Big Hero 6 Characters Are Reportedly Not Coming to Live-Action in the MCU

While a recent report gave many hope that Hiro, Baymax and other characters from Big Hero 6 would be making their live-action debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it appears that is not true... at least for now. A source inside Walt Disney Pictures Animation Studios confirmed to Variety that the recent report by TheDisInsider.com about the Big Hero 6 crew joining the MCU is not currently true. However, that doesn't mean the heroes from the film that was inspired by a Marvel comic of the same name won't ever join the ranks of Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and all of our other favorite super heroes. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2014/05/23/big-hero-6-trailer-1"] The Big Hero 6 comic series, which was published by Marvel Comics and created by Man of Action, made its debut in September 1998's Sunfire & Big Hero 6 #1. Unlike the film's setting of San Fransokyo, the comics were set in Japan. Furthermore, Baymax was a synthetic bodyguard that was able to transform into a green dragon. Walt Disney Pictures Animation's Big Hero 6 was released in theaters in 2014, and since then, Big Hero 6 has returned to comics, made an appearance in Kingdom Hearts 3, arrived on TV as a spin-off series, and so much more. As Variety notes, Guardians of the Galaxy was an obscure Marvel comics title that has made its way to the MCU, so there is no reason to count out Big Hero 6's inclusion in the future. Xbox Games With Gold for March 2021 Announced

Xbox Games with Gold for March 2021 will include Xbox One titles Warface: Breakout and Vicious Attack Llama Apocalypse as well as the 2008 XBLA release of Metal Slug 3 and the Xbox 360 title Port Royale 3. Warface: Breakout will be available all month from March 1 to March 31. Metal Slug 3 will also become available on March 1 but will leave on March 15. Starting March 16, Port Royale 3 will be available for free until March 31 and Vicious Attack Llama Apocalypse will be free until April 15, according to Xbox Wire. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/xbox-march-2021-games-with-gold-trailer"] Warface: Breakout was released in 2020. It's a tactical first-person shooter and a spin-off of the free-to-play game Warface, which recently made its way to Nintendo Switch with cross-play coming in the future. Metal Slug 3 is the classic run-and-gun shooter first released in arcades in 2000. It was ported to the original Xbox with additional game modes, but that's not the version available. The port available for free in March was released in 2008 on Xbox Live Arcade. According to IGN's review of the XBLA Metal Slug 3 port, visuals were improved over the original Xbox port but the extra game modes did not carry over. Even worse, blood was also censored in this port. The blood can be restored by setting the language on the Xbox 360 to Japanese. It's not known if that trick works on Xbox One or Series X. Another version of Metal Slug 3 was released in 2017 for Xbox One, which lets players choose between different versions of the game. Unfortunately, the 2008 port is the version that Xbox Wire links to in the Games with Gold announcement. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/05/28/warface-breakout-17-minutes-of-gameplay"] Vicious Attack Llama Apocalypse is a twin-stick shooter released in 2018. Gamers take control of mechs to wipe out a llama apocalypse with four-player co-op. IGN Africa's review of VALA said the game has "a severe lack of variety, poor pacing of the action, and enough mild annoyances that add up to major irritations." Finally, Port Royale 3 is a pirate simulator set in 17th Century Caribbean. IGN's preview of the game said, "The relatively slow pace and simulation-based approach might keep action gamers at arm's length, but we were impressed by how many different ways there are to leave your mark on Port Royale 3's many sandy shores." [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=the-best-games-to-play-on-xbox-series-xs&captions=true"] Xbox Gold members still have time to pick up some of February's titles, including Gears 5, a remastered version of the original Resident Evil and Lost Planet 2. For anybody looking for new games to play on Series X, then look at IGN's guide to the best games on Xbox Series X|S. Microsoft was in hot water in January when they increased the price of Xbox Live only to revert back after a day of social media outrage. As a bonus, Microsoft said that all free-to-play games no longer require Xbox Live. [poilib element="accentDivider"] Petey Oneto is a freelance writer for IGN.

Frogger Gameshow Series Coming to Peacock

NBC’s Peacock streaming service is bulking up with...a new game show based on the classic arcade game Frogger?

Announced Tuesday, the Frogger game show will supersize the classic Frog-hopping, traffic-dodging courses from the classic games and pit contestants against one another for a cash prize.

The competition will feature twelve different obstacle courses, dubbed “crossings,” forcing contestants to “dodge treacherous traffic, leap over snapping gators and hop over hungry hippos to conquer the course.”

