The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is returning once again, this time as a film being developed for the streaming platform Hulu, THR reports.

The Disney studio division under 20th Century Studios will be responsible for the reboot, which will be written by Justin Haythe (Revolutionary Road, Red Sparrow) and produced by Susan Montford, Erwin Stoff, and Don Murphy, the latter having also produced 20th’s original adaptation of the series back in 2003.

Written by Alan Moore and illustrated by artist Kevin O'Neill, The League is set in Victorian England and borrows elements of stories like Dracula, Sherlock Holmes, and Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. It follows a group of heroes including Mina Murray, Allan Quatermain, Captain Nemo, Dr. Jekyll, and the Invisible Man fighting enemies like Fu Manchu, Professor Moriarty and aliens from H.G. Wells’ War of the Worlds.

A hit when it first came out, the series won the 1999 National Comics Award for Best New Comic (International), with the series’ first volume winning the Bram Stoker Award for best illustrated narrative and the second an Eisner Award for best limited series. It was also included in the 2005 edition of The Year's Best Graphic Novels, Comics, and Manga.

The film adaptation, however, is an entirely different story.

Though it grossed over $179 million worldwide (impressive considering its budget of 78 million), it took many creative differences, which led to its lukewarm reception with both fans and critics alike — scoring a 17% on Rotten Tomatoes. Its rating makes it one of the 15 worst superhero movies ever.

Another attempt to reboot would see it starring an all female cast and another a full fledged TV show, but neither made it off the ground.

THR reports that sources close to Haythe and the production team say that they’re “returning to the core comic books” for their inspiration, development.

At a recent anniversary event, Behaviour Interactive announced a new dating sim titled Hooked On You: A Dead By Daylighting Dating Sim. Developed by Psyop, the creators of I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin' Good Dating Simulator, it will feature "romance, steamy references and... shirtless outfits."

Hooked On You's stars will be four familiar Dead By Daylight killers who inhabit something called a magical land called "Murderer's Island:" The Huntress, The Spirit, The Trapper, and The Wraith. Here's how the official release describes it:

Aside from some seemingly accidental teases earlier this year, this is the first full look we've gotten of Maslany in the role as well as a more full look at the character of Walters and the comedic juxtaposition of her role as She-Hulk with her goals to be a serious lawyer.

We also get a look at Mark Ruffalo returning as Bruce Banner, handing off the Hulk role to a reluctant but powerful Walters as she comes to terms with her powers and their intersection with her personal life and career.

Marvel also dropped official poster art for the series:

In the comics Jennifer Walters is a lawyer who is a cousin of Bruce Banner. After an accident, Banner gives Walters a blood transfusion only to discover that it also gave her similar Hulk abilities.

The difference is that Walters is that it is a milder form of his Hulk abilities allowing her to control her emotions and intelligence. Something Banner can now do in the MCU following the events of Avengers: Infinity War.

Alongside Ruffalo, Tim Roth returns as Abomination, looking like he might need some legal advice from Walters.

Moon Knight is over, Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness is in theaters right now, and Ms. Marvel is waiting in the wings, but Marvel Studios keeps moving forward. Today, it announced that Echo is beginning production, with a planned release in 2023 on Disney+.

The series follows Maya Lopez, the Kingpin enforcer who featured in the Disney+ series Hawkeye. Maya, also known as Echo, is a deaf fighter with photographic reflexes. She was an Enforcer for Wilson Fisk who wanted revenge against Hawkeye for killing her father while in his Ronin persona. Ultimately, she parted ways with Fisk, shooting him towards the end of the series.

The Disney Plus show picks up with Maya in her hometown, when her former criminal activities in New York begin to catch up with her. According to Marvel, Maya has to "reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward."

As such, the cast is filled out with Native actors, including Twilight and The English actor Chaske Spencer, Stumptown and Killers of the Flower Moon actress Tantoo Cardinal, Reservation Dogs and American Gods actress Devery Jacobs, Hey Viktor! writer and director Cody Lightning, and 1883's Graham Greene. Zahn McClarnon is also reprising his role as Maya's deceased father, William Lopez.

Both directors are also of Native heritage, with Marvel pointing out that Freeland is Navajo and McKenzie is Gunaikurnai.

Echo looks to tell a mostly original story for the character, whose comic appearances have largely been in the pages of Daredevil and Avengers. Echo moved from being a Daredevil antagonist to a hero in her own right, and currently she's the host of the Phoenix Force.

A new still from Thor: Love and Thunder is now available, and while it's just one image, it offers quite a bit of insight for fans hungry for new info about the upcoming MCU movie.

In the photo, we can see Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie and Natalie Portman's Mighty Thor. Much has been said about Portman's increased physique for the role and she clearly shows off the results of her training. Valkyrie seems to be wearing a different set of armor, a far cry from the business suit she wore in the recent trailer.

However, the person sitting below them is a little more interesting. Some have identified the figure as the Goddess Bast, played by Akosia Sabet. Bast is well-known as a Panther deity worshipped by the Wakandans. Given that Gorr, the God Butcher is integral to Love and Thunder's story, it's not surprising that Bast would be present in the movie.

It's unknown if this is Bast herself or an avatar hosting the spirit of Bast similar to Moon Knight and Khonshu. The scene pictured here could be a gathering of different pantheons of gods and goddesses as they reckon with the threat of Gorr. Russell Crowe's Zeus was shown briefly in the trailer standing in front of what could be other deities.

Mighty Thor and Valkyrie being in attendance would also make sense considering they would represent the Norse pantheon.

There's also speculation that aspects of Moon Knight might tie into Love and Thunder's plot considering its focus on the Egyptian pantheon. In fact, the show was originally going to reference Love and Thunder, but the idea was scrapped due to scheduling uncertainties.
