Ark 2 Announced With Vin Diesel

Okay. It's Vin Diesel in Ark 2 as revealed at The Game Awards. Seriously. Ark 2 is a sequel to Ark: Survival Evolved, an action-adventure survival game where players must survive a hostile, prehistoric world filled with sci-fi technology. The cinematic trailer for Ark 2 begins with a band of prehistoric travelers who are attacked by a giant dinosaur and then a hostile group of raiders. And Vin Diesel is in it, did I mention that? [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/12/11/ark-2-cinematic-trailer"] In an absolutely gonzo turn, actor Vin Diesel of Fast and Furious fame is in Ark 2. It's unclear if he will be the sole protagonist of Ark 2 or a character that players can interact with. Ark will also be getting an animated series with a voice cast that includes Karl Urban, David Tennant, Michelle Yeoh, and Elliot Page. IGN gave Ark: Survival Evolved a 7.7, praising its compelling survival gameplay but with a nice narrative frame. Disney revealed the first details on plans for Marvel's Ant-Man 3 during Disney’s annual investor day presentation on December 10. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige announced the film will be called Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The MCU mastermind also gave an update on the Blade TV series, which was announced at Comic-Con over a year ago, and on Thor: Love and Thunder plus several other new MCU-related projects. The Ant-Man sequel sees the return of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, and Michael Peña as Luis. With Hope, Hank, and Janet now all back from the dead – and Scott's daughter Cassie now a teenager – it seems like we'll see the insect-sized hero fighting foes alongside his family next time around. As for Blade, which will star Mahershala Ali, Feige said that development on the show continues and storylines are coming together for it. He promised more updates soon. Regarding Thor: Love and Thunder, Feige confirmed that Christian Bale is playing the villain Gorr the God Butcher. The film will be released on May 6, 2022. You can learn all about who Gorr is right here. In addition to these updates, several brand-new projects were revealed. Baby Groot, of Guardians of the Galaxy fame, will get his own series of shorts on Disney+ "featuring several new and unusual characters." The series will be called I Am Groot, but no launch date was discussed. Not to be undone, Groot's buddies are getting a Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, with James Gunn writing and directing. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will arrive in 2022, and Fiege confirmed the special will be filmed alongside Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Don Cheadle will also be returning as James Rhodes in a Disney+ series called Armor Wars. Armor Wars will explore the consequences of Tony Stark’s tech falling into the wrong hands and chart War Machine’s efforts to deal with the consequences. No specific launch date for Armor Wars was confirmed. [ignvideo width=610 height=374 url=https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/07/26/thor-love-and-thunder-jane-foster-as-thor-explained]

Secret Invasion Series Officially Announced for Disney Plus

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige officially announced a Secret Invasion streaming series for Disney+ during Thursday's Disney investors' call. Feige confirmed that Nick Fury actor Samuel L Jackson and Captain Marvel's Ben Mendelsohn, who played Talos in the 2019 superhero film, will star. Nick Fury and Talos were last seen Spider-Man: Far From Home, where the end credits tag scene revealed that Fury was actually in a space station with other Skrulls the entire time while Talos was doubling as him. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/marvels-falcon-and-the-winter-soldier-official-trailer-1"] Secret Invasion will see Fury and Talos investigating a sect of Skrulls who’ve infiltrated the highest levels of authority in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. 2019's Captain Marvel planted the seeds for the Secret Invasion of the MCU. The Skrulls, as you will recall, are a shapeshifting race of aliens with green skin and pointy ears. They’re the villains who are at war with the Kree, another race of aliens that Captain Marvel is allied with at the start of the film. The Skrulls’ most iconic storyline in the comics is the 2008 event Secret Invasion where numerous citizens of Earth and even several superheroes are revealed to be Skrull sleeper agents who then enact their years-in-the-making plan to conquer the planet. With Captain Marvel establishing the Skrulls in the ‘90s of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it certainly opens the door for Secret Invasion to come to fruition in a later movie. In more Marvel news, the studio revealed that Doctor Strange in the Multi-verse of Madness will connect to Spider-Man 3, Falcon and the Winter Solder release date revealed, and Ms. Marvel and Monica Rambeau have been confirmed for Captain Marvel 2. Fantastic 4 Movie Officially in Development at Marvel

