Leaked Images and Video of Meta’s Next VR Headset Appear Online

It appears Meta's next-gen Oculus VR headset may have leaked after an early version of the hardware was found in a hotel room.

Images and a video of an unannounced Meta headset surfaced online recently. The photos and video, originally posted on Facebook by user Ramiro Cardenas showcase the packaging and controllers for a headset labeled "Meta Quest Pro." Cardenas claimed that the headset was left unattended in a hotel room.

Although Meta has not officially announced a "Quest Pro" headset, based on the leaked images and video, this headset may be Project Cambria, a high-end VR headset Meta teased at its Fall event late last year. In July, Bloomberg reported that it spotted references to a device called "Oculus Pro" in Meta's code.

Meta has not shared much on the Quest Pro, such as release date, pricing, or specs. But we know that the headset will be more powerful than the Quest 2, but instead of it being a gaming-centric headset, it is designed for work.

"Later this year, we'll release a higher-end headset, codenamed Project Cambria, which will be more focused on work use cases and eventually replacing your laptop or work setup," Zuckerberg said during an earnings call in April. Within the last year.

While Meta has yet to announce the name of its new VR headset officially, the company announced last week that it is holding an event on October 11. CEO Mark Zuckerberg confirmed the company will reveal its next VR headset and will likely share updates on upcoming games for its Quest products and the company's plans for its other endeavors, such as the metaverse.

This would not be the first time unannounced and unreleased devices were left unattended, with someone posting images of the products after finding them. In 2010, someone left a prototype of an iPhone 4 at a bar. If we are speaking more recently, Google's Pixel Watch prototype was found at a restaurant, while a prototype of the Pixel 7, which has yet to be released, was spotted on eBay in May.

Captain America: New World Order Star and Director Explain How a Post-Steve Rogers Movie Will Feel Different

Captain America: New World Order star Danny Ramirez has teased a different kind of Cap.

During an interview with IGN, the 29-year-old New World Order star, who previously appeared in Marvel’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, explained how this movie will feel different.

“I think Sam Wilson's his own person,” he said. “Specifically with the challenges that he faces in Falcon and Winter Soldier. A lot of the themes that we wrestle with, specifically, is the world ready for Sam Wilson as Captain America, and what that entails, and just seeing the wrestling of that in the series. And now the continuation of that.”

Sam Wilson is played by former Falcon, Anthony Mackie, who was handed the iconic shield by Steve Rogers himself at the conclusion of Avengers: Endgame.

It wasn’t until the end of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier that he stepped up as the new Cap.

“I'm just really excited,” added Ramirez. “We've been asked a lot about that dichotomy of Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson. And some people are like, ‘Yeah, but no,’ but Sam Wilson is our Captain America. And I think understanding and going fourth full tilt in that, and it's a really exciting place to be.”

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier explored some pretty heavy issues surrounding the new Captain America – specifically, whether or not America is ready for a black Captain America.

New World Order director Julias Onah explained why his different background makes Sam Wilson the perfect post-blip Captain America.

“Well, look, he is a different human being and coming from a different set of experiences,” he said. “Back in the Winter Soldier, we saw what it means for somebody like him to take the shield. But it is also a very different MCU. It's a post-blip MCU. It's a post-Thanos MCU. So, the world has changed a lot too. And the role of a hero has changed.”

Obviously, the film’s title hints that things have changed in a big way.

“What does that mean?” he asked. “The decisions he's going to have to make, and the situations he's going to be confronted with are radically different from what Steve Rogers had to deal with. And as a result of that, because he's a leader, now, of this team, he's got to make decisions that are going to have massive implications. So, the world has changed around him and he's a changed man, and I think that leads to some really exciting storytelling.”

Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Ubisoft Says It Won’t Have Gambling or Lootboxes After Rating Confusion

Ubisoft has made clear that an Adults Only 18+ rating that was presented ahead of Assassin's Creed Mirage's reveal was a mistake. The game will definitely not feature gambling or lootboxes, which were suggested by the rating.

In a statement made to IGN, an Ubisoft spokesperson said the game hasn't yet been rated and that any reference to an Adults Only 18+ rating - which apparently meant the inclusion of intense violence, blood and gore, sexual themes, partial nudity, and real gambling - was a mistake.

