Spiritfarer: Three Free Updates with Four Adorable Spirits Arriving in 2021
Thunder Lotus Games has released Spirtfarer's development roadmap for 2021, and it includes three free updates, four new adorable spirits, and much more.
As detailed on a blog by Thunder Lotus, the first of the three updates is called Lily and will arrive in Spring 2021.
This update will bring with it quality of life improvements and an improved co-op system with a brand new UI and co-op fishing. Stella is also getting a bit more story content.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/08/19/spiritfarer-launch-trailer"]
"As Stella is getting more familiar with the job of Spiritfaring, she starts to uncover some of her memories, which are starting to blossom as wondrous flowers over her cabin," The blog reads. "These flowers house butterflies that roost to form our new spirit friend : Lily, Stella’s younger sister."
Lily, who is obviously the new spirit for this update, is the only spirit that is active during night. "Just as she had been a shining presence in her big sister’s life, here she illuminates the night and lets you navigate your boat even when it’s dark."
The Beverly update, which will be released in Summer 2021, adds new boat buildings, collectibles, recipes, and quality of life improvements. Beverly is the new spirit and is an old neighbor of Stella. She has been feeling lonely and is happy to finally have someone to talk to about the past.
The new station to be introduced is called the Archive Room and will allow players to inspect the new type of collectible known as Acetate Sheets.
The final update for 2021 is called the Jackie & Daria Update and will be released in the Fall. This update will include a new island to explore, new boat buildings and resources, and a new event.
The new island houses a run-down hospital and two new spirits. The spirits are an overworked caretaker named Jackie and their patient Daria. Stella is happy to lend a hand and help both of them.
We called Spiritfarer the best adventure/puzzle game of 2020. In our review of Spirtfarer, we said it "is a gorgeous mix of an action-platformer and an Animal Crossing-style town manager that stands out as one of the most unique and enjoyable games I’ve played all year."

NBC’s Young Rock Casts its 1980s Vince McMahon and Randy Savage
With Young Rock, the NBC bio-series about the formative years of wrestler and blockbuster movie star Dwayne "The Rock Johnson, about to premiere on Tuesday, February 16, additional casting has been announced for the roles of an 80s-era WWF owner Vince McMahon and late wrestling great "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
According to The Wrap, comedian Adam Ray (Spy, The Heat) is playing McMahon while Kevin Makely (2019's Badland) is playing Savage.

Previous to this, it had been announced that Matthew Willig was playing Andre the Giant, Nate Jackson was Junkyard Dog, and Brett Azar was The Iron Sheik. Since Johnson grew up in the wrestling business, with pro-wrestlers on both sides of his family -- his dad, Rocky Johnson (played by Joseph Lee Anderson), and his mom's Samoan dynasty family tree -- much of Johnson's childhood was spent with these larger-than-life personalities. Below you'll find the official show descriptions for Vince McMahon and Randy Savage:
Vince McMahon
Bold, ambitious and quickly rising through the ranks of his father’s company, the future WWE Chairman and Owner is a great friend and supporter of Lia’s and a trusted confidant when things get difficult for her with a rival.
“Macho Man” Randy Savage
One of the all-time greats, the Macho Man is known for his larger-than-life style and outsized personality both in and out of the ring. At only 10 years old, young Dewey was enamored with his unmatched wrestling ability and unique promotional flair and knew immediately he wanted to be just like him when he grew up. His originality and unforgettable catchphrases were a huge influence on him. Ooooh yeah!

The Division 2: Ubisoft Massive Confirms More Content Is Planned for 2021
The Division 2's Title Update 12 was meant to be the last Title Update for the game, but Ubisoft has changed its mind and has confirmed that more content is on the way later this year.
Ubisoft Massive posted a message from The Division 2 team on Reddit, saying that this new content is due to "your continuous passion and support."
"Today, we are thrilled to confirm that there will be additional content for The Division 2 released later this year! It is your continuous passion and support which enables us to continue to build upon The Division 2 experience, and we cannot thank you enough for that," Ubisoft Massive wrote.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/02/02/division-2-on-ps5-14-minutes-of-4k-60fps-gameplay"]
"Some of you had noticed that Title Update 12 was originally meant to be the last major Title Update for The Division 2, but thanks to your continued support, we are now in the early stages of development for fresh content to release later in 2021."
While no details were revealed as to what this content may be, Ubisoft promised we "won't have to wait too long."