[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/10/02/stranger-things-pinball-machine-6-radical-hi-tech-features"]

NBC has ordered 13 hour-long episodes of the game show.

In case you’re feeling lucky, you can apply to be a contestant on Frogger here. Word of warning, as is typical for such shows, the application is pretty long and asks you to also submit a two-minute video. The show’s recruiters are looking for folks with a love for Frogger (duh), the 80’s, and any particular physical or mental skills that could help you compete.

Frogger was first released in 1981 by Konami. Its success spawned dozens of sequels and spinoffs and cemented its place in pop culture with countless references in the likes of Seinfeld, The Simpsons, and Wreck-It Ralph.

Frogger the game show is being developed by Eureka Productions, the production company behind other reality shows including The Amazing Race, The Real Dirty Dancing, and more.

Fall Guys’ Next Season Seems to Be an ’80s Sci-Fi Theme

Fall Guys announced on Twitter that season four of the wacky battle royale is titled "Fall Guys 4041." Only a brief logo teaser was shown, featuring bright, neon lights, and sci-fi sound effects. No official start date for season four was given, but the game's third season, Winter Knockout, is set to end in the coming days. New seasons typically bring brand-new stages, new costumes to unlock, and refreshes to existing courses. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/06/24/fall-guys-minigame-explainer-trailer"] Fall Guys also recently revealed a new Cuphead crossover, as Cuphead and Mugman costumes will arrive in the game's store later this week. It's not the first crossover for the game, as Fall Guys has also featured skins from famous franchises like Sonic the Hedgehog, Doom, and even Untitled Goose Game.   Fall Guys gained a lot of attention when it launched last summer. The game was released for PlayStation users as a part of PlayStation Plus, where it quickly became the most-downloaded PS Plus game ever. Fall Guys also managed to land on Steam's 2020 Top Seller list. Currently, the game is only available on PlayStation and PC, but we recently learned Fall Guys is coming to Nintendo Switch and Xbox consoles later this year. However, there are currently no plans to bring the game to Xbox Game Pass. Because It’s 2021, The Undertaker Has Endorsed The Rock for President

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson may be the president that we never knew we needed, according to his old WWE pal The Undertaker. Mark Calaway, aka The Undertaker, believes that the wrestling-champion-turned-Hollywood-heavyweight could add a new title to his already impressive resume, per TMZ Sports. The Undertaker endorsed his former nemesis from the squared circle for a position in the Oval Office, saying that Johnson could be "the uniter that people are looking for" if he decided to run for president. "That man works his tail off and he dives in wholeheartedly in everything that he does and if he gets his mindset that he wants to make a run at politics, ya know what? I think he'll do it," The Undertaker told the outlet, verbally tag-teaming his friend into the running. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=dwayne-the-rock-johnsons-10-best-movies&captions=true"] The Undertaker, who officially announced his retirement from WWE last year, seemed confident that his pal wouldn't have to put up much of a fight in the presidential election. When asked if he thought Johnson could help to mend the political divide in America, he said: "I think so. He's so charming, he's so witty, I think he can be the uniter that people are looking for." "I know that he has the charisma. Maybe all it would take would be one eyebrow, and he'd look at the left, raise the eyebrow. Look at the right, raise an eyebrow and hit 'em with 'the People's Elbow," he added. "I don't know man, there's so many possibilities and if that's what he chooses to do, I'll support wholeheartedly in his efforts to do so." So that's one vote in the bag for Johnson, who previously confirmed that a foray into the political arena wouldn't be out of the question for him. In fact, Johnson told USA Today earlier this month that he would be open to considering "a presidential run in the future if that's what the people wanted." [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/03/10/disneys-jungle-cruise-official-trailer-2"] Johnson has a championship belt of achievements to his name, arising out of a career that includes everything from being a former professional wrestler and American football player to being an A-list actor, producer, and businessman. He was also named the world's highest-paid actor for a second consecutive year in 2020, having earned an estimated $87.5 million in a 12-month period. Over the past year, Johnson has been busy working on multiple productions, including Disney's Jungle Cruise and Netflix's Red Notice, a forthcoming action-comedy thriller from Rawson Marshall Thurber. The movie marks the third collaboration between Johnson and Thurber after 2016's Central Intelligence and 2018's Skyscraper, and it's coming to Netflix this year.