"Following the announcement of Assassin's Creed Mirage during Ubisoft Forward, some store pages mistakenly displayed the game for preorders with an Adults Only ESRB rating," said the Ubisoft spokesperson.

"While Assassin's Creed Mirage is still pending rating, Ubisoft wants to reassure players that no real gambling or lootboxes are present in the game."

This rating appeared ahead of Mirage's reveal at the Ubisoft Forward event last week and on its Xbox Store rating, causing many fans of the series to grow concerned over the "real gambling" element specifically, and how it could signal real money games or the potential inclusion of lootboxes.

This will come as a relief to many, especially considering Ubisoft's other recent announcement that it would be introducing an almost live service-esque hub system for its games in the future called Assassin's Creed Infinity, something that's often associated with lootboxes that offer randomised rewards.

Though exact details are still to come, Ubisoft has told IGN that Infinity is instead designed to be the player's own Animus that leads them into its various titles.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Listed for £35 at Major UK Retailer

Assassin's Creed Mirage is now available to preorder in the UK, listed at £44.99 for the Standard Edition on the Ubisoft Store, £49.99 for the Deluxe Edition, and £129.99 for the Collector's Edition. But, preorders are also now available at UK retailer GAME, which has both the Standard and Deluxe Editions listed at just £34.99 at the time of writing.

This is either a temporary error or simply an amazing deal. Either way, GAME will not charge you until the game releases (pay on dispatch), so you've got nothing to lose preordering this. But, if this is an error, GAME will likely correct the price very soon, so I'd check it out as soon as possible if you want to take advantage.

Preorder Assassin's Creed Mirage for Just £34.99 Right Now

One catch with GAME is that you will have to pay for delivery when the AC Mirage launches (currently the release date is TBC), and the delivery charge is £5. So, in reality, you're looking at £39.99 for the Deluxe Edition - which is still £10 off list price directly from Ubisoft.

But, if you are feeling extra savvy about things, you can also opt to collect the game from your local store when it launches. This also costs £5 (don't ask why), but GAME does 'reimburse' you, by giving you a £5 voucher to spend in-store. Seemingly this isn't as good as getting free delivery (or free click & collect), but it's better than nothing, and worth knowing before you preorder.

I know what your next thought is - why is a new Assassin's Creed only going to cost £35-50? This isn't a big RPG Assassin's Creed, and will therefore have a tighter narrative, and less overall gameplay.

This is simply speculation, but this is likely why the game won't be listed at the new premium prices for AAA games in the UK, £65-£70. Instead, as it's a smaller game compared to the previously gargantuan Creed titles, you're looking at a maximum of £50 for the game.

Assassin's Creed Mirage Deluxe Edition Preorders - What's Included?

If you do opt to preorder the Mirage Deluxe Edition, there aren't a ton of extras, but when it's listed at the same price as the standard version, you might as well go for it.

The Ubisoft website states that the Deluxe pack will 'unlock a Prince of Persia–inspired outfit, eagle and mount skins, weapons, and more'. While GAME also says you'll be getting the bonus 'digital artbook and digital soundtrack' as well. All preorders will also include a bonus quest: The Forty Thieves.

  • Prince of Persia–inspired outfit
  • Bonus Eagle and Mount skins
  • Bonus Weapons
  • Digital Artbook
  • Digital Soundtrack
  • Bonus quest: The Forty Thieves.

When is Assassin's Creed Mirage Releasing?

Right now we don't have a date for when Assassin's Creed Mirage will hit PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC. Ubisoft has simply stated the game will be released at some stage in 2023. So, that December 31, 2023 date is simply a placeholder on the GAME listing.

Daredevil: Born Again Star Charlie Cox on Appearing in She-Hulk, What to Expect from the Disney+ Series

Daredevil: Born Again star Charlie Cox has opened up about adapting his Matt Murdock in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, how dark the Disney+ series may be, and what else fans can expect when it arrives in 2024.

Speaking to IGN during D23 Expo 2022, Cox shared his thoughts on whether Daredevil: Born Again would follow the Frank Miller Born Again comic book run. While he claims he doesn't know one way or the other, he did share that he thinks the title is more of a sign that this is a new start for the character that began his life on Netflix and is now moving to Disney+.

