Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers is shaping up to be a bizarre ode to classic Disney properties, and the latest trailer is stuffed full of nostalgic references.

The new movie coming to Disney Plus stars Andy Samberg and John Mulaney as Chip and Dale, three decades after the original Rescue Rangers show was canceled. In the new trailer, we can see the chipmunks interact with tons of Disney characters from days gone by,

Beauty and the Beast's Lumière appears, as does Flounder from The Little Mermaid. You can also see the live-action version of The Lion King's Pumba, Sneezy from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, a car from Pixar's Cars series, a sheep from Shaun the Sheep, and a very frightening grownup Peter Pan.

The references extend beyond characters, too, as eagle-eyed viewers can spot a Keyblade from the Kingdom Hearts series, Jimmy Neutron's iconic hair, and more. That's just the tip of the iceberg of what can be found in this trailer. See how many more characters and references you can spot by watching the video above.

The trailer shows how Chip and Dale have gone down different paths since their cartoon stardom in the 1990s. Chip got a job as an insurance agent, while Dale had CGI surgery (the cartoon equivalent of plastic surgery) and continues living in his past glory at fan conventions. When cartoon characters start going missing, Chip and Dale reunite for one more ride.

Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers was revealed on Disney Plus Day 2021, and is looking a lot different than classic Chip 'n' Dale fans might expect. In a trailer released earlier this year, we first learned just how meta the new movie looks.

Along with Samberg and Mulaney, Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers stars KiKi Layne, Will Arnett, Eric Bana, Flula Borg, Dennis Haysbert, Keegan-Michael Key, Tress MacNeille, Tim Robinson, Seth Rogen, J.K. Simmons, and Chris Parnell. The movie is set to debut on Disney Plus on May 20.

Get ready to hear from a lot of confused and angry cheaters.

Activision’s Team RICOCHET has unveiled several new ways they’re working against cheaters in a new blog post, including a rollout for the PC kernel-level anti-cheat driver for Call of Duty: Vanguard. The update will release across both Vanguard and Call of Duty: Warzone in an effort to curb players who cheat in the popular first-person shooter.

In the past, they have enacted a number of in-game mitigation techniques to help identify cheaters. Not only do these help identify their behaviors by collecting their data but it also employs ways that impede their ability to properly play the game. Today, the newest technique called cloaking has been unveiled, and it heavily affects their gameplay ability.

Cloaking stops cheating players from seeing opposing players in the game world.

"Characters, bullets, even sound from legitimate players will be undetectable to cheaters” the blog post details. On the flip side? Legitimate players can see the cheaters as they succumb to the madness of not being able to see anything going on around them."

Activision has also recognized how cheating may be impacting leaderboards across the globe in Vanguard. Going forward, if a ban is enacted against a player who has weaseled their way onto the leaderboards, their entry on the board will be deleted. This will give more room for players who play fairly.

Melissa McBride won’t be playing Carol Peletier after all in the planned Walking Dead spin-off featuring Norman Reedus , TVLine reports. Instead, what was once a Carol-Daryl spin-off will simply be a Daryl spin-off.

Universal released the following statement in response to McBride’s departure.

"Melissa McBride has given life to one of the most interesting, real, human and popular characters in ‘The Walking Dead’ Universe. Unfortunately, she is no longer able to participate in the previously announced spin-off focused on the Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier characters, which will be set and filmed in Europe this summer and premiere next year. Relocating to Europe became logistically untenable for Melissa at this time. We know fans will be disappointed by this news, but ‘The Walking Dead’ Universe continues to grow and expand in interesting ways and we very much hope to see Carol again in the near future."

Over the course of The Walking Dead’s 11 seasons, there have been a number of cast members who have exited the show. Currently, Norman Reedus and McBride, who play Daryl and Carol respectively, are the only members remaining from the show’s original season 1 cast.

The spin-off, announced in September of 2020, is one of several in the works. Besides the Carol and Daryl-centric one, a spin-off following Negan and Maggie is also in development. In it, the duo will head to the Big Apple. Besides that, an anthology series titled Tales of the Walking Dead is also heading to AMC and will premiere this summer.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is more than 15 years now, if you can believe it, encompassing a wide array of TV shows and movies. And if Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has anything to say about it, it won't be ending anytime soon.

Feige was on-hand for Disney's presentation at Cinemacon 2022, where Marvel unveiled new footage of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness among other events. During the show, Feige said that Marvel's leadership is currently planning their first retreat in three years, which will be used to plot out the next 10 years of the MCU.

There will be plenty to discuss. The MCU is packed these days, with a range of new heroes including Natalie Portman's Mighty Thor, and a whole multiverse to explore. The MCU has also dramatically expanded into streaming, with shows like Loki and WandaVision driving the larger event movies.

It's hard to get a feel for where the MCU is headed in the next decade and change, but there's no sign of the public burning out on superheroes any time soon. And with a couple exceptions, Marvel has rarely put a foot wrong to this point.

We'll know more when Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness releases on May 6. While you wait, check out how Thor: Love and Thunder can reconcile the MCU's most inconsistent character arc.

May might just be the biggest month of 2022 for Star Wars fans on Disney+ as it will see the two-episode premiere of the long-awaited Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

Set between Revenge of the Sith and Return of the Jedi, Obi-Wan Kenobi will see the return of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan and Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader. Following the two-episode premiere, episodes will debut each Wednesday.

