James Gunn Eager for Fans to See Margot Robbie’s New Take on Harley

DCEU fans will be able to catch Jared Leto's Joker, complete with his new look, in Zack Snyder's Justice League when it streams on HBO Max starting March 18. But let's not forget that Joker's ex-squeeze, Harley Quinn, will be making her third movie appearance in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad this summer, on August 6. And Gunn can't wait for us to see what actress Margot Robbie's done with the role this time around. Answering questions on Twitter, Gunn was asked which Suicide Squad character he was most excited for viewers to experience. His answer? "It's hard to choose only one," Gunn wrote, "but I can't wait for people to see where Margot has gone with Harley." "And Weasel is really something to behold." When we last saw Harley Quinn, in 2020's Birds of Prey, she and Cassandra Cain sold the Bertinelli diamond in order to start their own business. Though nothing is confirmed, Gunn's comments seem to suggest Harley, perhaps, going even more off the deep end. Regardless of what direction Robbie's taking the character, however, Gunn's psyched for us to bear witness. Gunn's brother, Sean Gunn, who plays Ravager Kraglin in the MCU, is portraying (mo-capping) Weasel in The Suicide Squad. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=the-suicide-squad-whos-who-full-cast-and-character-reveals&captions=true"] The new plot synopsis for The Suicide Squad, released by Warner Bros., mentions the war-torn nation of Corto Maltese as a the film's backdrop. Corto Maltese is a fictional island nation in the DC Universe, first appearing in 1986's The Dark Knight Returns #3, and then referenced in multiple live-action DC projects over the years, including 1989's Batman. Gunn recently confirmed that The Suicide Squad is now "fully finished," and praised Warner Bros. for not even slightly interfering with the movie. Detective Chinatown 3 Smashed a Record Held By Avengers: Endgame

Detective Chinatown 3 had an incredible opening weekend in China with estimated ticket sales reaching $393 million, a number that not only surpasses Avengers: Endgame's North American opening of $357 million, but sets a record for a single market. As reported by THR and BoxOfficeGuru.com's founder Gitesh Pandya, Detective Chinatown 3 led China's box office over the Lunar New Year alongside the $160 million earned by the time-travel romantic comedy Hi, Mom. These early projections were given by ticketing app Maoyan and show that, despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, China's theatrical box office appears to be healthy and booming. It's also important to note that Detective Chinatown 3 was one of the many films delayed due to the pandemic. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/12/21/best-movie-of-the-year-2020-winner"] Maoyan also projects that Detective Chinatown 3 will conclude its run at $865 million, which would earn it the title of China's second-biggest blockbuster film ever, slightly missing out on dethroning 2017's Wolf Warrior's $874 million. Hi, Mom may have actually end up being one of the reasons Detective Chinatown 3 will fail to surpass Wolf Warrior 2, as "word of mouth for the comedy turned tepid" and Hi, Mom saw its share of daily earnings jump from 17.2% on Friday to 31% on Sunday, while Detective Chinatown 3 fell from 60% to 50%. Detective Chinatown 3 was shot entirely on IMAX cameras earned $23.5 million in Chinese IMAX theaters, making it the biggest opening weekend ever for a Chinese IMAX film. Valheim: Back Up Your Data to Avoid the ‘Evil World-Destroyer Bug’

Valheim developer Iron Gate is advising all players to back up their world and characters, as the "evil world-destroyer bug is still roaming free." Iron Gate's CEO Richard Svensson took to Twitter to share the warning, and let Valheim players know that the developer has yet to reproduce the bug even once, meaning it is still impacting certain players. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/02/12/valheim-11-tips-to-get-you-started"] Svensson notes that it "seems to occur more often if you exit the game by ALT+F4, so try to use menu->exit instead." He also notes that, if PC Valheim players weren't aware, worlds and characters are saved in C:UsersUsernameAppDataLocalLowIronGateValheim. Valheim has been a huge success for Iron Gate, despite being in Early Access, and it sold over one million copies in just 8 days. Zack Snyder’s Justice League Official Trailer Released

The official trailer for Zack Snyder's Justice League has been released and gives a glimpse of the film headed to HBO Max on March 18, 2021. Zack Snyder had been teasing the new trailer all week, and even revealed footage of both Black Suit Superman and Darkseid. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/02/14/zack-snyders-justice-league-official-trailer"] We also get another glimpse of Jared Leto's new look as Joker for Zack Snyder's Justice League. While we only got black and white images of Leto's Joker earlier in the week, we get a tease of him talking to Ben Affleck's Batman (Knightmare Batman!) in this trailer. Speaking of Jared Leto, he quote-tweeted the trailer with the words "We live in a society," which Joker also says in the trailer. This phrase quickly became one of the top trending phrases on Twitter as it's been a Joker-related meme for years now. No version of Joker has actually said the words up to this point, although there was a petition to have Joaquin Phoenix say it in 2019's Joker. This re-cut film of 2017's Justice League will feature around 150 minutes of unseen footage and "about four minutes of five minutes of additional photography." [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=justice-league-snyder-cut-all-the-known-differences-from-the-theatrical-version&captions=true"] Furthermore, Zack Snyder's Justice League will be rated R, which is a jump from the original's PG-13 rating. While it was once thought that Zack Snyder's Justice League would be released as a four-part miniseries, this new cut will actually be released as a four-hour movie on HBO Max. Zack Snyder was directing the original Justice League until he had to leave the project due to a family tragedy, and Joss Whedon stepped in to finish the film. The film was significantly changed and many called for the release of the "Snyder Cut." That dream is now close to being a reality. Zelda Remake Studio Grezzo Is Hiring for a ‘Medieval’ and ‘Stylish’ Project

Grezzo, the Japanese game development studio known for such games as the Switch remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening and the 3DS versions of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, is hiring for a new "medieval" and "stylish" project. As spotted by Nintendo Everything and verified by IGN Japan, there are currently three job openings - one programmer and two designers - and they tease that Grezzo is looking to develop a game that won't necessarily be photorealistic, but aims to have a stylish take on reality. [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="1125"] A possible tease of Grezzo's next project?[/caption] Besides the previously mentioned Zelda games, Grezzo also worked on The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition, The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, StreetPass Garden, the 3DS version of Luigi's Mansion, and much more. The studio has also developed two games - Arc of Alchemist and The Alliance Alive HD Remastered - that weren't exclusive to a Nintendo platform and also appeared on PS4. In 2017, Grezzo released an original IP known as Ever Oasis. In our review, we said "Ever Oasis combines town building and RPG adventuring to make almost every aspect enjoyable." [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/09/19/the-legend-of-zelda-links-awakening-review"] The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening remake was released in 2019, and in our review, we said "Updating the look but never losing the feel of the original, Link’s Awakening is a masterclass in remaking a classic."
