WWE 2K22 Announced During Wrestlemania 37 with Gameplay Teaser
During Wrestlemania 37, WWE 2K22 was revealed alongside a first look at gameplay featuring Rey Mysterio and Cesaro.
The short clip, which you can see below, features gameplay captured from a work-in-progress build but showcases the new character models and action fans can expect when the game arrives later this year.

WWE 2K22 will be 2K's first WWE simulation wrestling game since the poorly-received WWE 2K20.
In our review of WWE 2K20, we said, "WWE 2K19 looked like it stopped the downward trend for the series, but WWE 2K20 doubles back, breaks its ankle, and tumbles down the slope."
Following the game being criticized by us and others for its poor performance, numerous glitches and bugs, and more, 2K announced that WWE 2K21 would be cancelled and that, in order to deliver the experience fans want from a WWE game, it would be extending the production timeline for what is now known as WWE 2K22.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/10/24/wwe-2k20-review"]
To make up for the lack of a true WWE 2K game, 2K did reveal and release WWE 2K Battlegrounds that, unfortunately, also didn't receive great reviews.
In our WWE 2K Battlegrounds review, we said that it "works as a shallow party game you play for an hour, then move on to something else, and that's it."

Michael B. Jordan on Why Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Isn’t in Creed 3
Creed 3 star and director Michael B. Jordan has shed some light as to why Sylvester Stallone will not be appearing in the next entry of the Rocky spin-off series.
Speaking to IGN's Jim Vejvoda while promoting Tom Clancy's Without Remorse, Jordan revealed that one of the main reasons Stallone won't be returning is that this is a Creed franchise, and they "really want to build this story and this world around [Adonis] moving forward."
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2018/11/07/the-rocky-creed-saga-in-7-minutes"]
"Yeah, I think that Sly let it be known that he wasn’t coming back for this one but I think, you know, his essence and his spirit… there’s always going to be a little bit of Rocky within Adonis," Jordan said. "But this is a Creed franchise, and we really want to build this story and this world around him moving forward. So, it’s always respect and always a shit-ton of love for what he’s built, but we really want to push and navigate Adonis forward and the family that he created. So, hopefully you guys will love what I’m thinking… what we’re cooking up. I think it’s going to be something special."
Stallone's rep officially confirmed that he would not be returning for Creed 3 earlier this week, and this news follows Stallone's post on Instagram in 2018 when he said he was retiring the character and thanked everyone for "taking the Rocky family into their hearts for over 40 years."
Stallone played Rocky in eight films, directed four of them, and served as a writer or co-writer on all the Rocky films and Creed II.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/04/06/without-remorse-final-trailer"]
As for Tom Clancy's Without Remorse, the Jordan-led action film is set to debut on Amazon Prime on April 30, 2021. Jordan stars as John Kelly, a Navy SEAL who goes on a path to avenge his wife's murder only to find himself inside of a larger conspiracy. This film is an adaptation of Tom Clancy's Without Remorse from 1993.

Outriders Crossplay is Now Fully Functional Across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC
Outriders has confirmed that crossplay between PlayStation, Xbox, and PC is once again fully functional, and it has also confirmed that it is hard at work on resolving the inventory wiping bug that is plaguing many players and that a restoration event in the near future is set to bring back what was lost.
Crossplay was turned off during Outriders' rocky launch, but the latest patch that has now been deployed to all platforms will now allow friends to play together no matter where they choose to play.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/04/09/outriders-review-in-progress"]
As for the inventory wipe bug, this patch was supposed to greatly reduce its occurrence, but it appears that it actually caused an increase in reports.
Square Enix shared a note on Reddit, confirming that the team is "investigating it urgently," and that it is planning a one-off mass restoration that will bring back most of the lost gear.
While no date was given, it is hoping to take palce in "the coming week(s)," and will be additive to your inventory, meaning nothing will be replaced.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/04/07/outriders-playstation-vs-xbox-vs-pc-performance-review"]
This restoration event will only restore the most valuable tiers of items lost, like Epics and Legendaries, and will most likely not restore an inventory full of blue gear. Furthermore, restored items may not have the exact same stats as those lost, but they should be comparable.
Items that were acquired before an autosave could occur will unfortunately not be restored, and any individual restorations that are missed, or occur in the future, will be able to be addressed by Square Enix on "an ad hoc basis."
The Accolades Wipe issue is also something the team hopes to address in a similar restoration event or on a one-by-one basis, but these issues are more complicated and will take a bit more time.
[widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="legacyId=20097714&captions=true"]
These issues and more have led to the developers awarding any player who tried Outriders in the game's first two weeks a Community Appreciation Package.