For a bit more Star Wars goodness, Disney Gallery: The Book of Boba Fett will help fans celebrate Star Wars Day (May the 4th Be With You!) with a look into how The Book of Boba Fett was brought to life. May 4 will also see the arrival of Moon Knight's season one finale. A week later, Moon Knight will get its own behind-the-scenes feature in Marvel Studios: Assembled - The Making of Moon Knight.

Fans of Chip 'n Dale will be happy to know that the most famous chipmunks in the world will be having a "comeback 30 years in the making" with Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers. Starring John Mulaney as Chip and Andy Samberg as Dale, this hybrid live-action/CG animated action-comedy will introduce a new generation to the hilarious duo.

Sneakerella will also make its way to Disney+ on May 13 and looks to be a "high-energy, music-driven movie that puts a contemporary twist on the 'Cinderella' fairy tale." The film is set in the "avant-garde street-sneaker subculture of New York City" and stars Lexi Underwood, Kolton Stewart, John Salley, Chosen Jacobs, and more.

If you've been waiting to see Sonic the Hedgehog 2 from the comfort of your own living room, you won't have to wait much longer. Sega news site SEGAbits has confirmed that Sonic 2 will be available to stream on Paramount Plus starting on May 24.

The movie released in theaters back on April 8, making May 24 one of the first days the movie is eligible to appear on a streaming platform after the 45-day theatrical exclusivity window. The movie saw great success during its early theatrical run, earning the largest opening weekend of any video game movie.

The popularity of the two Sonic movies already has Sega doubling down on the franchise. We already know a third Sonic movie is on the way, along with an Idris Elba-led Knuckles spin-off series in development for Paramount Plus.

If you need a refresher on Avatar before the sequel, Disney has announced that James Cameron's first trip to Pandora will be remastered and re-released in theaters worldwide on September 23, 2022.

At CinemaCon, James Cameron shared a message about the future of Avatar. It's been over 10 years since the first Avatar movie, and with the sequel finally set to be released this December, Disney and Cameron announced a remastered version of the first movie to prime theater-goers for the sequel.

According to Cameron, the visual effects will be even more realistic and Cameron "set out once again to push the limits of what cinema can do."

In 2009, Cameron released Avatar which went on to become a global hit. Set on the alien planet of Pandora, Avatar followed a human named Jake Sully as he traveled to the alien planet and adopted a new life as a Na'vi alien-human hybrid.

Avatar pioneered 3D movie-viewing technology, at least for a while, and set the record as the top-grossing movie of all time. A re-release could add to Avatar's total gross, which it briefly lost to Avengers: Endgame before reclaiming.

Disney is betting big on the Avatar franchise at CinemaCon. Alongside the remaster, Disney officially confirmed the title for the sequel is Avatar 2: The Way of Water. A trailer for the sequel will premiere exclusively before Doctor Strange: And the Multiverse of Madness before hitting online a week later.

At CinemaCon 2022, Avatar 2's official title was revealed to be Avatar: The Way of Water. Furthermore, it was announced that a remastered version of the original Avatar will be released in theaters on September 23, 2022.

Producer Jon Landau appeared on stage to additionally share that Jake and Neytiri’s family will be at the center of each of the four sequels. Each film will be a standalone story, but all of them will be connected and will tell a much larger tale.

Director James Cameron appeared in a pre-recorded message to express his excitement for the world to see Avatar: The Way of Water in theaters on December 16, 2022, and teased that the team has “set out once again to push the limits of what cinema can do.”

Those in attendance at CinemaCon 2022 were also treated to a teaser trailer of Avatar: The Way of Water, and it was mostly a mood piece showing off the world and a lot of underwater footage. Jake Sully says to Neytiri that no matter where they go or what happens to them their family is their fortress."

The trailer will debut exclusively in theaters with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on May 6, and it won't be released online until a week after.

"Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, Avatar: The Way of Water begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure," the official description reads.

Avatar: The Way of Water will be directed by James Cameron and produced by Cameron and Landau. The film stars Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi, and Kate Winslet.

13 years after the original movie, Avatar 2 has wrapped, but we've only seen photos of a new human character, Jake and Neytiri's adopted child and the set so far. Star Zoe Saldana has seen 20 minutes of the movie, which she said moved her to tears.

PlayStation users who currently have both a PS Now and PS Plus membership will be getting upgraded to the new PlayStation Plus Premium Tier when it launches this year. The length of the upgrade will be equal to the longest subscription owned.

As reported by PushSquare, this means if you've got both subscriptions, and you've stacked your PS Plus for a number of years, you're going to end up with a seemingly good deal.

This was confirmed within a new PS Plus FAQ section which states: "If you are subscribed to both services [PS Now, PS Plus] when the new PlayStation Plus launches, you will be migrated into the PlayStation Plus Premium membership plan and you will have a new single payment date based on the longer of your two subscriptions."

So, for example, if you have PS Now subscribed up until August 2022 and an active PS Plus membership until September 2025 - that means you’ll be upgraded to PS Plus premium until September 2025 (or vice versa).

It was also previously confirmed that anyone with a PS Now subscription would be upgraded to PS Plus Premium at no extra cost, with a 1:1 conversion ratio on any subscription time you had left.

It wasn't long before PlayStation users quickly began to take advantage of this, stacking PS Now subscriptions for several years in order to get the most out of the conversion. But, this loophole was quickly shut down.

PS Plus Premium is the highest tier in the revamp of the PlayStation subscription service, and aims to have more than 700 games for streaming or download (including streaming on PC). It will launch in the US and Europe in June, with an earlier launch in Asia (excluding Japan) in May.

Game demos are also going to be a big part of PS Plus Premium, with developers now reportedly required to create timed game demos for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers.