"Great question, I don't know," Cox said when we asked him if Daredevil: Born Again would follow Miller's run. "I don't think it means we're gonna tell the Frank Miller story of Born Again in the comics. I don't think it means that. I think it means that we made the show, it ended, and now we're making another show. It's a perfect title."

In an interview with Variety, Cox discussed the tone of this new series and gave fans a small sense of how it will differ from the Netflix's Daredevil.

"I don’t know that it will be any more darker or any less dark," Cox said of Daredevil: Born Again compared to the Netflix series. "What does dark mean? There will be a tonal shift I’m sure because we’re doing more episodes and we’re now on a different platform. I don’t know, I haven’t read anything yet."

Cox did reveal that he changed up his portrayal of Matt Murdock for his appearance in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law to fit the different tone of that show.

"What was fun about being in She-Hulk for this one episode is... obviously the tone of this show is radically different, and in order for it to be appropriate for me to be in that show, I had to adapt a little bit my Matt Murdock so he was in a place in his life where he’s having fun," Cox said to Variety. "Where life is good and he’s a bit cheeky and a bit flirty and it’s tonally slightly different. It was a bit of an experiment, but it was really enjoyable, and I really had a good time, and the chemistry I had with Tatiana was amazing. So, if they do lighten the tone a little bit, I’m not afraid of that."

While this may give us a hint as to how Matt Murdock will act in Daredevil: Born Again, Cox doesn't believe that a Matt Murdock going full slapstick would be the right choice.

"Not over the course of an entire season, not with this character," Cox told Variety. "I don’t think that’s truthful enough to the source material for that to really work. But, there are plenty of Daredevil comics where there is levity, there is light-heartedness, there is fun, and I think with 18 episodes you have time to do a bit of both."

Lastly, Cox talked about how getting the call from Kevin Feige to join the MCU and Spider-Man: No Way Home was truly special and how it led to his New York life never being the same.

"My life has changed since having a phone call with Mr. Feige," Cox said to Variety. "Just that one scene in Spider-Man and it now feels like there is a different level of appreciation and recognition. Considering it’s one scene, it’s been shocking. You know, it’s funny, because before hand, I live in New York, I’m on [Netflix's Daredevil], it’s a beloved character. You walk down the street and people are like, “What’s up, Daredevil!” But now, it’s like people know my name."

During D23, it was also revealed that Daredevil: Born Again will consist of 18 episodes and that it will start filming in 2023. King Thanos Will Soon Threaten the Multiverse In a New Disneyland Ride at Avengers Campus

D23 Expo 2023 was home to some big announcements for Disney's theme parks and cruise line, including a new Multiverse ride at Disney California Adventure that will see the Avengers facing off against King Thanos.

King Thanos' arrival at Avengers Campus was only one of the many big reveals at the D23 panel, and we're here to break down what Disney fans around the world have to look forward to in 2022 and beyond.

Disneyland Resort: King Thanos at Avengers Campus, The Mandalorian and Grogu at Galaxy's Edge, and More

King Thanos is a brand-new Multiversal threat that was designed exclusively for Avengers Campus at Disneyland and he will be the main threat in a new "never-before-seen third attraction with a brand-new story" at Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure park.

While we didn't learn much more about the ride, we were given a glorious image featuring our first look at King Thanos and some of the heroes that must band together to take him down.

We don't yet know when this new Marvel ride will be ready, but Marvel fans will get a chance to meet the Incredible Hulk in his Quantum Suit beginning next week for a limited time.

For those in love with that galaxy far, far away, Disney has confirmed that the Mandalorian (Din Djarin) and Grogu will soon be walking around Disneyland's Galaxy's Edge. This legendary pair will start greeting guests in mid-November and will surely be a highlight.

Elsewhere in Disneyland news, Pacific Wharf will be "reimagined" as Big Hero 6's Pacific Wharf and will let guests meet Baymax and have fun in themed shops and restaurants.

Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway opened at Disney World's Hollywood Studios in 2020, and it is planned to join Disneyland in 2023 inside Mickey's Toontown.