Epic Is Losing Hundreds of Millions As it Battles Steam
Epic is set to lose at least $330 million in its battle to gain market share from Steam, mainly due to it offering exclusive games and free titles on its Epic Games Store.
As reported by PC Gamer, Epic's legal fight with Apple has given us insight into how much Epic is spending to build up the Epic Games Store, including that it committed around $444 million to exclusivity deals in 2020 alone.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/08/13/fortnite-1984-apple-parody-video-short"]
This money was spent on "minimum guarantees" for games that are exclusive to the Epic Games Store for a year. Since these games will not appear on Steam, Epic is offering these guarantees as advances to publishers whether or not their games sell enough to cover it. For example, Epic paid 505 Games $10.45 million for Control exclusivity back in 2019.
In Epic's end-of-year report, Epic confirmed that players spent $700 million on the Epic Games Store in 2020, but these third-party games only accounted for $265 million of that total. This reveals that Epic has yet to earn back the $444 million in advances to these third-party publishers and, even though some of these deals are surely for games in the future, Apple claims Epic is going to lose "at least $330 million in unrecouped costs from minimum guarantees alone," if 2019's deals are thrown in as well.
Apple's projections, which can be seen here, hint that, when factoring in exclusives and all other expenses, the Epic Games Store may lose somewhere below $600 million in total by the end of 2021. It also suggests that the Epic Games Store will not be profitable until 2027.
[widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=games-that-came-back-from-the-brink-of-disaster&captions=true"]
These estimates from Apple are from its summary of the arguments it plans to bring to court in May 2021 as it defends itself against Epic's antitrust complaint.
Epic has already responded to these findings, and it shared that it expects the Epic Games Store to start earning annual profits in 2023. Furthermore, while Apple claims Epic is "losing money," Epic claims it is "investing money," and that this and its 12% revenue share are all part of the plan to take on the behemoth that is Steam.
"EGS is not yet profitable at its current scale and stage of development because it has front-loaded its marketing and user acquisition costs to gain market share," reads Epic's filing, citing CEO Tim Sweeney.

Epic and Apple are set to go to an in-person trial on May 3, 2021, over issues that all began when Epic implemented a direct-pay system into Fortnite that bypassed the Apple App Store and its 30% cut.
Apple removed Fortnite from the App Store, and Epic then filed a lawsuit against the company, while also beginning its #FreeFortnite campaign.

Disney Parks Chairman Has Teased a Realistic, Retractable Lightsaber
Disney Parks chairman Josh D'Amaro has revealed that Disney is bringing that galaxy far, far away a little bit closer as he recently showed press a realistic, working, retractable lightsaber prototype that may be coming soon to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and more.
This virtual presentation was focused on the reopening of Disneyland Resort in California, upcoming Disney World attractions, and the opening date of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure.
At the end, D'Amaro lifted up this new lightsaber, turned it on, and said "it's real," before the video ended. According to press that were in attendance, like Spectrum News 13, "the way the light activated from the hilt was similar to how lightsabers activate in the Star Wars films.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/09/05/disneyland-lets-you-build-a-custom-200-lightsaberbut-wont-let-you-play-with-it"]
While no pictures or video of this new lightsaber have been revealed, Portfolio Creative Executive and Studio Leader for Walt Disney Imagineering Scott Trowbridge shared the news, saying, "A lot of questions today about whether the lightsaber that Josh D'Amaro revealed today was real or CGI, and, whether I'd share photos or video. Yes it was/is really real, and..... not yet."
No further details were given as to when we may see this lightsaber again, but it very well may be something that will appear at the upcoming Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser hotel and/or Galaxy's Edge.
Currently, at Galaxy's Edge, visitors to the planet of Batuu are able to visit Savi's Workshop and build a lightsaber of their own. These replicas are very high quality, but still feature a non-retractable blade. This new prototype could make the dream of becoming a Jedi just that much more real.
[widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=star-wars-galactic-starcruiser-hotel-at-walt-disney-world-concept-art&captions=true"]
As reported by WDWNT.com, a patent by Disney from 2018 for a "sword Device with Retractable, Internally Illuminated Blade," lines up with what seems to have been shown, but it's yet unclear if it is the exact same.
