Switch Glitch Sees Consoles Taking Random Screenshots
A new Nintendo Switch bug seems to have emerged over the weekend, causing consoles to autonomously take screenshots, seemingly at random, without the user having pressed the screenshot button.
Documented by multiple users on Reddit and the Nintendo support forum (and experienced by Kotaku UK), the glitch reportedly activates the screenshot function - with its associated click sound - at seemingly random intervals, even waking the console from sleep mode to do so.
Overwatch Art Book and Hardcover Comic On the Way
Two new Overwatch books are on the way from Dark Horse and Blizzard Entertainment.
The first is The Art of Overwatch, a 9”x12” hardcover book that shows off never-before-seen art along with commentary from the game’s development team. It will retail for $49.99. Similar treatment was given to World of Warcraft in the previously released World of Warcraft: Chronicle hardcover art books.
There will also be a limited edition (predictably titled The Art of Overwatch Limited Edition) that is the same book but comes packaged in a clamshell box with magnetic clasps and includes an acetate slipcover designed after Overwatch covergirl Tracer. It also comes with two portfolios, one featuring a portrait print and the other two landscape prints. You can see the prints in the slideshow gallery below except for one that’s being kept a surprise until release. The limited edition will run you $100.
343 Says There Is No Halo 3 Anniversary Remaster
10 years after Halo: Combat Evolved, we got Halo Anniversary. 10 years after Halo 2, we got Halo 2 Anniversary as part of The Master Chief Collection. 10 years after Halo 3 we... probably won't be getting anything.
343 community manager Brian Jarrard (better known as sk7ch343) responded to speculation about a celebratory remaster on Reddit, saying, "OMG stop. There is no Halo 3 Anniversary."
Fans were responding to Jarrard's previous comments about the fact that while Halo 6 will not be at E3, 343 will "have a little something". Back to the drawing board on that one, seems.
SEGA Planning to Revive ‘Major IPs’
SEGA has revealed plans for a revival of “major IPs” within the SEGA Sammy group’s new “Road to 2020” document, released following the March 31, 2017 end of the fiscal year.
The presentation does not specify precisely which “major IPs” SEGA may be seeking to exhume at this stage, though it does stress the company will also seek to expand existing properties and challenge for potential new franchises.
The strategy to resurrect major IPs is noted as one of the major points in SEGA’s goals for the “packaged game field.”

Martin Says Fifth Potential Game of Thrones Spinoff in Development
Game of Thrones scribe George R.R. Martin has revealed that there are potentially five spinoff Game of Thrones series in development, one more than the originally reported four.
In a blog post, Martin said that the fifth is a recent development. "We had four scripts in development when I arrived in LA last week, but by the time I left we had five," the author wrote. He said he would wait for HBO to announce the fifth writer once the deal has closed, but called him a "really terrific addition" who knows Westeros inside and out.
Nintendo Reportedly Developing Zelda Mobile Game
Nintendo is bringing Zelda to mobile, according to a new report.
The Wall Street Journal claims that The Legend of Zelda will follow in the footsteps of Animal Crossing, Super Mario and Fire Emblem as the next big name Nintendo franchise heading to your mobile device. Although not much information was proffered, TWS said the Zelda mobile game would follow the Animal Crossing app that is reportedly being released in the latter half of 2017 after several delays. The Legend of Zelda on mobile will be developed with DeNA.
Superman and Doctor Manhattan Meet in ‘Doomsday Clock’
DC's Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns is returning to comics later this year to continue the work he started with DC Universe Rebirth #1. Johns, artist Gary Frank and colorist Brad Anderson will chronicle the long-awaited meeting between Superman and Watchmen's Doctor Manhattan in a mini-series entitled Doomsday Clock.
Doomsday Clock was first revealed by Syfy Wire. The mini-series appears to serve as the endgame of the current DC Rebirth status quo, building directly on the events of both DC Universe Rebirth #1 and the Batman/Flash crossover "The Button" (which is set to wrap up in The Flash #22 on May 17). The series will explore the fallout when the DC and Watcmen universes collide, as Superman's innate sense of hope and optimism clash with Manhattan's cynical attempts to experiment with the fabric of the DCU.

King Arthur Is This Summer’s First Box Office Bomb
King Arthur: Legend of the Sword bombed in its opening weekend, placing third at the domestic box office with an estimated $14.7 million.
As noted by Variety, director Guy Ritchie's fantasy drama, starring Charlie Hunnam, is this summer's first box office flop and has a long way to go before recouping its hefty production budget of $175 million.
