game that has corrupted his last few saves. Those saves either crash after being loaded and attempting to move into a new area or present him with an error message saying "Save game incompatible with current game version."

Jennifer Morrison Confirms Once Upon a Time Exit

Once Upon a Time star Jennifer Morrison has confirmed she won't be back as a series regular in the event ABC renews the series for a seventh season.

"As I reached the end of my 6 year contract on Once Upon a Time, I was faced with a significant decision. ABC, Eddy Kitsis, and Adam Horowitz very generously invited me to continue as a series regular. After very careful consideration, I have decided that creatively and personally, it is time for me to move on," Morrison said in a post on Instagram.