Donald Glover and Phoebe Waller-Bridge to Create and Star in Mr. and Mrs. Smith Series
A Mr. and Mrs. Smith series is currently in development at Amazon, based on the 2005 film starring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and will star Donald Glover and Fleabag's Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
Glover and Waller-Bridge will also co-create and executive produce the series with showrunner/EP Francesca Sloane (Atlanta, Fargo). Mr. and Mrs. Smith will premiere exclusively on Prime Video, in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Jennifer Salke, Head of Amazon Studios, released the following in a statement: “Talk about the dream team! Donald and Phoebe are two of the most talented creators and performers in the world. It’s truly a dream for us, as it will be for our global audience, to have these two forces of nature collaborating as a powerhouse creative team. Mr. and Mrs. Smith is an iconic property, and we can’t wait to see how Donald, Phoebe and Francesca make it their own. We’re thrilled to be working with them, and with such great partners at New Regency.”

The 2005 film, directed by Doug Liman, follows the explosive adventures of a married couple who discover they are assassins belonging to competing espionage agencies. Glover and Waller-Bridge starred together, once before, in Solo: A Star Wars Story where he played gambler Lando Calrissian and she voiced Lando's droid companion L3-37, who, by the end of the film, had her consciousness uploaded into the Millennium Falcon.
Back in 2007, a Mr. and Mrs. Smith sequel series was in development for ABC, and was to pick up the story six months after the events in the movie. A pilot was filmed, starring Jordana Brewster and Martin Henderson, but the series was never picked up.

As of a year ago, Donald Glover's FX series Atlanta was expected to air both its third and fourth season in 2021, though it's not currently known if the pandemic dramatically delayed the Atlanta production that was supposed to happen in 2020.
After creating and starring in Fleabag, and then developing the series Killing Eve, Waller-Bridge also contributed to the No Time to Die script. No Time to Die, after many delays, and also almost taking a streaming deal, is currently scheduled to hit theaters on October 8, 2021.

New Ratchet and Clank Animated Short Is Unrelated to PS5’s Rift Apart
A brand new Ratchet & Clank animated short has appeared mysteriously on the Canadian streaming service Crave. But according to PlayStation, Ratchet & Clank: Life of Pie is an original licensed animation unrelated to the upcoming PS5 game Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
Last night, Reddit users discovered a mysterious new Ratchet & Clank animation on the streaming service Crave. More than that, Life of Pie also starred the original voice cast for the Ratchet & Clank video games.
The animation was done by Mainframe, which created the animated movie, and the credits say the feature was produced in 2019. But PlayStation confirmed to IGN that Life of Pie is not related to the upcoming PS5 game and not canon.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/02/11/ratchet-clank-rift-apart-release-date-trailer"]
“Ratchet & Clank: Life of Pie is a standalone, licensed animated special created and distributed by Mainframe Studios,” says a PlayStation spokesperson. “The show is not related to the upcoming Ratchet & Clank game for PlayStation 5 and is not official canon to the franchise’s video game narrative.”
Mainframe Studios is the same production company that created Ratchet & Clank: The Movie, which was itself a tie-in to the PlayStation 4 Ratchet & Clank game (which is fantastic, according to IGN’s review).
The movie itself doesn’t quite reach the highs of the video game, but if you enjoyed it, there’s now another mini-feature available on Crave for your viewing pleasure.

But if you’re excited about Ratchet & Clank’s PS5 outing, then unfortunately the Life of Pie will not have any secret easter eggs for you. However, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is coming soon on June 11, 2021. And no, we still don’t know the name of the mysterious new Lombax.
