X-Men TV Series Officially Ordered by FOX
FOX has ordered the new X-Men-connected television series, now officially called The Gifted, for the 2017-2018 TV season.
A new teaser was released to coincide with the announcement, with the full trailer debuting on Monday, May 15. It's currently not known how many episodes the first season will consist of and when the show will premiere on FOX. X-Men movie director Bryan Singer directed the pilot episode from a script from Burn Notice creator Matt Nix, and Nix will serve as showrunner. The Gifted is co-produced by Marvel and Fox, following the two partnering on Legion for FX.
The series follows the story of two ordinary parents (True Blood's Stephen Moyer and Person of Interest's Amy Acker) who find out their children have mutant powers. The family are forced to run from a hostile government and join an underground network of mutants who're fighting for survival.
Guillermo del Toro’s Hellboy 3 That Never Was
The official announcement by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola that a cinematic reboot of Hellboy is on the way seals the fate of Guillermo del Toro's long-gestating Hellboy 3.
Ever since Hellboy II: The Golden Army's 2008 release, del Toro and Hellboy star Ron Perlman frequently discussed the potential for a third iteration of his take on the comic book character. Earlier this year, del Toro said the third film "100 percent will not happen," but what could have been — as it's just one of many cancelled projects IGN is dying to see — had del Toro and Perlman had one more chance to tell Red's story?
BioWare’s New IP Release Date Pushed Back
During its quarterly call with investors today, EA announced BioWare's new project has been pushed into its 2019 fiscal year.
EA's fiscal year begins in April, so it looks like we'll need to wait until at least April 2018. In January, EA announced BioWare's new IP release date was sometime before March of 2018.
The delay is attributed to new features BioWare is adding to the as-of-yet unnamed game, built around a live service, something EA said is coming along well.
"We're very pleased with the progress of our new action IP from BioWare," EA CEO Andrew Wilson said during the call. "We decided to add more to the disruptive new social design for our players."

Now, Bethesda has offered a more specific time frame for that patch.
"The team is working diligently on a fix and the aim is to have an update out this week," a representative for Bethesda Softworks told IGN, explaining that more information regarding the update should be on the way tomorrow.