Lastly, Tiana's Bayou Adventure will open in Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World in late 2024, and D23 shared some more info on the new ride that will replace Splash Mountain. Alongside giving a first look at how the ride will look, it was confirmed that many of the original cast members of the film will return to lend their voices to the ride, including Anika Noni Rose as Tiana, Bruno Campos as Naveen, Michael-Leon Wooley as Louis, and Jenifer Lewis as Mama Odie.

Walt Disney World Resort: Epcot's Big Transformation, Moana's Journey of Water, and More

Epcot was a big focus of this D23 panel, and it's because it is currently undergoing a multi-year transformation that will see the completion of the World Celebration neighborhood in 2023. Next year will also see Journey of Water open to the public. This new experience will invite guests to "follow the story of water on the planet, inspired by Moana's connection to the ocean." Figment the purple dragon is also set to appear in the park by the end of 2023.

As for Magic Kingdom, we got a quick look at Tron / Lightcycle Run, which will open in spring 2023, and it was confirmed that Happily Ever After will once again play during the updated nighttime spectacular in 2023 and that Hatbox Ghost will show up at Haunted Mansion as well.

While nothing was confirmed, Imagineering Portfolio Creative Executive Chris Beatty and Walt Disney Animation Studios Chief Creative Officer Jennifer Lee stopped by the panel to share a few "what if" ideas as to what could one day replace Dinoland U.S.A. or other areas around the park. Some of these ideas include lands themed after Coco, Encanto, and Zootopia. The possibilities, as they say, are endless.

Disney Around the World: The Disney Treasure Cruise Ship, Three Frozen-Themed Lands, and More

Disney also has big plans for its other parks and cruise line, and one of the big reveals in these categories was the reveal of its upcoming ship, the Disney Treasure. This cruise ship will set sail in 2024 and is inspired by "the theme of adventure, celebrating Walt Disney's lifelong love of exploration.

It is also taking inspiration from real-world influences from Asia and Africa and the "far-off land of Agrabah." Among other ways, this will take shape in the ship's Grand Hall, which will be a three-deck-tall atrium that features statues of Aladdin, Jasmine, and their Magic Carpet.

Disney Cruise Line is also planning on starting limited-time cruises in Australia and New Zealand in late October 2023 and it is hard at work on a new exclusive island destination at Lighthouse Point in the Bahamas for its guests.

Hong Kong Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, and Tokyo Disney Resort will soon be home to Frozen-themed lands. Hong Kong's Frozen area will open in the second half of 2023, and the others will follow.

Shanghai Disney Resort will soon be the first Disney resort to have a Zootopia-themed area, and it will let guests visit Zootopia Central Station and even meet an Audio-Animatronics figure of Officer Clawhauser at the Zootopia Police Department.

Disney fans in Asia have known of Mickey's favorite teddy bear, Duffy, for some time, and next year Duffy & Friends will be a new six-episode, stop-motion animated series for Disney+ to introduce them to others around the world.

Lastly, Disney revealed early details on Disney 100 Years of Wonder (Disney100), which will become the "biggest celebration in the history of the company." This means "new décor, specialty food and beverages, character experiences and more will come to parks around the world, with the heart of the celebration rooted at Disneyland Resort."

Disney CEO Bob Chapek: Moviegoers Have ‘Moved On’ From Pre-Pandemic Release Model

Alongside discussing Disney's handling of both the Scarlett Johansson situation and the "Don't Say Gay" controversy in Florida, Disney CEO Bob Chapek has stated that he believes moviegoers have "moved on" from the pre-pandemic release model that was so focused on theaters.

Chapek sat down with THR and was asked about D23's Disney and Pixar studio showcase that featured a lot of announcements for Disney+. In the past, Disney has obviously launched its biggest franchises with the help of the movie theater, but this age of streaming has put a bigger focus on services like Disney+, and Disney believes it's time to ride that wave into the future.

This doesn't mean Disney is giving up on the theater, but it believes its biggest stories, properties, and mega-franchises can also come from Disney+.

"Absolutely. We fully believe that," Chapek said of launching a franchise on a streamer like Disney+. "We’ve had titles in the past that, frankly, we put out in theatrical exhibition world [like] Encanto. It was a modest success theatrically and then we put it into Disney+ and it shot up to No. 1. I don’t have to tell you the phenomenon it became from a merchandise standpoint and from a music standpoint and how many more people saw it on Disney+."