Kevin Feige has confirmed that a Fantastic 4 movie is in the works at Marvel Studios, which will be helmed by Spider-Man: Homecoming and Far From Home director Jon Watts. "I'm happy to announce a film about one of the truly iconic Marvel families - in fact, Marvel's first family: the Fantastic Four. We're working on a feature now and it will be directed by the director of our recent Spider-Man films, Jon Watts," Feige said, dropping the news at the end of Disney's annual Investor Day presentation following a deluge of updates about new Marvel TV shows. These include an Ironheart series centered around Riri Williams (played by Dominique Thorne), a Disney+ adaptation of the Secret Wars comics storyline starring Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn's Talos, and an Armor Wars adaptation starring Don Cheadle's James Rhodes, which revolves around "Tony Stark’s worst fear coming true: what happens when his tech falls into the wrong hands?" We also got a first look at the trailers for Marvel's Loki TV series and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which will be released in March. Watch those below: [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/12/11/marvels-loki-official-trailer"] [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/12/11/marvels-falcon-and-the-winter-soldier-official-trailer-1"] It was only a matter of time before Marvel began development on a Fantastic Four movie after Disney regained the rights to the characters - along with the X-Men - in its acquisition of 20th Century Fox, and fans have long speculated which of Marvel's iconic families would get the MCU treatment first. Feige didn't offer any other details of the story or cast, as the project is still in the early stages of development - hit the comments with your dream casting for the Marvel reboot of the Fantastic 4 franchise. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=marvel-cinematic-universe-every-upcoming-movie-and-tv-show&captions=true"] Feige also confirmed that the role of Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa won't be recast for Black Panther 2, that Ms. Marvel will appear in Captain Marvel 2, and that Tatiana Maslany will star as She-Hulk in the previously announced series, which will also feature Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, and Tim Roth reprising his role as the Abomination. And if that wasn't enough, Kathleen Kennedy announced two new live-action Star Wars shows, one centered around Ahsoka Tano, and another called Rangers of the New Republic, along with a new Star Wars feature film, Rogue Squadron, directed by Patty Jenkins.

Telltale Confirms No Reveals at Game Awards, So Don’t Expect The Wolf Among Us 2

Bad news for fans of The Wolf Among Us. Telltale Games has confirmed it will not be showing any new look at the sequel to its cult hit adaptation of the Fable series at 2020’s Game Awards.

Telltale posted a message on Twitter to let fans know the company plans on taking more time on the series, saying they are developing the entire season at once.

“We know you’re excited to hear more about TWUA2 [sic],” Telltale wrote. “And we look forward to telling you more when the time is right. What we can say is that we are developing the entire season at once and there is more to do before we’re ready to share what’s next for the Fabletown gang. It’s just not time yet.

Telltale also reiterated that the rights to some of the properties they previously developed games for have reverted back to their original owners, and “their fate is not currently in our hands.”

“For now, think of us as fans -- just like you!” Telltale’s statement continued. “We are a team dedicated to the Telltale legacy for narrative games, here to celebrate the classics with an eye on what’s to come. And trust us, when the time is right, we’re going to have a LOT to talk about.”

 [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=the-wolf-among-us-2-reveal-screens&captions=true"]

The Wolf Among Us 2 has had something of a tumultuous development history, to put it lightly. The sequel series has actually been announced at the Game Awards twice now -- once in 2017, which was then followed by Telltale Games being shut down in 2018 due to longrunning management issues, crunch, and creative meddling. That was then followed by Telltale Games being purchased by Malibu-based LCG Entertainment and revived as a new brand, although no creative leads or game designers from the original team have returned.

The Wolf Among Us 2 was then finally announced again at the 2019 Game Awards for consoles and an Epic Games Store PC exclusive.

Sad news for fans of gritty detective noir starring talking pigs, but the 2020 Game Awards are sure to feature some high-profile game reveals. Here’s how to watch the Game Awards today. Famous stars like Keanu Reeves, Brie Larson, Tom Holland, and others are scheduled to appear. We also know that a new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighter reveal is coming, plus a first look at Call of Duty: Black Ops Warzone season one, and a look at the next Dragon Age, and more. Click the link above for more info. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/08/14/what-is-doctor-strange-2s-multiverse-of-madness"] Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was originally going to be directed by the original's Scott Derrickson, but it will now be directed by Sam Raimi.
