Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker Announced for Fall 2021
Endwalker and Patch 6.0 will conclude the tale of Hydaelyn and Zodiark and will bring to a close the story that began in A Realm Reborn. Beginning with Patch 6.1, a brand-new story will begin in the world of Final Fantasy 14. Endwalker will also see the level cap raised to 90 and will feature "massive new areas" just waiting to be explored, including the imperial capital of Garlemald, Thavnair, and the city of Radz-at-Han. Fans of Final Fantasy X will also be happy to see the return of Anima as a new threat to face, and his design was recreated by his original creator. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=final-fantasy-xiv-endwalker-screenshots-and-artwork&captions=true"] A new high-difficulty raid - Pandæmonium - will also be added alongside a new Alliance Raid series that looks to reveal secrets of the world of Hydaelyn. The Trust system is also getting a new ally to recruit, and this time is Heavensward's Estinien Wyrmblood. Other additions include a new residential district known as Ishgard, upates to the Gold Saucer, a Island Sanctuary that looks surprisingly like Harvest Moon ("Raise animals, cultivate the earth, and learn to live off the land!"), and so much more.Presenting Sage, the new healer job debuting in #Endwalker!

Finally, it was revealed that Final Fantasy 14 will officially be coming to PS5 on April 13, 2021, in Open Beta. Marvel’s Blade Revamp with Mahershala Ali Scores Watchmen Writer
Marvel has a writer for its upcoming Blade film. Stacy Osei-Kuffour, a writer on HBO’s Watchmen series, has been hired onto the MCU’s vampire franchise, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Osei-Kuffour has several credits for TV but her award-winning work on HBO's Watchmen is what brought her into prominence. She specifically co-wrote episode seven of Watchmen and worked as a story editor on all other episodes.
Her other writing credits include Amazon’s Nazi-hunting drama/Al Pacino vehicle Hunters, Emmy-nominated Pen15, and HBO’s Run.

Ossei-Kuffour is also now the first black woman to write a Marvel movie. She follows in the footsteps of Captain Marvel’s Nia DaCosta, Marvel’s first black woman director.
The new Blade film will act as a reboot to the vampire Daywalker’s role in the MCU. The first Blade movie, starring Wesley Snipes, debuted in 1998 (spawning two sequels over the next four years), well before the formation of the MCU.

The original trilogy was written by David Goyer, writer on the Dark Knight trilogy, Batman vs. Superman, and the Call of Duty Black Ops series.

Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment, publishers of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and its 2017 sequel, Shadow of War (both developed by Monolith Entertainment), have finally managed to secure a patent for the franchise’s signature Nemesis System.
The US Patent and Trademark Office released an issue notice on February 3, 2021, stating that the patent would go into effect on February 23 of this year. Warner Bros. has the option to maintain the patent through 2035, providing they keep up with the necessary fees. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2017/10/09/middle-earth-shadow-of-war-fighting-in-the-arena-in-4k"] The patent, filed as “Nemesis characters, nemesis forts, social vendettas and followers in computer games,” effectively codifies the functions of Monolith’s Nemesis system and the sum of its parts as the property of WB. While the language in the application is fairly obtuse - as most patent claims tend to be - the “short” version is that the patent covers a system featuring procedurally-generated NPCs that exist in a hierarchy and interact with and will remember the actions of players, have their appearance/behavior altered by players, and whose place in that hierarchy can change and affect the position of other NPCs in said hierarchy (and yes, that’s the simplified version). [caption id="attachment_2469828" align="aligncenter" width="720"] From WB's 2016 patent application.[/caption] It also covers the Social Conquest battles from Shadow of War, wherein players can fortify or attack one another’s strongholds to see how their army of orcs fares against their friends’. Warner Bros. has been trying to secure the patent for the system since 2015, but has had to repeatedly revise and resubmit the application. Initial rejections claimed that there were too many similarities in the application to other patents - including ones held by Square Enix, the mobile game QONQR, and even Webkinz - though recent rejections were more focused on the specificity of language throughout the patent. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2018/02/14/shadow-of-war-blade-of-galadriel-dlc-aiding-a-george-rr-martin-olog-hai"] While it’s unclear what would happen were a game to release with a Nemesis system of its own between now and February 23, after that date any developer wishing to build a feature with all the aspects detailed in the patent (or at least enough to be considered infringement) will have to secure a license from WB. Developers can still create similar systems that aren’t a 1:1 recreation of Monolith’s program, however – the Mercenaries in AC Odyssey or Watch Dogs Legion’s fascinating Census system are recent examples of dynamically-generated NPCs and social networks that would likely not be met with a legal challenge – though as members of both the Mordor games and Ubisoft teams have said, such systems are a major collaborative effort requiring considerable resources and development time. Rumors late last year year hinted that WB Games was potentially going to be acquired by Microsoft after reports that Time Warner was interested in selling its interactive division, though any talk of sales seems to have gone the way of an unfortunate orc captain.