Chapek continued to talk about how he still believes theatrical distribution is "essential" for some blockbusters, but a franchise can be born at home. For Disney, it's all about the flexibility of being able to release its films in theaters or on Disney+.

"We have flexibility," Chapek said. "This is a word I’ve used now since the beginning of the pandemic, when I first got this job …. There’s a lot of folks in the business, in the industry, that want the world to go back to what it was and it’s not, ‘cause the consumer has moved on. Ultimately everybody who’s in this business caters to one entity, and that’s the consumer. The business moved on.

"That doesn’t mean we’re not going to take great Marvel and Star Wars movies, and Avatar, and put them first in theatrical. We will because it’s a wonderful way to experience those films. But that does not mean that everything, for it to be credible or for it to eventually turn into a Disney franchise, has to go through that."

The conversation then moved to other topics, and one of the items talked about was Chapek's handling of the Scarlett Johansson situation that saw her sue Disney for a breach of contract due to Black Widow moving to a hybrid release on both Disney+ and in theaters. Her salary was based greatly on box office returns, and this move would impact her. She has since settled with Disney.

"There were a lot of people that got a vote in how we handled that. And I was one voice, and I’ll just say that our relationship with her agency and her has never been better," Chapek said.

Lastly, THR asked Chapek about his apology to Disney's staff over "Don't Say Gay," the Florida bill that aimed to prevent teachers from discussing LGBTQ+ topics. Disney was found to have been donating to Florida politicians who backed the bill alongside staying initially quiet on the issue.

"These are complex social issues where we absolutely, positively want to represent the needs and the expectations of our cast members, but we also realize that sometimes in such a divided world, there’s not alignment between what possibly large constituencies of our guest and consumer base are looking for in terms of the kind of content that they want to show their kids at this particular time," Chapek said. "What we try to do is be everything to everybody. That tends to be very difficult because we’re the Walt Disney Company.

"When you’re a lightning rod for clicks and for political podium speeches, the essence of our brand can be misappropriated or misused to try to fit the needs of any one particular group’s agenda. We want to rise above that. We believe Disney is a place where people can come together with shared values of what an optimistic and ideal future can be. We certainly don’t want to get caught up in any political subterfuge, but at the same time we also realize that we want to represent a brighter tomorrow for families of all types, regardless of how they define themselves."

The Mandalorian Season 3 Will Explore ‘Consequences’ of Mando’s Big Decision

Spoilers ahead for The Mandalorian Season 2!

The Mandalorian director Rick Famuyiwa has confirmed that Season 3 will be exploring the "consequences" of Din Djarin's big decision from this past season.

Speaking to IGN, Famuyiwa, who directed such episodes of The Mandalorian as Chapter 15: The Believer, discussed how Season 3 will put a heavy focus on Mando's decision to remove his helmet during his quest to rescue Grogu from the clutches of Moff Gideon and the Empire.

"There are obviously repercussions that come from the decisions we make," Famuyiwa said. "He made a decision for The Child which will continue to reverberate. So part of that is gonna be explored during the season. But a father will do anything for their child. A father in the moment really wanted to do the best for their child, and now they have to live with the consequences."

In 'The Believer,' Djarin made the decision to remove his helmet when he and Migs Mayfield were infiltrating a secret imperial mining hub on Morak. While this was in an effort to keep his cover and save Grogu, taking off his helmet, regardless of the cause, broke one of the biggest rules of being in his particular Mandalorian order.

As shown in the trailer for Season 3 and revealed in The Book of Boba Fett, Djarin will need to travel to Mandalore to seek out the secret, underground pools that can cleanse him of the shame in the eyes of The Armorer and his Mandalorian order. Now, if he will actually go through with the cleansing or will instead forge his own path forward is anyone's guess, but one of the biggest storylines in this upcoming season will be dealing with that choice from Season 2, one way or another.

The Mandalorian's third season won't return to Disney+ until 2023, so until then be sure to check out everything we know about the plot of Season 3 and why some Mandalorians can remove their helmets while others can't.
